It absorbs well and is great for calming the skin. I'll probably buy it again. The lid doesn't close with a satisfying click, which is a bit disappointing. - ja********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 8, 2025
It's not just a simple water toner, but has a more serum-like consistency, which was fantastic for hydration! The best part is that it's neither greasy nor sticky. While suitable for all skin types, I think those with dry skin will be especially satisfied! Personally, I loved the fragrance too! There was no dryness or stickiness, and my blemishes actually seemed to improve! Just layering this toner 2-3 times provides enough hydration, which has really shortened my skincare routine! - hz********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedFeb 26, 2025
It absorbs quickly, and when I used it together with my cream, I felt like the small blemishes started to subside. The scent wasn't to my liking. And above all, the price is quite steep. - ks*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinFeb 20, 2025
If you have oily skin with visible pores, this might be a good option for you. It gives a feeling of lightly balancing the skin. However, after using this, I developed skin irritation in several areas. While the Tone 28 brand has an image of being eco-friendly and gentle, it seems it doesn't agree with my skin. Especially around my mouth, it became red and itchy. It also left my skin feeling extremely dry, almost as if I hadn't applied anything at all. Even when used with toner and cream, it made my skin feel so tight that fine lines appeared. The scent is overwhelmingly strong, which is really challenging to deal with. If someone near me applies it, it's like having herbs stuffed up my nose, and when I use it myself, it gives me a headache. I have to wait for the fragrance to dissipate quickly. Also, I can't understand why the cap gets so white and dirty, as if toner has spilled all over it. I'm still unsure about this product. - mi*******Normal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 18, 2025
This toner has a thin, translucent, water-like consistency. It absorbs well, and I feel like it's really effective at calming my blemishes and uneven skin texture. It's absolutely fantastic! For those with dry skin, you'll probably need to layer it multiple times to avoid feeling any dryness. Also, when you first open the cap, there's a strong centella asiatica scent that might be hit or miss for some people. Highly recommended for combination skin! - co*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedMar 24, 2024
Absorbs: It glides on incredibly smoothly with a nourishing feel. Applies effortlessly. Absorption: It absorbs well into the skin. Hydration: Despite its lightweight texture, it feels deeply nourishing. You can sense the moisturizing effect both during and after application. It provides excellent hydration. I appreciate that it's fragrance-free and comes in a generous size. Honestly, I can't think of any downsides while using this product. There are none. Instead of dispensing it onto my hands, I apply it directly to my face. It seems to spread more efficiently this way, using less product. - da******Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJan 28, 2024
High centella content provides excellent soothing, resulting in a more even complexion. Suitable for sensitive skin without causing blemishes. The dark container likely prevents ingredient degradation. It's my favorite toner among the Tone 28 line! On days with low humidity, using this alone might not be enough to combat dryness. You'll need to follow up with an essence or cream right away. Discounts are rare. While it's a non-viscous toner, it doesn't pair well with exfoliating toners. Applying it twice immediately after cleansing provides ample hydration. Using products from the same line can lead to noticeable skin improvements. - kw*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedOct 17, 2023
My skin type: Sensitive (thin skin), combination dehydrated skin I bought this product because I trust the values of the Tone28 brand. As someone who cares deeply about the environment, I was impressed by everything from their eco-friendly packaging to their own organic centella asiatica fields. The toner's texture is on the thinner side, but it's not quite watery - it has a slight viscosity. It feels like an ampoule toner (a bit more substantial than the Witch's Pouch Bifida Biome Ampoule Toner!). Two layers were enough to provide ample hydration, which I loved. It was especially nice for moisturizing my dry neck area too. For the neck, this product paired with a moderately rich cream is just perfect. You can really feel the abundance of centella asiatica while applying. I've used several centella-infused products before, but this one truly made me understand the scent of centella! It's like the aroma of damp grass after rain... Not quite mugwort, but a scent that evokes a lush green landscape. The fragrance lingers quite a while after application, so it's definitely something to consider before purchasing! Since it's not easy to test this product offline, I've tried to describe the scent as specifically as possible. The strong fragrance is likely a testament to its high centella content. However, if you prefer unscented products, you might have mixed feelings about the scent. To cut to the chase, it didn't work well for my skin... I tried this product when my skin was in a stable condition. Given my thin and sensitive skin, starting with calm skin is essential when trying new products! I used it morning and night, applying two thin layers each time. There was a slight tingling sensation right after application, but with no immediate major issues, I continued using it for about two weeks. While there were no significant problems, I noticed small blemishes appearing from the first few days, and my skin felt more sensitive overall. These skin issues might not be noticeable from afar, but they were apparent to me. While there can be many causes for skin troubles beyond skincare, considering my skin was relatively stable with my previous routine, I concluded this product wasn't suitable for me. After discontinuing use and returning to my previous products, my skin recovered. It seems my particularly thin and sensitive skin just didn't agree with this product. I stopped using it and gave the toner to my mom, who had been eyeing it. She loves it and uses it well. It's a product that offers both soothing and firming benefits while being quite hydrating, so it seems to be very satisfying for her. Once again, I was reminded how personal basic skincare products can be! I'm personally disappointed because I really appreciate Tone28's brand values and direction, and I wanted to settle on their basic skincare line. To make up for it, I plan to gradually try their other products like shampoo bars and lip balms!
