This seems like a lip balm that has melted. I keep it in a small, earbud-like pouch, but the outside has become sticky with oil. When I scratch the lid with my fingernail, a plastic-like material peels off. It's not really that great and doesn't absorb well.

It's really so moisturizing. Even in the summer when my lips usually crack, this makes them settle down. And since it's a twist-up type, it's more hygienic than other stick-type lip balms!
