  My skin tends to dry out and flake quickly when I apply makeup, so I decided to buy a primer! Since I have dry skin, I was looking for a non-drying primer and discovered this product from Code Glokolor. The formula is incredibly hydrating, so I was confident it wouldn't dry out my skin. I'm not sure how well it covers pores, but I believe in its effectiveness and use it every time I apply makeup!

  Pros

  Just by applying it before makeup, my skin texture became plump and refined, and my foundation adhered much better. There's no stickiness, only a moisturized feel, so it's not burdensome even in summer. It absorbs well into combination dehydrated skin, creating a smooth base without any patchiness.

  Cons

  I haven't used it for long, so I'm not sure about the downsides. The stick applicator might be a bit inconvenient?

  I bought the moisturizing type because this winter has been exceptionally dry. It's definitely hydrating, and my makeup doesn't break down as quickly, which is great.

  For a primer, the ingredients are incredibly gentle! The scent reminds me of aloe gel I used before. Perhaps that's why it feels like it hydrates the skin more and helps makeup adhere better.

  Cons

  It's quite weak when it comes to covering pores! So rather than feeling like I'm applying a primer, I use it thinking of it as a glue that helps makeup stick well. That's probably why it has 'Hydro' in the name! Also, it doesn't completely prevent makeup from separating. I noticed it still separates in some areas.

  I've always needed a primer, but I had given up on them for a long time because they were too drying and caused blemishes, probably due to the silicone ingredients. However, I bought this one because it's silicone-free and moisturizing. While it's not the ultimate pore eraser, it's hydrating enough to prevent makeup from separating on my nose and T-zone, and it keeps my skin moisturized for a long time. I'm quite satisfied with it.

  Don't expect this to be like a silicone primer that completely hides your pores. There's a slight watermelon scent mentioned in the reviews, which isn't too bothersome, but it could do without it. The glass container makes it a bit heavy, so it's not very portable.

  When my skin gets dry during seasonal changes and makeup doesn't sit well, I apply a little bit of this, let it absorb fully, and then apply makeup. It makes the makeup adhere so much better!

  I use this primer before makeup, and it's the first time I've found one that provides so much hydration. I use it daily! It truly feels like it's filling your skin with moisture from the foundation up! It even blocks out all the dryness in winter... It's a holy grail product!

  Cons

  For my combination skin that leans towards dry, it doesn't lock in moisture for very long! However, among primers, I think it's the best, and I'll probably stick with this one.
