It's marketed as a functional skincare product for improving the skin barrier and reducing itchiness. I applied it morning and night for a week on my child's legs, who has mild atopic dermatitis. My child's skin, which usually flares up and gets itchy with even slight dryness, completely calmed down after a week of use. They didn't even scratch! In winter, I always finished with Bepanthen after body cream, but it's amazing how this product alone improves the skin. The absorbs well, and after gently massaging it in, it absorbs like a protective layer on the skin.
ConsAs it applies like a coating, my husband with oily skin found it a bit heavy during application and said his face felt greasy afterwards. After some time, there was an oily sheen on his face. It might feel a bit suffocating for those with oily skin, while those with very dry skin might benefit from applying an extra layer. As someone with extremely dry skin, I felt a slight dryness in the morning, so in the evening I took my time and applied two layers.
TipI'm considering repurchasing this product since it worked so well for my child. For the peak of winter, mixing a drop or two of jojoba oil into the cream could make it the ultimate hydration solution.

It gives you this fluffy, cozy feeling! I love the natural, herbal scent - not artificial at all. I've been using it a lot lately since the chilly wind has been making my arms and legs itchy. It's actually approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety for improving itchiness and strengthening the skin barrier. The texture is unique, which is hard to describe, so I've included a photo...
ConsInstead of feeling like a burst of hydration, it's more of a heavy, protective sensation. This might feel a bit suffocating for those with super sensitive skin.

Despite its rich texture, it absorbed well. My hands had been so dry they were cracking and stinging, but after applying this, those sensations quickly disappeared. It felt like it created a protective layer on my skin. I usually dislike heavy creams, but this felt like it formed a barrier on my skin that I'd want to use on particularly dry or itchy areas. The scent has that typical cica aroma, but it wasn't unpleasant to me personally.
ConsIt might be too rich for use on an adult woman's face. Applying makeup over it could feel heavy. The protective barrier effect, which was a plus, might actually feel a bit suffocating for some people.
TipThis seems ideal for very dry, itchy, or problem skin. I personally dislike heavy creams, so I'll likely use it mainly on my body. However, if you want to create a protective layer on your face, you could try applying a very thin layer as the final step in your skincare routine.

While it's more rich than moisturizing, it still spreads well. In this season, I typically finish with an essence-cream routine, but I found it great to mix in a drop of 1% retinol oil. When using retinol, skin often flakes like eczema, but this cream's high viscosity seems to act like a glue, adhering those dead skin cells, making it a great combination. Though it has the natural scent of its ingredients, it's fragrance-free, so I've even used it on my children's faces this season. It caused no issues on their skin and was as effective as MD creams in immediately soothing rough skin. The tube packaging is hygienic, making it easy to control the amount and convenient for travel. Comparing it to my usual Kim Jung Moon Barrier Cream and the kids' Bioderma ABCDerm: In terms of richness, Kim Jung Moon Barrier > Ceravera Ato Cream > Bioderma ABC. For oiliness, Ceravera Ato Cream > Bioderma ABC > Kim Jung Moon Barrier. For hydration, Bioderma ABC > Ceravera Ato Cream > Kim Jung Moon Barrier. This is based on combination dehydrated skin. It has a similar consistency to the Kim Jung Moon Barrier Cream but feels a bit richer, so if you find that cream lacking in oiliness, the Ceravera Ato Cream might suit you better.
ConsIt might feel a bit heavy for those with oily skin. To avoid this, use a small amount and apply it lightly over the skin, just enough to cover it.

I'm really pleased that this product comes in a tube - it's so much more hygienic and convenient than jar packaging, which I'm not a fan of for creams. The texture is a bit oilier and has a slight sheen compared to the emulsion, but as someone with dry skin, I don't mind that at all. However, it doesn't seem to provide deep hydration or intense moisture, so I'd recommend using a hydrating product before this cream for best results. The scent is similar to the Panthenol Emulsion, but imagine it as richer and more concentrated, with a slightly smaller quantity (180ml for the emulsion vs 150ml for the cream). I'll update with more thoughts after using it longer!
ConsWhile it works well for my dry skin, there's definitely a noticeable oiliness that might feel heavy for those with oily skin types. If you have oily skin, I'd recommend sticking with the emulsion instead.

I applied for The Hwahae Testers program since this product claims to help with the skin barrier and relieve itching. When I won and casually handed it to him to try, he's been diligently applying it! Although his facial skin type is oily, so it feels a bit rich, he says it's not heavy or irritating, and it absorbs well. We accidentally received the emulsion first due to a shipping error, and he mentioned that the emulsion felt lighter when applied. Due to his immune issues, his skin barrier is quite compromised, so we're hoping for positive results with consistent use.
ConsDue to the nature of creams, it might feel heavier compared to the emulsion.
TipFor those with oily skin, it might be best to apply a small amount in layers.

It has a calming effect. The fragrance is natural, reminiscent of herbs. While I'm not usually a fan of scented creams, I appreciated the subtle, natural aroma of this one.
ConsThe texture is a bit too thick for my liking, which is probably for hydration purposes, but it feels slightly heavy on the skin. The emulsion formula, however, was quite nice. It's suitable for use during fall and winter seasons.
TipTo improve absorption, I recommend applying a toner or essence to your face before using this cream. This makes it feel less burdensome. For dry arms and legs, applying it directly works wonderfully.

Surprisingly, I didn't experience any blemishes. That alone is fantastic! When applied, there's no tightness, and it absorbs well overnight, leaving my skin feeling soft by morning. It's so gentle that it truly lives up to the claim that even babies could use it without issues. I believe those with delicate skin will see real improvements with consistent use. After applying it to my face, hands, and feet, not only did my face and hands benefit immensely, but even my feet, which are prone to dead skin cells, became soft and smooth in just two days. I'll definitely keep using it!
ConsIf I had to pinpoint one drawback, it's that the product feels a bit slippery and slightly heavy while it's being absorbed. However, this sensation doesn't last long, so a little patience goes a long way.
TipI like to mix a small amount of serum with this product when applying. It seems to absorb even better that way.
