It absorbs well when applied, doesn't run, and has a slightly thick texture. It doesn't cause any skin irritation.
ConsThe scent... I can't get used to this fragrance. It has a strong herbal aroma that I just can't seem to get accustomed to.

Compared to the Tea Tree Ampoule, it seems better for dry skin. It has a soothing effect and feels more moisturizing, which I really liked. The formula flows smoothly without being too runny, with a texture like a thin liquid. It also absorbs well without leaving a sticky residue, so it's good to use before makeup. I think even those with oily or combination skin could use this in the winter. As for the scent, it has an herbal, earthy aroma that gives a healthy, natural feel. I'll definitely repurchase this once I finish the current bottle.
ConsThe pump on the packaging is a bit difficult to press down and dispense the product. You have to press quite firmly for the product to come out. Other than that, I didn't have any other issues with this product.

It feels like it moisturizes quite well. It seems to reduce the feeling of dryness. It has a certain viscosity, so it's not a runny type - it's dense when applied, absorbs well, and doesn't feel sticky afterwards. I was worried it might pill under sunscreen, but there's no pilling at all, and it's one of the products I use daily. It's easy to reach for. With the cold winter winds and heaters, my skin gets irritated, but this product soothes and moisturizes satisfactorily.
ConsIt's not disliked, but the fragrance can feel a bit strong at times, and the refill system is there, but do I really need it? The refill just means more plastic waste, when it would be better to have the product itself be the container. I think it would be better to just have the refill as the container to use.

I personally preferred the Tea Tree Ampoule over the water-based formula, although individual preferences may vary. My skin had become dry and troubled due to the heater and weather, but using this product consistently did provide some soothing effects. I used it as a night care product, and it applied smoothly with a moisturizing feel, though I'm not sure how long-lasting the effects were (as that can depend on weather and individual skin conditions).
ConsThe Tea Tree scent is quite strong, so those sensitive to fragrances may not enjoy it.

The slightly tacky, non-flowing texture seemed promising for moisture. The refillable packaging is an appealing feature! The eco-friendly paper packaging instead of air cushions was also appreciated. The convex bottom that allows the liquid to collect is a thoughtful detail that allows you to use every last drop. ๐ Application and Moisturizing The tacky texture applies smoothly and leaves a moisturized feeling. While the thick texture doesn't spread as widely, it definitely feels hydrating and the effect lasts. The non-greasy, dewy finish is also nice. For someone with extremely dry skin like myself, the moisturizing performance is very satisfactory, and I would definitely repurchase. :> ๐ Calming Tea Tree Although I don't have a lot of breakouts or troubled skin, I've had a few hormonal blemishes recently, and using this consistently has helped them subside. Since my skin is quite thin, especially around the eye area, there was a slight stinging sensation when patting it on. But a light application was fine. Given how thin my skin is, some irritation from the tea tree is unavoidable, but the reduced skin irritation makes this still suitable for daily use.:>
Consโ ๏ธ This is a unique refillable product, but it seems the refills are not actually being sold yet! Hopefully, as it sells well, the refills will become available.

There don't seem to be any irritating or acne-causing ingredients. - Texture: It wasn't too runny, so it was easy to use. As shown in the photo, the viscous product maintains its shape when squeezed onto the back of the hand and rotated at the wrist.
Cons- The dropper doesn't dispense well, which seems to be a common issue based on other reviews. The dropper is too small compared to the product's viscosity. As shown in the photo, this is the amount that comes out with one press. - Scent: It has a distinct cica scent, but there's also a smoky, tobacco-like note that gives it a strong cica smell that may not be universally appealing.
TipWhen mixed with other ampoules, the gentle ingredients didn't cause any trouble, and it provided long-lasting extra moisture.

