I have sensitive, blemish-prone, dry skin. However, my forehead, nose, and chin areas are slightly oily and particularly prone to skin irritation and small bumps, so I'm very careful about choosing and applying skincare products. Overall, I felt this cream helped balance oil and moisture! I think anyone could use it comfortably by adjusting the amount based on their skin condition and type. The hydration level is just right, and despite my sensitive skin, I didn't experience any major issues after use - perhaps because the ingredients are good, except for the fragrance. When I applied it at night and woke up about 6 hours later, it still felt like it was lightly coating my skin. It washed off easily with just water. However, my skin did feel dry quickly after contact with water. Honestly, it didn't seem to provide long-lasting deep hydration for my skin. I was satisfied with the texture. I liked how it spread smoothly like a slightly dense sorbet when applied. It had a nice finishing touch over emulsions or ampoules, feeling neither too heavy nor too light. Due to its rich texture, if I applied a mineral sunscreen before the cream was fully absorbed, the sunscreen would pill. It's important to control the amount and wait for the cream to absorb before applying sunscreen or foundation on top.
ConsAfter Chuseok, when the weather suddenly turned chilly with significant temperature fluctuations, I noticed my skin becoming increasingly dry at night, especially on days when I applied a lot of mineral sunscreen. I was particularly concerned about my cheeks, around the mouth, and eye area, so one day I applied this cream generously like a sleeping pack. I regretted it the next morning. The area around my eyes immediately developed small bumps. Although it's not an extremely thick cream, it's rich enough even for my dry skin. It's much better to apply it thinly rather than being too greedy. Applying too much skincare product can easily lead to milia under the eyes. When I first opened and applied it, I immediately thought the scent was almost identical to the Missha Super Aqua Peeling Gel I used long ago. While this didn't deter me from using the product, I didn't particularly like it either. Since I apply cream as the last step of my skincare routine, the lingering scent until bedtime was a bit disappointing. The fragrance seemed to last quite a while. I recently tried a serum with squalane as its key ingredient, which had a cool cucumber scent. It seems this might be a fragrance that matches well with the image of squalane and hyaluronic acid. It's just a matter of personal preference!
TipThanks to its unique texture, it has excellent spreadability and finish, and I think it's especially recommendable for combination to dry skin types. It's a product that helps balance oil and moisture levels appropriately! Be careful when applying around the eyes. From my experience, while it didn't cause my skin to react badly, applying too much can lead to small bumps and other blemishes!
