My skin tends to dry out and flake quickly when I apply makeup, so I decided to buy a primer! Since I have dry skin, I was looking for a non-drying primer and discovered this product from Code Glokolor. The formula is incredibly hydrating, so I was confident it wouldn't dry out my skin. I'm not sure how well it covers pores, but I believe in its effectiveness and use it every time I apply makeup! Because the formula is so hydrating, I'm not certain how well it actually covers pores. The product seems to work hard at maintaining hydration, which is crucial for those with dry skin. It might be a great option for those looking to even their skin tone and create a smooth base for makeup application. While its pore-covering abilities are uncertain, its moisturizing properties appear to be its strong suit, potentially helping to balance oil and moisture levels in the skin. - an*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 21, 2025
Just by applying it before makeup, my skin texture became plump and refined, and my foundation adhered much better. There's no stickiness, only a moisturized feel, so it's not burdensome even in summer. It absorbs well into combination dehydrated skin, creating a smooth base without any patchiness. I haven't used it for long, so I'm not sure about the downsides. The stick applicator might be a bit inconvenient? - pg*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 19, 2025
The gel-like formula allows you to apply it evenly across your entire face, resulting in a radiant and supple finish. The makeup adheres seamlessly, making it a truly impressive product. The amount is also quite generous. The product is packaged in a glass bottle, making it inconvenient to carry around. - zi*****Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 5, 2025
It really helps prevent makeup from separating! Highly recommended for those who struggle with makeup not staying put. Unfortunately, it falls short on covering uneven skin texture.. I didn't see any significant improvement in that area. Apply after your skincare routine for best results! - ss******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 4, 2025
This stuff is seriously amazing! My makeup goes on so smoothly now. I used to have issues with my makeup not adhering well, but since I started using this, it stays put perfectly. If you don't apply it correctly or use too much, your makeup might pill. - zh***Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 2, 2025
I absolutely love this product that I always use. I highly recommend it - you must try it! There wasn't really anything disappointing about it. The only minor issue might be that it occasionally goes out of stock when trying to purchase. - se********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 20, 2025
My skin condition suddenly took a turn for the worse, and lately my makeup hasn't been sitting well. So I started looking for products that play nice with makeup, and this one had the most positive reviews. I bought it, and while the primer is good, I think the primer stick that came with it is even better! I've always been self-conscious about my deep smile lines, where cushion foundation would always crease when I smiled. But now, I just glide the stick about 10 times over those areas, gently pat it in, and it fills them in perfectly. These days I don't even worry about my foundation creasing when I smile - it's amazing! The ad claimed it would help with deep dryness, but I didn't really notice that effect. However, it does provide a lot of hydration, so it definitely helps the makeup apply better than not using anything at all! Since it works so well on my smile lines, I highly recommend it to anyone looking to cover up their pores too! You absolutely must buy this! The results are incredible for the price. - th*****Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRednessRecommendedMar 6, 2025
First off, this product is so under-promoted that I want to keep it as my little secret! Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin / Guaranteed blemishes before menstruation / Partially dry / Oily T-zone Especially in winter, no matter how thorough my skincare routine, my dry areas (butterfly zone, temples, forehead) would always end up feeling parched as time passed. While searching for a primer, I heard about the new glow primers and stumbled upon this gem. This brand used to be a staple in Olive Young stores, but with the influx of new brands, many locations no longer carry it. (It seems online sales are becoming their main focus.) Luckily, I found a tester at a nearby store, tried it out, and decided to purchase. ✅ A must-buy for combination dehydrated and partially dry skin types ✅ Apply only to dry areas ✅ Post-makeup, it gives a natural glow, and most importantly, it doesn't separate over time The scent is not bad. It's just your typical cosmetic smell. The product's effectiveness isn't matched by its promotion. This is the ultimate primer for dry and combination dehydrated skin types. You can snag it for around 14,000 won when it's on sale at Olive Young. I'll definitely be repurchasing this when I run out! - hw*********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 28, 2025
I have combination dehydrated and super sensitive skin! You know how flight attendants always have that dewy, radiant complexion even in the dry airplane cabin? Recently, maybe due to the season, my skin's been feeling more dehydrated, and my base makeup's been looking patchy - not a good look for my already troubled skin texture! So I went hunting for the flight attendants' secret and found this holy grail product! KODE Hydro Primer is said to smooth out dead skin cells, preventing makeup from pilling and improving skin texture. How could I not buy it? I grabbed it right away, and here's my honest review! First off, it comes in a slightly weighty glass bottle, so it might not be the most travel-friendly. As for the scent, it's nearly fragrance-free - shouldn't be an issue for anyone! The texture feels like a soothing gel, similar to hand sanitizer, with a moisturizing feel. When I first applied it, I thought it felt too light, but then I put on my cushion foundation and concealer... and oh my goodness, what a game-changer! I use a pretty standard cushion, but it adhered so incredibly well, I was shocked. It melted into my skin seamlessly, like it was made for me. Even when I layered concealer on top, my skin just looked flawless. I realized why flight attendants swear by this. If you struggle with excess dead skin cells, patchy makeup, or just want to improve your overall skin texture, I can't recommend this enough. Everyone needs to try this! And it's just in the $10-20 range? I'm in love with KODE. I'll be repurchasing this 50000000% for sure! Since I have sensitive skin, I did experience a slight tingling sensation. For the T-zone, butterfly zone, and under the chin, gently pat and press with a puff for a smoother application. - kv*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedFeb 11, 2025
I bought the moisturizing type because this winter has been exceptionally dry. It's definitely hydrating, and my makeup doesn't break down as quickly, which is great. While it's a moisturizing type, a primer is still just a primer. There's still a bit of dryness, but my makeup lasts longer and applies well.
