  You need to control the amount well to avoid blemishes. My skin texture has improved so much that I plan to keep using it. Even though I apply only a small amount to prevent breakouts, it's still sufficiently hydrating.

  Cons

  The key is controlling the amount. If you apply too much, you might get blemishes.

  Unfortunately, I didn't find any positives with this product, which is disappointing. I had high hopes and purchased it based on Jena's recommendation, as her advice has improved my skin before. I usually have no issues with retinol, niacinamide, or vitamin C and ferulic acid, and I absolutely loved the Le Nouveau cream. So, I was eager to try the Matrixyl cream too. I have combination skin and need to be careful with chin sebum that can lead to large blemishes.

  However, this cream not only causes blemishes on my chin but also on my cheeks, which I've never experienced before. I've always only had to worry about chin blemishes, but with this product, I get breakouts on both my chin and cheeks. I wanted to use it diligently since it's supposed to work well with retinol, but it's really disappointing. I'm not sure which ingredient doesn't agree with me. This is the first time I've had reactions on my cheeks from a skincare product, and they don't clear up quickly either. I've tried using it three times when my skin was in its best condition, and each time I got blemishes on my cheeks and chin. They're slow to heal, and the chin acne is particularly distressing. What should I do with the remaining product? I guess I can only use it as an eye cream for the delicate eye area.