Since it's dry, using lightweight, moisturizing skincare products makes my skin feel dry and cakey when I apply makeup, and I sometimes get rashes in the winter. Product Texture: The serum has a thick, non-runny texture. It hardly flows at all. Packaging: At first, I thought the bottle was glass, but it's actually plastic. It's not heavy, which is great. The bottle is a deep green color. You have to press down firmly on the dropper to get a good amount of the serum to come up. If you just lightly press, about half the dropper will come up. And it's transparent, so you can see how much is left, which is nice. Scent: The scent is completely herbal ๐ฟ. It's strong. But thankfully, it's not a headache-inducing scent. If you like the smell of plants on a mountain, you'll love this. The fresh, invigorating plant scent is great. Moisturization: It was incredibly hydrating. It absorbed deeply into my skin, which was wonderful. And it wasn't too light or heavy, or stuffy at all. ๐๐ I'd highly recommend this to those who don't like the heavy, sticky feeling of creams in the winter. It didn't feel tacky or leave any residue on my face. Absorption: It all absorbed completely, so there was no sticky or greasy feeling left after application. And there's a slight plumpness to the skin. Texture: It has a moisturizing, slightly hydrating texture... Breakouts: I didn't get any breakouts!! It wasn't irritating to my skin at all. It's so gentle, it's the best. Price: Serums are usually 30ml, but this one is 50ml!! The absolute price isn't too high either, so I think it's a good deal. When it's on sale, you can get it for under 20,000 won. I would 200% repurchase this product.
ConsThe rubber on top of the dropper is a bit firm. So you have to press down firmly to get the product to come up well.
TipSummary: The strong herbal ๐ฟ scent is refreshing and invigorating, not artificially headache-inducing. It has great moisturizing power. There's no heavy or sticky feeling!!! Great value at 50ml This is the first time I've had such a strong repurchase intent, even though I've tried many products as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer.

As someone who has used the 'Mediheal Tea Tree Calming Essence' before, I was able to compare it to the 'Mediheal Tea Tree Barrier Ampoule' and found the latter to be better. To get straight to the point, I personally think this product is superior. Compared to the previous moisture ampoule, it has a smoother and more hydrating texture. The moisture ampoule had a watery, flowing consistency, but the barrier ampoule is slightly sticky and does not flow as easily. However, it does not feel sticky when applied, and absorbs smoothly. I would recommend using the moisture ampoule in the summer and the barrier ampoule in the winter. For those with dry skin, the barrier ampoule can be used year-round. I don't tend to have a lot of skin troubles, but I do have a skin type that is sensitive to improper product usage. After using this product for about a week, I experienced no issues and found it to be a gentle formula. I'm grateful to have been selected as a Hwahae Trial Reviewer.
ConsThere are no downsides that I can think of. If I had to nitpick, the price? (But honestly, the price is not overly expensive, I just mean it would be even better if it were cheaper.)
TipI always mix ampoules with my cream products. I apply the ampoule first, and then mix it with the cream and apply it again. There's no better method than this for the winter season. I recommend trying this out if you have dry skin.

There are also markings, so the semi-transparent container lets you see the ampoule inside! You can visually check how much you've used. โNon-Runny Consistency Some other ampoule products have a runny formula that drips down your face when applied, which can be inconvenient. However, this product has a rich, creamy consistency that doesn't run or drip, and just stays where you apply it. A little also goes a long way in covering your entire face. โSkin Soothing While there's no miracle cure that can calm all troubles in a single day, consistency is the key for skin care. By closely monitoring any changes, I've gradually seen improvements, with redness diminishing. Although this review period was just a week, I've included a photo showing the reduced redness on my cheeks. โReasonable Price Compared to other ampoules, this one has a very reasonable price... Given the current state of the ampoule market, I'm quite satisfied with this price point.
ConsโCreamy Consistency(?) When I first used the dropper, the product didn't immediately get drawn up into the dropper like other products. I had to press down on the dropper several times to get small 1/2 drops onto my face. However, I figured out the solution. If you press down on the dropper firmly and hold it for a bit, the ampoule gets fully drawn up into the dropper. Then you can just take one press worth and it's enough. So this 'issue' isn't really a problem after all.
TipโIn the summer, this alone is sufficient, but in the winter, I add a lotion or cream on top to keep my skin feeling extra moisturized.

Since my skin is quite sensitive, I usually use ampoules with a lot of moisture, but this one seems to be an ampoule for skin barrier, so it has a definite dense and viscous feel to it. While using it, I felt a similar sensation to the ampoules in sheet masks - they don't seem to be runny. Tea tree is an ingredient that is often used for sensitive skin, but surprisingly, many people don't seem to tolerate it well. Fortunately, even though my skin is extremely sensitive and combination-type, requiring dermatologist visits, this product did not cause any breakouts for me. It's fine to use this in the morning before going to work, but as someone who wears makeup, I felt it might be a bit thick as a base (for makeup). So I've been just using the serum-ampoule-moisturizer routine in the evenings, and it's been sufficient even in this dry winter. _+ Oh, and I personally really like the neat and clean packaging of this product!
ConsAt first, I was a bit worried that the two-layered case might fall apart if I grip it too tightly. And since the ampoule has a thicker, more viscous texture, it doesn't get drawn up into the dropper very easily. But once I made the effort to press down firmly, it's been coming up well now!!
TipFirst, I apply it onto the skin like you would normally apply a product. Then, once it's all spread out, I gently pat it in to help it absorb better.
