It's incredibly convenient not needing a second cleanse. Highly recommended for those who struggle with laziness. As someone with super sensitive skin, I'm using it without any issues. Why did they design the spatula storage like that? It squeezes out every time I open it, so I just tossed it. Now I'm using my hands, which feels a bit unhygienic. The price is also a bit steep. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinApr 3, 2025
The cleansing effectiveness is excellent, effectively removing even waterproof makeup. I loved that it's non-irritating and leaves almost no feeling of tightness after washing. Be careful when using it around the eyes as it can cause a tingling sensation if it gets in. While it comes with a spatula, you need to be mindful of hygiene since you have to open and close the lid frequently. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2025
At first glance, I thought it might be a bit stiff, but it has a sorbet-like texture that absorbs incredibly well. It seems to remove mascara effectively too. While I wouldn't say it's completely unnoticeable if it gets in your eyes, there's no tingling or irritation, and it doesn't cause dryness. It's surprisingly gentle, so I'm using it happily. The only downside is that there's no spatula holder, which makes it a bit inconvenient. But overall, I'm quite satisfied with the product itself. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinDec 29, 2024
My skin tends to be very dry underneath, and lately I've been dealing with a lot of dead skin cells and blemishes. I was looking for a product that could gently cleanse while removing excess oil. This cleanser's texture becomes soft upon contact with the skin, rolls on smoothly, and effectively removes sebum. Best of all, I don't experience any deep dryness after using it! The case lid is a bit tricky to open and close, and storing the spatula is inconvenient. Recommended for use every other day. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSep 16, 2024
I absolutely loved that it came with a spatula inside! The fact that it's fragrance-free made it so comfortable to use. It has a dense cleansing balm texture, but it melts effortlessly when it touches your skin. It emulsifies well and removes even stubborn makeup cleanly. I've only heard good things about Ulike products but this is my first time trying one. I think I'll be repurchasing this regularly from now on! The middle cap can only be accessed by twisting the lid, which makes it a bit awkward to store the spatula! Scoop out a generous amount and gently massage it in - it melts away beautifully! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSep 11, 2024
I used to remove my makeup with just water and cleansing foam, but since I started using this cleansing balm, I've realized that what I was doing before wasn't really cleansing at all. As someone with dry, redness-prone skin, I was worried about tightness after washing, but this doesn't leave my skin feeling tight at all. It doesn't irritate my eyes, and I love that it's fragrance-free. When I first opened the lid, I thought the solid, oil-like texture might be harsh on my skin, but it melts into a gentle cleanser without any irritation. The included spatula makes it convenient to use. The only downside is that you have to bend the spatula to secure it after scooping out the cleansing balm. It would be nice if there was a dedicated slot to hold the spatula in place. It removes even waterproof cosmetics effortlessly, and as you massage it in, you can feel it lifting away dead skin cells. I love how it leaves my skin feeling fresh and deeply cleansed. When I'm in a hurry, I use water, this cleansing balm, followed by a cleansing foam, and then spritz on some mist before applying makeup - it works wonders for makeup application! - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 11, 2024
I've been using this product daily for a week, and here's my review! This product works wonders for deep cleansing and sebum softening, regardless of skin type! As someone with oily skin, I've always relied on cleansing oils, but I often followed up with a mildly alkaline cleanser to reduce residual oiliness. Unfortunately, this led me down the path to combination dehydrated skin. With this product, I noticed a significant difference. After massaging an appropriate amount and emulsifying with water, I could feel it effectively removing makeup and even clearing out whiteheads! The key point here is that it's much less oily than typical oil-based cleansers. Even though I have extremely oily skin and usually need a double cleanse, I found I could finish with just this product or follow up with a gentle, slightly acidic cleanser for a perfect finish. Despite having super sensitive skin, I experienced no blemishes at all. I'm absolutely thrilled with this product! There's honestly nothing bad to say. If I had to nitpick, maybe it would be nice if the spatula could be attached more elegantly? I think this could be an excellent choice for those with oily skin who, like me, are used to double or triple cleansing. I'm extremely satisfied! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSep 10, 2024
1. It melts gently with your body temperature, effectively removing color makeup like mascara and foundation without irritation. 2. After emulsifying with water and rinsing well, it washes off smoothly, leaving skin hydrated without any tightness. (Depending on your skin type, you might not even need a second cleanse... I did it out of habit, but after rinsing, I thought, 'Hmm, I probably could've skipped it!') 3. The scent is very subtle... you could almost say it's fragrance-free! 4. As you can see in the usage photo, it completely removes mascara and foundation, leaving only a slight tint from lip stains. There was no irritation during the cleansing process, and my eyes didn't sting at all when I actually washed my face. While having a spatula is nice, storing it is a bit tricky... Instead of the current curved spoon shape, a flat stick-like shape would be better. It would be even more convenient if there was a groove inside the lid to insert it. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinSep 9, 2024
[Date Received] September 3, 2024 [Usage Period] September 3, 2024 - September 9, 2024 [Skin Type] Oily, Very Thick Positive Points I've always had issues with excess sebum, so I've been consistently using cleansing oils. At some point, a new form called cleansing balm appeared on the market, and I was curious about it. Fortunately, I was selected as one of The Hwahae Testers. I started using the product on the day I received it. To maximize its effectiveness, I first used a sebum softener before applying UIIK's cleansing balm. 1. It doesn't run This is an inherent advantage of the cleansing balm format. With cleansing oils, I often found that they would run down my arms while washing my face. Of course, this could be due to the angle of my arms or something I'm doing wrong, but I believe it's an advantage if a product can compensate for my shortcomings. 2. It's not heavy This is something I didn't realize when using cleansing oils. After trying the cleansing balm, I realized that oil formulations are actually heavier than I thought. The balm can be used lightly and daily without any issues. Because it's lighter than oil, I plan to switch to balm formulations after I finish using up all my oils. 3. Decent cleansing effectiveness Honestly, I'm not sure if it's better than cleansing oils. However, its cleansing power isn't inferior to cleansing oils either. So while I can't say it's exceptionally good, it does have a satisfactory cleansing effectiveness. Room for Improvement The jar packaging is a bit inconvenient. While I can tolerate the jar format, it would be nice if there was at least a space inside the lid to place a spatula. It's a bit difficult to manage. Recently, I've seen cleansing balms that you can shave off or squeeze out being released. I think it would be better if they redesigned the container. My Personal Usage Method 1. Use a sebum softener 2. Apply the Biome Barrier Collagen Firming Cleansing Balm 3. Massage with hands, then use a brush with lukewarm water - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinSep 7, 2024
I tried a cleansing balm for the first time. Previously, I used to do a double cleanse - first with an oil cleanser, then with a foam cleanser to remove any leftover makeup residue. The Hwahae Testers will love that no double cleansing is needed! It's effective enough to remove light makeup, color cosmetics, and even waterproof mascara. I'm thrilled that I don't have to go through the hassle of using an oil cleanser followed by a foam cleanser anymore. The gentle formula works hard for sensitive skin. As someone with super sensitive skin that often feels irritated even when using oil cleansers, I was pleasantly surprised. The balm texture melts softly with body heat, allowing for a non-irritating cleansing experience. Despite its impressive cleansing effectiveness, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, itchy, or dry afterwards. This makes it suitable for those with dry skin and likely a great option for all skin types. This was my first time trying a cleansing balm, and I was amazed by its performance. With its combination of cleansing power and gentle feel, I highly recommend this product! The double lid can be slightly inconvenient to open and close, but don't throw it away! You can use it to store the spatula.
