It's heartbreaking! While I checked 4 stars, I'd say it's more like 3.5-4 stars. First off, my skin is atopic/dry and occasionally prone to blemishes. Lately, I haven't been getting many blemishes, but I do have some lingering marks. The texture has a slight weight to it, but it's surprisingly light. As you can see in the second photo, it flows easily! But it feels dense, if that makes sense? Because of this, there was still a bit of richness left after cleansing. This could be a plus for those with dry skin like mine, as it doesn't feel super dry after removing! However, if you have oily skin or dislike any residue, you might want to follow up with a cleansing foam or gel. It emulsifies well, but when you're emulsifying, it feels like the oil is kind of swirling on the surface? This made me feel like it wasn't cleansing thoroughly. But actually, the cleansing effectiveness was pretty good! Maybe it was just my imagination... As shown in the third photo, I applied a bunch of makeup and left it for about 15 minutes -> Then I massaged with the oil for 1 minute, and didn't use much force when emulsifying. As you can see in the fourth photo, everything except the eyeliner and mascara came off nicely. I also liked that it's affordable!
ConsI'm not sure about its effectiveness in removing blackheads and whiteheads. I can't really tell if it has any brightening effects either. One of the ingredients is a bit disappointing... There are also 3 ingredients that may cause allergic reactions.
TipThe makeup products used in the third photo are: 1. The Saem Triple Pot Concealer 01 Correct Beige 2. Innisfree Flat Eyebrow Pencil #5 3. Red Cookie Big Eye Matte Eyeliner 02 Black Brown 4. So, I decided to try this product through The Hwahae Testers to see if it could help. First off, I was impressed by the claims: 122% effectiveness in removing blackheads and whiteheads, and a whopping 125% sebum removal rate from pores! These stats really got me excited about the potential results. I started using it right before my period when my face was breaking out and my blackheads and sebum were at their worst. Perfect timing to put it to the test! The results were amazing. Not only did it tackle blackheads, but the whiteheads around my nose wings practically vanished. While the blackheads on the nose tip were a bit trickier to roll over, the difference in whiteheads was visible at a glance. I also noticed that my blemishes started shrinking and gradually disappearing. During the emulsification process, I could actually see sebum being drawn out as I massaged my skin. If you're struggling with excess sebum, whiteheads, or blackheads, I highly recommend this product. It really works hard! For those with super sensitive skin who might be concerned, this product boasts an EWG green grade and is made with 93% naturally-derived ingredients, so you can cleanse with peace of mind. Beyond just tackling sebum, it also claims to brighten the skin. With consistent use, it might help achieve that clear, radiant complexion. However, I personally didn't notice much brightening effect, but results may vary from person to person. The feel of the product is refreshing, and it doesn't leave any residue. You won't have to worry about that overly slick feeling that some cleansing oils can leave behind. Also, it emulsifies instantly upon contact with water, which seems to help dissolve sebum effectively. These are the main highlights from my experience!
ConsHere are a couple of downsides I noticed: 1. Scent: It has a very strong lemon oil fragrance. If you're sensitive to scents, this might be a bit overwhelming. However, I personally enjoyed it as it made me feel like I was getting a facial massage. 2. Brightening effect: The brightening results were minimal, at least in my experience.
TipFor best results, I'd recommend applying a generous amount of oil all over your face first. Then, use lukewarm water to do an initial overall massage. Follow up with a second, more focused massage on problem areas. This two-step approach should help you achieve even more effective removal!

It's gentle yet effective at removing even heavy makeup. The way it emulsifies is fantastic too. The safety pin-like double lock makes it super convenient for travel - just pop it in a ziplock bag and you're good to go! The scent is pleasant as well. While I'm not sure about its blackhead-removing prowess, it seems to prevent new ones from forming.
ConsI'm not really seeing the brightening effects I was hoping for... Also, the amount dispensed per pump is quite small, so you need to press it multiple times to get enough product.
TipMake sure to emulsify it well!

Rather than feeling like it glides on smoothly like water, it gives more of a rich, slightly tacky cleansing sensation! As expected from a cleansing oil, its cleansing effectiveness is great. I've always disliked how my eyes would get cloudy or feel irritated after using oils, but this product has improved on that aspect, which I really appreciate. It emulsifies instantly upon contact with water, making it feel more refreshing after rinsing compared to other oils. The scent has a slight hint of lemon, but it's so subtle that it's almost unnoticeable. I think it's much better than an artificial oil fragrance. I have combination skin, and sometimes cleansing oils can cause blemishes in my oily areas, but this product hasn't done that so far. It seems to be quite gentle on the skin.
ConsThere's not really anything to complain about, but contrary to the product description claiming it has brightening effects, I found these effects to be minimal or barely noticeable. Other than that, it's a solid product that faithfully fulfills its role as a cleansing oil.
TipSince the product is quite rich, if you gently massage it for 2-3 minutes after emulsifying, adding a bit of water as you go, you can feel blackheads and impurities being drawn out. Unlike other oils, it causes less eye irritation, so you can use your fingers to thoroughly remove eye makeup without worry!

While I don't have many blemishes now, I struggled with acne for years. Ingredients are crucial to me. Even now, if something doesn't suit my skin, I'll get a few blemishes. So I can tell right away if a product doesn't work for me. - Ingredients Tony Moly's Green Tea Lemon Cleansing Oil didn't cause any breakouts! To be honest, this was my first time using a cleansing oil... I was worried before using it, but it didn't irritate my skin at all. I trusted its gentle, skin-friendly formula. - Hydration It's definitely more hydrating than other cleansing products. There was no tightness after use! - Cleansing I usually use cleansing milk, which doesn't remove mascara well. But this product, being an oil, removes makeup effectively! - Scent While not amazing, the scent isn't likely to be polarizing. It doesn't bother me at all.
ConsI'm satisfied just because it didn't irritate my skin, so I don't have any complaints. If I had to pick something... it doesn't seem to help much with brightening. Maybe it's because I have naturally darker skin? Still, I'm satisfied.
TipFor areas around the nose with lots of blackheads and whiteheads, gently massage for about a minute. It should help make your nose smooth! Remember to be extra gentle when cleansing around the eyes, okay?

So if you've tried that one and are looking to switch, this could be a great option! The scent has a slight lemony fragrance, but nothing off-putting. It cleanses really well - one application is enough to remove most makeup, even stubborn mascara. The ingredients are pretty gentle, so even with my acne-prone skin, I didn't experience any blemishes. It might be suitable for those with acne-prone skin too. I found that when I spent extra time massaging it around my nose area to target blackheads, they seemed to diminish a bit!
ConsThe product description claimed it would have a brightening effect after just one use, but I didn't really notice that. Other than that, I can't think of any major downsides. It's a decent, no-frills product that gets the job done.
TipFor those looking to tackle blackheads, try massaging the oil on your nose area for a longer time before adding any water (though I wouldn't recommend this for those with sensitive skin as the prolonged rubbing might cause irritation). Then, add just a tiny bit of water to emulsify the oil and continue massaging your nose area. Don't rinse it off with lots of water right away! This method is said to be more effective for removing blackheads.
