The darkening is too severe (especially shade 2). It becomes about 2 shades darker than when first applied. When I first applied it, shade 2 seemed to suit me well, but as time passed, it became too reddish and dark, so I purchased shade 1.5 (shade 1.5 also has severe darkening). Since it is a night-type product, it is also difficult to control the amount, and for skin that requires a lot of coverage, it tends to become too thick when applied, causing it to crumble more easily.
