A lip pencil I love for its smooth application, great color, and slim pencil-like design! The downside is that it seems to fade a bit when blending. While I appreciate the slim pencil-like design, I kind of wish it was just a tad thicker. - dy***Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 29, 2025
As someone who used to use the Heart XXX lip pencil, I found it too thick and clumsy, lacking precision. I was looking for a replacement, and this is perfect! I've tried both the Sephora and Heart XXX lip pencils, and I prefer the Sephora one. I recommend this to people who, like me, prefer a thinner pencil tip for more detailed application. It doesn't create overly harsh lines, and it blends beautifully with your fingers - it's fantastic. You can draw thin lines and blend for a perfect overlined lip look. With thicker pencils, I always ended up overlining more than I wanted. I'm extremely satisfied with this product. It's even better knowing it was co-developed with YouTuber Hye-rim. They include a sharpener when you buy it, which is great (you have to buy the sharpener separately for Sephora's pencil). The shade #1 is perfect for those with light undertones - go for it without hesitation! There's absolutely nothing bad to say. I'm completely satisfied using this product! Get shade #1 and don't forget to blend after application! - by********Dry SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 4, 2025
Hyerim's wood lip pencil that you sharpen to use is a game-changer! It's as firm as a regular pencil, not soft or mushy at all. It glides on smoothly with a satisfying scratch, blends beautifully, and has impressive staying power. Even after hours, it's still there looking fresh! The slim design is perfect for creating a thin lip line or building up to your desired thickness. The color is a subtle pink that's close to natural lip color, making it easy to overline your lips for a natural-looking plump effect. While it should work for most skin tones, I'd especially recommend it for those with cool undertones rather than warm. The only downside is that since you need to sharpen it, it seems to wear down a bit faster than twist-up pencils. - cu*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 1, 2025
I tried all the testers at Olive Young, and Clio's lip pencil had the most matte and firm texture among them (though it doesn't apply as smoothly). That's why I chose it. I needed something that wouldn't come off while eating...! First off, my lips have intense pigmentation (dark brown tint) and the inner part is very pale, creating a stark contrast. I couldn't use anything but dark colors when applying lipstick. Plus, concealer and foundation alone weren't enough to cover it, which was stressful. When I tried the testers, shade #1 Rosy Pink covered my hand veins the best among all colors, so I went with this product. It was an excellent choice~ *The photo shows the product applied only to the pigmented line on the left side of my upper lip (the inner part is bare)! I was torn between this and #2 Peach Beige, but the latter seemed too different from my usual lip color tone, so I went with #1. Super satisfied! Due to its firm texture, it's not the smoothest to apply on the lips - I'd rate the application about 0.5 out of 5. It feels a bit dry? - ji*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresFeb 18, 2025
Lip Type of the Reviewer: I have heavily pigmented lips! While I don't often get dry, flaky lips, I do have some lip lines. I always make sure to apply lip balm for a clean base before using any lip products. Texture: It glides on smoothly! There's no tugging, so application is comfortable. Pigmentation and Coverage: Since the base color is quite deep, it covers lip pigmentation really well! Plus, it's great for creating a natural-looking overlined lip. Color: For someone like me who enjoys gradient lips, this is too intense. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're looking to create a full lip with an overlining pencil. Packaging: The pencil format that needs sharpening is quite inconvenient. If you don't sharpen it regularly, the wooden part gets messy. Staying Power: Even if I could overlook everything else, good staying power would make it worthwhile. Unfortunately, the staying power is really disappointing. Recommended for: Those who want to create a full lip look with an overlining pencil Those who prioritize color over longevity Will I repurchase? No. - ye***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJan 29, 2025
I've always struggled to find the right lip pencil because my bottom lip is naturally fuller while my upper lip is thinner. I chose shade #1 since my lips are quite pigmented. I was worried the thin pencil might look outdated, but it actually looks more natural... It's easy to blend and gives a more natural finish than the thicker lip pencils that are popular now. Highly recommend! Just keep in mind that because it's thin, you need to be precise with your lip shape. Otherwise, you might end up with an early 2000s vibe... Your natural lip color should be somewhat deep for this to work well. - fr*******Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJan 20, 2025
I'm so impressed with the staying power! It sets well and stays put even after eating. Nothing particularly bad, but you should choose a shade that matches your natural lip color well. - th*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedNov 27, 2024
The smooth application is absolutely top-notch! While it may not have extraordinary staying power, it lasts well for about half a day after applying in the morning. What I love most is the color payoff - it's totally my style, so I'll definitely be repurchasing this multiple times! Having to sharpen it might be a bit inconvenient, but surprisingly, I don't find myself needing to do it very often! So, it doesn't really feel like a major hassle. - fr********Normal SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 26, 2024
It's great for precise application and absorbs beautifully. The color is also lovely. Since it's wooden, you need to sharpen it, which is a shame as some product gets wasted in the process. - rb********Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedNov 23, 2024
At first, I was worried that because it looks like a pencil, it might apply a bit stiffly or feel rough, but there's none of that at all. Both the color payoff and how it absorbs are great! It's not scratchy at all and feels smooth on the lips. My lip color is naturally quite deep, and the rosy shade matched perfectly with my natural lip color. It's definitely not blunt, and being a sharpened pencil type, I loved that I could precisely draw just the areas I wanted when doing the lip corners or overlining. The slightly disappointing aspect is that its staying power seems a bit weak. While this makes it good for blending out the edges when overlining, the longevity is a bit lacking. Since it's a pencil type, I also use it for under-eye shading. The rosy color looks natural when used for shading, and it's great for creating a subtle teary-eyed effect. I recommend trying it for under-eye shading as well.
