Recently my scalp became super sensitive, so I was looking for a gentle shampoo and tried this tofu shampoo! From the first use, I loved how the lather was soft and creamy, and after rinsing, my hair felt moisturized without being stiff. What I especially liked was that it seemed to cleanse gently without irritating my scalp, probably thanks to the tofu-derived ingredients (soybean peptides, soybean extract, etc.)! I felt reassured using it since it's free from silicones and sulfates. With its focus on natural ingredients, it feels safe for daily use and seems to really suit sensitive scalps. The scent is a subtle, pleasant soybean aroma that doesn't overwhelm, making each shampoo session enjoyable. Lately, I've noticed less hair breakage, and my scalp feels much more comfortable. I highly recommend this to anyone with a sensitive scalp or those looking for a gentle product! It's a shampoo you'll fall in love with after just one use... (My hair texture: becoming silky smooth) The only downside might be the packaging...? But if it came in a bottle, it would probably be harder to use. This container seems to be the best option for this type of formula. - pt********Dry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 3, 2025
The creamy texture makes it soft and lathers well, making it easy to apply evenly to the scalp and hair for a comfortable massage. After shampooing, the hair texture seems to become a bit softer... or is it just my imagination? The fresh scent is also somewhat addictive. Nothing in particular. Oh, maybe the price? I bought it at a 50% discount, thankfully, because the full price feels a bit too expensive. Since you need to scoop it out each time, it might feel unhygienic if wet hands keep touching the remaining product. It might be convenient to keep a disposable spoon nearby when using it. Given the product concept, it seems to focus on scalp and hair nourishment, so if cleansing effectiveness is your top priority, you might want to look for a different shampoo. - in****Oily SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedSep 8, 2024
Gentle fragrance Subtle scent lingers even after drying hair Smooth texture Expensive for the amount Can't quite place the scent. Doesn't seem floral Lather isn't as rich compared to other shampoos - dk********Oily SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 30, 2024
For oily scalp, dry hair, color-treated hair (no bleaching), no perm, no straightening: 1. It lathers well. 2. The fragrance is lovely (not bad as a perfume substitute). 3. Provides a refreshing feel for oily scalps. 4. Lasts longer than expected. 5. Doesn't cause back acne. 1. The price is a bit high. 2. It's more economical to buy the largest size available. 3. Using too much at once can feel wasteful. 4. Those with dry hair might still feel some dryness. Using it together with the Violet Cream treatment can create a nice fragrance layering effect and help combat hair dryness. - gi******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJun 27, 2024
The fragrance is gentle and the product feels moisturizing. Highly recommended for those with dry scalps. Due to its hydrating nature, those with oily skin might find it less suitable. Given the packaging design, water can seep in and start dissolving the product if used directly in the shower. It might be more effective to portion it out for use. - 95********Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedMay 9, 2024
My scalp is extremely dry - I can go three days without washing my hair and it still feels fresh. But it's also super sensitive, so I can't use just any shampoo. After trying this one, I immediately made it my go-to. I used to have frequent flare-ups of seborrheic dermatitis, but while using this, I didn't experience any itching or dryness at all. The lather is incredibly rich, and although the scent wasn't particularly appealing to me, I don't usually focus on shampoo fragrances, so it was fine. I was worried after seeing reviews mentioning it left hair feeling stiff, but after drying, my hair feels even smoother and more manageable than when I use regular shampoo and conditioner. Some people find the cream formula inconvenient, but I actually enjoy it - I can easily scoop out just the right amount, and the texture makes it fun to use! The price is quite high, unfortunately. The scent might be polarizing, but it should be fine for those who, like me, don't pay much attention to fragrance. It has a strong lemon scent. - Hwahae UserDry SkinRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 7, 2024
Silicone-free! It lathers up nicely, making hair washing a pleasure. Even with my long, thick hair, a small amount goes a long way. The cleansing effectiveness is superb, making this my favorite among Lush shampoos. The cream formula makes it tricky to control the amount, which isn't very convenient. Being silicone-free, it inevitably feels quite stiff when rinsing out. While you can wash with relatively little product, the cream consistency means you tend to use more than with liquid shampoos. The scent is like vinegar mixed with Chinese food... I've gotten used to it now, but it took some time. - ki******Dry SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 31, 2024
It's gentle and has a lovely scent. The finish is great too, making it my favorite among Lush shampoos. There's nothing major, but I suppose the high price is a drawback. That's why I didn't repurchase it.
