  Pros

  I started using this because my skin was dry, and it's been great! It's less drying than other products, and it lathers up really well.

  Cons

  For a soap, it doesn't make my hair as stiff as others, but it still leaves it somewhat rigid. You'll definitely need to use a conditioner after.

  I usually have medium-length hair, and I've been using this shampoo bar with satisfaction for about 4 years. It produces just the right amount of lather, has a subtle fragrance, and despite being in bar form, it doesn't leave my hair feeling stiff. I love that it doesn't require a plastic container and is more compact than regular shampoos. One bar typically lasts me about 6 months. You could cut it in half to make it last even longer, but I find it more convenient to use it whole.

  Cons

  As the bar gets smaller with prolonged use, it becomes a bit challenging to work up a good lather. At that point, I sometimes use a foaming net, which helps but can be a bit inconvenient. It would be great if they offered a smaller travel-sized version as well.

  Tip

  This works really well when paired with Donggubat's conditioner. I occasionally use coffee for scalp and hair care, and when I combine these products, my hair feels thicker and healthier.

  To be honest, I bought this more for its vegan and eco-friendly qualities rather than for hair texture or cleansing. Even after not washing my hair for a few days, I can work up a good lather just by rubbing it on my greasy hair. When rinsing, it feels squeaky clean like a freshly washed dish, but surprisingly, my hair doesn't feel rough after drying.   I really like this! I used to use the Tone 2 Baobab shampoo bar, but this one has a more refreshing scent and leaves my hair feeling even cleaner. It lathers up well just by rubbing it on my hair. Plus, it doesn't leave my hair feeling like straw. I just keep it in a soap dish, and it doesn't get mushy at all.

  I've tried many shampoo bars to practice zero waste, and this one was among the more affordable options, so I've purchased it frequently. The scent is subtle and not overpowering, which I personally prefer as it disappears after drying my hair. It's also great for keeping the bathroom tidy since it doesn't take up much space.   Honestly, if I were to rate the product alone, I'd give it 3 or 2.5 stars, but considering the limitations or characteristics of shampoo bars, I'm settling on 4 stars. While washing, it doesn't feel too stiff (though it's stiffer than regular shampoo, of course!). However, when rinsing, it feels extremely stiff, and especially when drying, my hair becomes so rigid it's hard to brush. It might be tolerable for short hair, but as someone with long hair, it was really uncomfortable every time I dried my hair. Also, for longer hair, it wears down quickly. Although I used this shampoo bar for environmental reasons, it's quite expensive compared to regular shampoo prices.

  I've tried all versions of Donggubat shampoo bars - for oily, dry, and combination hair. My scalp isn't particularly dry or oily, so I didn't experience excessive dandruff due to dryness or greasiness with any of them. To me, they all felt like the same product, just in different colors!
