It really, really feels like washing the scalp.
ConsAfter using it, my hair feels stiff. It can be resolved with a treatment that I apply.

ConsIt's really inconvenient to apply to the scalp. Even with a lot of water, it doesn't lather well, so I end up using more product. Not great value for money.
TipYou need to keep adding water while applying it to the scalp to get it to lather a bit.

It leaves your skin feeling squeaky clean, which is so satisfying! Oh, and the fragrance is seriously identical to Jo Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt scent!
ConsPersonally, I'm not a fan of the scent, so I deducted one star. However, it works wonders for oily scalps. I think it'll be perfect for summer use.
TipPro tip: Use this after shampooing for an extra refreshing feel and to prevent your hair from getting weighed down!

Fragrance: The scent is subtle, preventing headaches and providing a healing sensation while scalp scaling - it's a bonus! 2. Cleansing power & Dead skin cell management: - As it's meant for scalp scaling, you can feel the granules, which give a refreshing sensation when massaging - The excellent cleansing power makes your scalp feel clean, but it can leave hair feeling stiff, so using a treatment or conditioner is necessary - Seems suitable for oily/combination scalps
Cons1. Price: It's a bit expensive for the amount you get 2. Lather: - It doesn't produce an abundance of foam when used as a shampoo replacement - You need to use a generous amount to get a good lather - For oily hair, you might need to use quite a bit of product 3. Ingredients: - Contains some potentially allergenic components, so check the ingredient list if you're sensitive to fragrances or other uncommon ingredients
Tip• Soak your scalp in lukewarm water for at least 3 minutes to soften the skin • Squeeze out an appropriate amount of scalp scaler, lather it up in your hands, and apply close to the scalp • Gently massage with your fingertips (not nails) or use a gua sha tool on your temples and any itchy areas - Be extremely gentle! The scalp is skin and can be injured if you're too rough • Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water for at least 3 minutes • Pay extra attention to rinsing the area where your hair meets your neck, as foam tends to accumulate there Remember, even the best scalp products can cause blemishes if not rinsed off properly due to residual detergents! • Finally, please dry your scalp thoroughly Excess moisture on the scalp creates an ideal environment for bacterial growth Use cool air to dry it completely! This concludes the scalp care routine from someone who overcame seborrheic dermatitis! Properly rinsing shampoo and thoroughly drying your scalp can significantly improve scalp conditions!

If you have oily hair or are concerned about your scalp, it's great to use occasionally.
ConsYou need to squeeze the bottle quite hard to get the product out. If you have long hair, you'll need a lot, which means really putting some muscle into squeezing it out...!
TipDon't forget to use a conditioner!

I had blemishes popping up all over my scalp, but after using this scalp scaler, they disappeared by the next day!! I guess they were caused by impurities and dead skin cells... The salt granules felt so refreshing as I massaged them in, and my scalp still felt cool even after washing my hair! The scent is like herbs or medicinal plants... It reminds me of that traditional herbal aroma you'd smell in a Thai massage shop! I love how comforting and soothing the fragrance is!
ConsThe downside is that the price can be a bit steep if you buy it without a discount... You need to use quite a bit each time, so it runs out quickly, which is a shame!

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsIt leaves my scalp feeling refreshed! It's pleasantly grainy yet gentle at the same time. The scent reminds me of those toy cosmetics from childhood - a subtle, department store-like fragrance.
ConsIt's definitely less convenient to use than liquid scalp scalers. Unlike liquid products that you can just spray on, you have to manually massage this in, which might be challenging for those who struggle with consistency. Also, the price is quite high and a bit ambiguous, which is slightly disappointing.
TipGrowus offers a trial kit on their official store. It's not just shipping costs - you can get a shampoo, treatment, and scalp scaler for 5,000 won (plus shipping). It's a more affordable way to try the products before committing to full-size versions. I recommend testing it out this way before purchasing the full-size products.

The small granules provide effective exfoliation without irritation, making it suitable for sensitive scalps.
ConsDisadvantages: - Minimal lather: Although it's meant to be used as a shampoo, it doesn't produce as much foam as expected. You can get some lather with a larger amount, but it's not particularly rich or creamy. - Limited oil control: As a scrub product, it seems more focused on dead skin cell removal than oil control. While this might suffice for dry scalps, those with oily scalps may find the cleansing power a bit lacking for thorough oil removal.
TipTip: For those with oily scalps, it's best to use this product after your regular shampoo for an extra cleansing boost, rather than as a shampoo replacement. This approach ensures more effective oil removal and leaves your scalp feeling fresh and clean.

It has an authentic, slightly pungent aroma of real flowers. It's not a typical floral fragrance, but a true fresh flower scent. If you enjoy the smell of fresh blooms, you might find the fragrance very satisfying. It also produces a rich lather.
ConsThe scrub particles are so sparse, you'll wonder if it's even meant for scalp exfoliation. There's hardly any scrub in it at all. The texture is also too dry to use for a proper scalp massage on its own, and it doesn't dissolve well even when it comes into contact with water.

Dead skin cell removal I noticed one day that my scalp had excessive dead skin cells, so I decided to try this. Using it 1-2 times a week, I saw a significant reduction in flakes. Now I use it about once every two weeks. 2. Fragrance The scent is really pleasant.
ConsI'm a bit concerned about scrub particles remaining, so I rinse for quite a while...
TipIf your hair tends to get very oily, try using a regular shampoo for a quick wash before applying this product
