I have severe dry skin, dark spots, and deep smile lines, but since discovering La Jeuneur, I've become a true believer. I learned about it through YouTuber Jeina, and it had exactly the ingredients I needed. I've lost count of how many bottles I've used already. It's definitely effective for firmness and wrinkles, and the silky application feels amazing. In winter, I layer it twice before bed, and wake up with moisturized, honey-like skin. At first, I bought single bottles from La Jeuneur's website, but now I set notifications for Jeina's group buys to stock up on three at a time. It's become my holy grail product. If you're over 40, you absolutely must use Matrixyl - actually, even if you're in your 30s, start early!
ConsWhen I first used it, the scent was quite strong, like a men's cologne. As someone who gets uncomfortable eyes even with just sunscreen and is sensitive to fragrances due to allergies, it made my eyes sting and my nose hurt. It was quite uncomfortable. But because it was so effective for my skin, I gradually increased the amount I used. After finishing several bottles, I think my nose has adapted... Now I can apply it generously without noticing the scent much. However, my husband still says I smell like men's skincare. I really wish they would improve the fragrance.
TipMatrixyl works best when used after products containing retinol, vitamin C, or niacinamide in your skincare routine. It helps to enhance the effectiveness of the products applied before it. I've heard it acts like a signal booster, helping your skin better absorb the previous products you've applied.

I bought it because I'm at an age where I need to pay attention to wrinkles. Matrixyl is said to help with aging and elasticity. I'm using retinol in serum form and Matrixyl in this cream. It absorbs well, leaves my skin feeling moisturized, and seems to be effective for wrinkles.
ConsThe price is a bit steep. I can understand this to some extent given the quality ingredients. But the scent... Even after using it for 2 months, I still can't get used to it. It smells like old-fashioned men's aftershave. I think it bothers me more because I'm sensitive to fragrances. Maybe it'll get better with more time.
TipUsing it together with retinol is more effective for wrinkles!

With a good amount of oils, the texture is incredibly smooth and rich. I'd recommend it for dry skin, but not for oily or blemish-prone skin types. A little goes a long way - it applies smoothly and feels very hydrating. Though it's on the pricier side, you don't need to use much. It doesn't leave a greasy finish and doesn't pill when you apply sunscreen over it. It provides decent hydration even during seasonal changes and winter. I think it could work well as a finishing cream for normal to dry skin types. I was cautious because my eczema-prone areas are super sensitive, but fortunately, I've been using it without any major issues. (Edit* Those sensitive to oils or with skin conditions should be careful. I'm now only using it as an eye cream.)
ConsThe fragrance is too artificial for my liking. The color also looks synthetic... I think an unscented version or one with a herbal scent would be better.
