While I'm not a fan of the scent of the original Cicaterol cream, this one feels like an improved version with a better fragrance.
ConsOh Beplain, why are you doing this to me? You're my favorite brand! I finished my Chamomile cream and ordered more, then tried the Capsule Barrier cream sample that came with it. My face started itching, and within two days, blemishes appeared all over. As someone who used to love the Cicaterol cream, I thought this new product would be similar and tried it without hesitation. But after applying the Capsule Barrier sample, I was itching so badly at night I thought I'd die... When I went back to using the original Cicaterol cream, my deteriorating skin condition stabilized. It seems the Capsule Barrier just doesn't work for me. Guess the old saying is true - if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

When I applied it before bed, I noticed the next morning after washing my face that my skin felt noticeably softer compared to other creams. It seems to maintain the skin barrier and moisture well. I think those with dry skin would really appreciate this. The texture is similar to ceramide-type creams, and I felt it helped strengthen the skin barrier too.
ConsThe more you spread it, the oilier it becomes and increases shine. It causes some eye irritation. Perhaps because I used it during the dry winter, it pilled like dead skin and caused itchiness in patches with some clogged pores. I started getting acne near my nose, and gradually more invisible bumps appeared. It might be better for applying on the neck or on drier areas like hands, but at this price point, I'd rather buy a different product.

This works great as a winter night cream! I had put it aside after seeing reviews saying it was too rich, but now that I'm using it, it's perfect! My skin isn't dry at all in the morning! Maybe it's because I'm using it in this weather, but I don't find it overly rich. It feels more moisturizing than a regular hydrating cream, but not excessively so. It does feel a bit slippery on the hands. When I wash my face in the morning after applying this at night, my skin feels so soft! I've been really satisfied with it lately. It leaves a dewy finish, but when applying, it has a sorbet or primer-like texture that's a bit thick.
ConsIt might be difficult to use for oily or combination dehydrated skin types outside of winter nights. Some days, if I leave it on for too long, I experience a subtle itching sensation. This usually goes away if I wash it off right away in the morning. Since it comes in a jar, it's not the most hygienic to use. I wish it came in a tube format.
TipI recommend this as a night cream for the current dry weather conditions.

It's like pudding, you know? At first, I thought it was a balm type, but when I touched it, it felt like pudding, which was so intriguing. But here's the real magic - it makes your face feel as plump and bouncy as pudding too! My skin had been so dry lately that I was layering creams two or three times and still feeling parched. I was getting frustrated, but as soon as I tried this, my skin became instantly calm and happy. I absolutely love it! I'm not a fan of greasy products, so I needed something hydrating without the oil. This works like a charm, transforming my face into pudding without any greasiness at all!
ConsEverything's great, but for some reason, it makes me a bit itchy. So I've had to pause using it for now... I wonder why...
TipIt works wonders when applied to extremely dry skin. Also, since it's not greasy, it makes an excellent base for makeup!

Maybe it applies smoothly? Might be good for dry skin?
ConsIt's too oily. After application, it leaves a greasy shine. It doesn't help with blemishes at all; instead, it makes my skin itchy and acne worse. The yellowish beige color seems to make my complexion look dull after applying.
TipIf you're the type who gets blemishes from using oily products, you'd better try something else...

This product has absolutely no typical cosmetic scent, to the point where it feels truly fragrance-free. It absorbs incredibly smoothly, and while it contains tiny particles, they're barely noticeable and dissolve well. I found its hydrating power to be substantial, comparable even to my usual high-moisture creams! As you may know, B.plain is a brand known for clean cosmetics, so I checked the ingredients and sure enough, they were impressive! After applying this product, even with my super sensitive skin, I didn't experience any major adverse reactions.
ConsFirst off, it's way too rich in oils. While it locks in moisture well, it fails to control excess oil. Perhaps due to its oiliness, my face felt slightly itchy at times. I also noticed some red spots appearing, and if I applied too much, the excess oil would clog my pores, leading to a few closed comedones. For my extremely dry skin, it still felt a bit dry the next morning. To be fair, using a small amount of the cream might not result in excessive oiliness, but with my very dry skin, a light application dries out quickly. I think I ended up with an oil overload because I applied it generously, so it's probably best for everyone to adjust the amount based on their individual skin type.
TipThe rich texture made it great for a gua sha massage before bed! Also, thanks to its good hydrating properties, I occasionally used it on dry areas of my body instead of body emulsion! I didn't experience any blemishes on my body despite the high oil content.

I'm very picky about products with gentle ingredients, and I'm pleased to say this one didn't cause any blemishes. My skin usually reacts immediately with itching if something doesn't suit me, but not with this! First off, the ingredients get a pass. As for the texture, I've been wary of thick formulas since my skin troubles, but this one spreads easily and smoothly. Being a cream, it doesn't absorb lightning-fast, but it's decent enough. After application, my skin feels soft and hydrated, like there's a protective layer. Update after a few months: I was selected as a Hwahae Tester, used up a whole tube, and loved it so much I bought it again personally. I've been using the ampoule too! It moisturizes well for sensitive skin, but to avoid dryness, I recommend using toner and serum before the cream. Applying just the cream on bare skin can be a bit drying. Occasionally, when my arms and legs get itchy from dryness, I apply emulsion followed by this cream, and it really helps calm things down.
ConsI don't have any particular complaints. There was one time when my skin was slightly red and irritated, and it felt a bit tingly when I applied it. Given my super sensitive skin prone to contact dermatitis, I've found it's best to minimize product use when my skin is acting up.

The color and visible capsules were quite intriguing. Initially, I applied my usual amount without thinking, but it felt a bit heavy or suffocating. So in the evening, I used slightly less, and even a small amount provided ample hydration. In my opinion, this might be better suited for the depths of winter (December or January) rather than the current season (November).
ConsAfter some time, I experienced slight itching, so I checked the ingredients list and found shea butter. If you're sensitive to shea butter like me, please be cautious when using this product.

However... I may have set my expectations too high. The color is a bit off-putting, with an unusual yellowish-green tint. It's quite different from other cica creams I've tried, like the Dr. Jart one that comes in a tube - I guess I forgot what cica cream typically looks like! On the plus side, it's fragrance-free, so it's not irritating at all! It just has that typical cica... scent? The texture is nice - it melts as you apply it, so it absorbs well into the skin!
ConsI'm not sure if it's really moisturizing or soothing. It feels a bit oily, so it might not be suitable for those with oily skin. As someone with atopic and sensitive skin, I experienced intense itching after applying this. There must be an ingredient that doesn't agree with me... It's strange because I was fine with the Dr. Jart cica cream. The itching was so bad I had to use a steroid ointment. I'm not sure which ingredient caused it, but I definitely can't recommend this for those with super sensitive skin. Personally, I'd give it 1 star, but my sister tried it and said it was fine for her. Since it might just be my skin that's the issue, I'm giving it 3 stars to avoid unfairly low ratings. Also, the spatula comes inside the box, which isn't great. It gets dusty between the box folds, making it difficult to store and somewhat unhygienic upon delivery. However, you can clean it with alcohol before use.
TipUm... there's nothing else to add. Not that there was something and now there isn't - there's just nothing more to say.
