I bought this lip mask from Olive Young without high expectations, but wow, what a pleasant surprise! It's a real bang for your buck and exceeded my expectations!! I snagged it on sale for around 8,000 won at Olive Young. As a lip mask newbie, I picked it randomly, but after just one night, the dramatic effect on my chapped lips was amazing. It completely removed all the dead skin cells! The 15g size is just right and it's conveniently portable. The texture is a super rich, transparent, beeswax-like formula. It's simple to use - just apply a thick layer on your lips after your skincare routine, sleep on it, and rinse off with warm water in the morning. That's it! Check out my before and after photos. Without using any lip color products, my natural lip color was restored and all the flakiness disappeared. Overall, it's similar to Vaseline, but without that distinctive petroleum smell and taste. Instead, it has a pleasant, sweet scent and barely any taste, making it much more suitable for lip care! While I'm satisfied with the results, the formula is extremely thick and rich. It feels quite sticky and uncomfortable until you rinse it off. Washing it off can be a bit of a hassle too. Due to its beeswax-like texture, you need to use hot to warm water and really scrub to remove it completely. The product description says it can be used as both a lip mask and a lip balm, but for the reasons mentioned above, I personally find it difficult to use as an everyday lip balm... If you have plastic wrap at home, try covering your lips with a small piece after applying the lip mask. It helps lock in the hydration and prevents the product from smearing. For those who find rinsing with warm water tedious, you can use wet wipes to remove the mask. It comes off quite well and doesn't leave residue on your hands. However, for a gentler removal, I still recommend warm water...

The price is great, you get a generous amount, and the quality is excellent. About 2-3 years ago, I developed cheilitis due to stress, weakened immunity, and using lip products that didn't suit me. Through gentle lip products and better health management, I improved significantly and had been cheilitis-free for nearly a year. Buying this during the Olive Young sale and applying it turned out to be a mistake. The morning after using it, when I wiped my lips with lukewarm water, something felt off. My lips were burning and the edges were swollen like a chipmunk's cheeks. If you have sensitive lips, are currently under a lot of stress, or have a weakened immune system, I recommend waiting to use this or avoiding it altogether. I usually don't like leaving negative reviews, but I know all too well the agony of cheilitis, and there's absolutely nothing good about developing it unnecessarily. I'm going back to my previous lip product... For those with sensitive lips, please carefully read reviews and check ingredients before using! It has an ointment-like, sticky texture. Rather than providing moisture to your lips, it feels more like it's creating a barrier to prevent dryness. The formula is completely different from L*J's sleeping mas*. This review highlights the importance of patch testing and being aware of your skin's sensitivities, especially when trying new lip products. It also emphasizes how factors like stress and overall health can impact skin reactions. I apply this every night before bed and love how it banishes my dry skin! Ever since I started using this, I haven't worried about dead skin cells on my lips at all! It's so incredibly good that I've been giving it as gifts to everyone around me. It's quite sticky and doesn't wash off easily with water. So once it gets on something while you're moving around, it feels uncomfortable. Apply a generous amount before bed, and when you wake up, wipe it off with a wet wipe - all the dead skin cells on your lips will be gone! If you're worried about chapped lips and fine lines, you need to get this right now. I've used so many tubes I've lost count. Apply it before bed, and when you wake up, wipe it off firmly with a tissue - all the dead skin cells come right off. You absolutely must buy this. Those who can't stand sticky textures might not like it. But it's worth putting up with because it's that good. This lip treatment works hard to address common lip concerns. It's become a staple in my daily skincare routine. I snagged this during an Olive Young sale, so it was quite a bargain. That's about the only positive thing I can say, unfortunately... I only applied it once, but the next day my lips swelled up like balloons. The burning sensation lasted into the following day, and my lips even developed bruise-like spots that were really painful. I'm baffled as to why I had such a bad reaction when everyone else seems to love it! It sounds like you may have had an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients. If you experience any burning sensation or swelling after using a product, it's best to discontinue use immediately and consult a dermatologist if symptoms persist. Everyone's skin is different, so what works for others might not work for you. Always patch test new products, especially if you have super sensitive skin.

No matter what lip balm I used before, my lips would quickly crack again, and I had a habit of picking at them. Now, there's nothing left to pick because the dead skin cells are gone! How to use: Before bed, generously apply it to your lips. When you wake up in the morning, the dead skin cells will have softened. Gently rub them off, and they'll come right off. All day smooth lips... The plump lips I've been dreaming of... I've used it so much, there's a hole in the product! If I don't use it for a day or two, the dead skin cells come back. I can't live without it! As effective as it is at softening dead skin cells, it's incredibly sticky. In the morning, you can use wet wipes, tissue, or cotton swabs, but I just use my wet hands to rub off the dead skin cells. Then I brush my teeth to get rid of any remaining stickiness. It might feel a bit strange and uncomfortable at first. It's really sticky, so don't apply it anywhere except your lips!
