As someone with extremely dry lips and severe flaking, I absolutely can't wear matte lip products. I've tried other lip balm-type products, but this melting balm is in a league of its own. It's truly amazing. No flaking or dead skin cells showing... and no heavy feeling either. It works hard for your lips! It transfers and fades quickly. Since it doesn't have much staining power, you need to reapply once it wears off.
