Dr.Jart+ Cicapair™ Sleepair Intensive Soothing Repair Mask

I have been suffering from atopic dermatitis all my life, so my whole body has become severely dry and my skin is full of redness. My skin has become thickened and rough due to excessive scratching from atopic dermatitis, and there are softened scars left here and there, so my skin is not clean. However, I am a 50-year-old woman who confidently wears a swimsuit in the summer. Although there are more ingredients that don't suit me than those that do, rather than judging the ingredients as good or bad based on the EWG ingredient list, I try to see if there are any ingredients that don't suit me in the ingredient list, and if I'm not sure, I just go ahead and buy the product to try it out directly, as I have a straightforward personality as a cosmetics enthusiast. 1. This is a product that I've been using since before the renewal, and I don't even remember how many bottles I've used. 2. The pre-renewal product was a bit thicker and had better moisturizing properties, but after the renewal, it became a more jelly-like product, which is good for using in the summer, but as I've gotten older, I do miss the moisturizing feel a bit. 3. The Cicapair Intensive Soothing Repair Gel Cream 50ml is an opaque green jelly-type cream that is a bit thicker and has a slightly oilier feel, so it can be used comfortably day and night. On the other hand, this Cicapair Soothing Repair Mask, which is a 75ml product, is a more transparent green jelly cream with a stronger water-based feel and less oiliness, making it much lighter, but it is a sleeping mask product. While it doesn't feel sticky, I found that it tends to slip a bit when used during the day, so it may not be the best for use before makeup. 4. Both can be used as cream masks, and they have a similar soothing effect. 5. While some reviews say the Cicapair Gel Cream is better for day and night use, both were effective for my severe redness. However, if asked why I preferred this Cicapair Soothing Repair Mask over the Cicapair Gel Cream, it's because: 1) I'm already using a lot of different creams for anti-aging and such, and 2) What I need is a wash-off mask product.3) Also, the larger volume and more frequent sales make this product more affordable, so I tend to purchase this more often. 4) As someone who has a phobia of heavy creams and prefers lightweight formulas, I always gravitate towards products with a lighter burden. 5) Looking at the ingredient list, the Cicapair ingredients are positioned higher up compared to the Gel Cream, which was another factor. 6. I don't usually apply sleeping masks and then go to sleep: 1) I don't like it when the product transfers to the pillow, but it's not because I'm a neat freak. 2) I feel burdened when applying a sleeping mask and having it on my face all night. I think the skin also needs some rest. 3) I also don't like wearing gel masks for 5-6 hours, as I'm concerned about how drying that could be for the skin. 7. So instead, I use the ample moisture from most sleeping masks, apply a thick layer on my face, and then add a modeling pack or gel mask on top. When I feel it's starting to dry out, I remove the top layer. 8. I use this Cicapair Soothing Repair Mask as a cream mask pack when my skin is SOS-ing with dullness or severe redness: First, I apply the Wellauge Moisture Ampoule like a toner, then use the Estrala Acica 365 Soothing Serum or the Uriage Cica Daily Intense Repairer Serum. In the summer, I mix it with the Cicapair Soothing Repair Mask and either the Number 1 Cream or the Beplain Mugwort Pore Cream (you can mix it with any suitable cream you have at home). In the winter lately, I mix it with a barrier cream and apply it thickly (my 80-year-old mother loves this and even recommends mixing it with Nivea cream, but I'm too scared to try that, even though she swears it's the best recipe). For severe redness, I use it as a modeling pack.When I'm feeling lazy, I use the Mediheal Tea Tree Mask Pack. When I'm a bit less lazy, I apply the Biovivo Gel Mask on top. 9. After about 30 minutes to an hour, when it's appropriately dried, I always do a very gentle cleansing with cleansing water and a bubble container. Thorough but gentle cleansing is a must. 10. I do this intensive mask treatment up to twice a week, as it's really great for strengthening the skin barrier. 11. While this product may not be suitable for those with severe acne, for those with more oily/combination skin who are experiencing dryness, I recommend: - Applying a thin layer on its own - Followed by your usual daily sheet mask - When it feels sufficiently dried, gently wipe it off with a pad or do a light water cleanse Try different combinations to find what works best for you. If you can do this daily, it may help address the dryness. 12. The downside is that you may feel some slippage the next day or while sleeping. In that case, do a gentle foam cleansing and rinse in the morning. 13. For Dr. Jart+ products, I recommend: - Purchase the first time from their website using coupons for maximum discounts (great for newer, pricier products like the Baicalial serum/cream - you can also get lots of samples to try first) - Wait for site-wide sales to stock up on products you've already tried and liked 14. In the morning, I must wash thoroughly... Otherwise, my skin will peel off like a layer of dirt... The product does not seem to calm skin troubles as much as expected. Due to the formula, there is a high chance of it getting on the pillow, making it uncomfortable to sleep after use.
