I've always wanted to try the famous Wellage ampoule, but since hyaluronic acid doesn't suit my skin very well, I was thrilled to try the 'Real Cica Calming 95' instead. As luck would have it, I had just developed some blemishes and even scarring from popping them, so it was the perfect time to test this product! This product contains high-purity cica ingredients and niacinamide (for brightening), which are said to be effective for blemishes (blackheads, whiteheads), deep skin soothing, and reducing the appearance of dark spots. From my experience: - The 'lightweight formula' is perfect for the warmer weather, making it comfortable to apply (I think it would be great for oily, blemish-prone skin). - The light texture absorbs quickly without pilling, even with multiple layers, making it ideal to use before makeup. - I saw noticeable improvement on my recent acne scars, which was the most satisfying aspect. Although I've only been using it for a short time and complete fading is difficult, the scars visibly lightened compared to before. (I also used a scar ointment, which I had been using before starting the ampoule) - The simple ingredient list caused no irritation, making it suitable for use even when my skin was feeling sensitive.
ConsWhile I was quite satisfied with the effective ingredients and results, if I had to point out any downsides: As mentioned in the positives, the lightweight formula left me wanting a bit more hydration after my evening cleanse. (I recommend layering it with other moisturizing products) Also, although it claims to be effective for blackheads and whiteheads, I didn't notice significant improvements in that area. (However, it didn't cause any additional blemishes, so that's fine).

Compared to other soothing serums (like B-plane Cicaterol Ampoule), it's much less viscous (less sticky), which I, with my oily skin, found extremely satisfying. It still applies moistly and leaves a refreshingly light finish. No oiliness or shine: As someone with oily skin, I pay attention to this aspect. There's very little oiliness or shine right after application or the next morning. I was considering switching from my usual B-plane Cicaterol, which is quite oily/sticky, and I'm very pleased with this aspect. Scent: It's fragrance-free. My previous B-plane Cicaterol had a peculiar smell that, while tolerable, was somewhat bothersome. I love that this one is unscented. Soothing effect: After a round of golf, I applied two generous layers before bed. In the morning, I could definitely feel that my sun-exposed skin had been soothed.
ConsBlemish (mark) improvement: As with Goodal's blemish serum, I haven't noticed any lightening of acne scars yet. Blackhead, whitehead, and sebum reduction: I haven't felt any improvement in this area either. I've never thought that these issues have decreased.
TipRedness recovery rate: I don't have redness issues, so I can't comment on this aspect. Deep hydration: As I don't tend to have dehydrated skin, I'm not sure how much it helps with deep hydration. The moisturizing and refreshing feeling persists after application. Highly recommended for oily skin!

Texture: Lightweight, absorbs well. Pros: [Soothing] Recently, my skin has been feeling hot, irritated, and tingly. This product really helped calm it down. I think it's the first ampoule I've used that feels soothing deep into the skin. Rather than immediate relief, you feel the calming effect gradually as it absorbs. While it may not visibly reduce redness much, you can feel the internal heat and irritation subsiding. [Non-irritating] I experienced zero irritation. I have quite sensitive facial skin and usually feel discomfort when switching skincare products (even if they end up suiting me later). However, this product felt comfortable from the first use, which made me realize it's truly non-irritating. Of course, this may vary from person to person. [Blemish improvement] It definitely lightened my hyperpigmentation. I'll attach a photo. Dark spots have gradually faded to light freckle-like marks. (I used it consistently from 2/27 to 3/10, often layering it twice a day. Please keep this in mind.) Given its positive effects on soothing, non-irritation, and blemish improvement, I intend to repurchase.
ConsCons: [Blemishes, sebum production] I'm not sure about improvements in sebum production. Blackheads and whiteheads remain unchanged so far. While continued use might make a difference, existing small bumps, blackheads, and whiteheads haven't improved... It remains to be seen whether it will affect future blackhead formation with more use. [Hydration] I didn't feel like it provided intense hydration. I needed to layer it about twice to address deep dryness to some extent. [Skin texture] I'm not sure about texture improvement. While it was good for irritated, blotchy skin due to its soothing properties, you might be disappointed if you're solely looking for texture refinement. It seems to run out quite quickly. You might find it a bit pricey. I recommend purchasing it when it's on sale!

It seems really effective for soothing the skin. I've been a big fan of the Wellage Cica Kit, so I was hoping for an ampoule version. While the ingredients might not be exactly the same, I'm really happy with this product!
ConsI'm enjoying it so much that I can't really think of any downsides. It's incredibly effective for calming the skin, but I'm not sure about its claims for improving blackheads and whiteheads as mentioned on the product page. That's probably the only uncertain point.
TipFor areas that need extra soothing, I find it works well to layer it on a second time.

I don't usually write much beyond this. ✔ Skin type: Combination dehydrated skin (My skin cracks and peels due to dryness. Oily products don't suit me, and highly nourishing ones cause folliculitis) = Super sensitive skin, with visible tiny bumps under light as default I get one or two painful, large blemishes weekly Acne scars don't fade easily Dead skin cells always form where blemishes used to be My skin is very reactive to seasonal changes, and many products, even with good ingredients, don't suit me ★Repurchase intention: 50%★ ✔ Irritation and blemishes No irritation, but a few small bumps appeared, possibly due to the high-nourishing cica formula. (My usual folliculitis thriving on skincare nutrients) ✔ Fragrance-free ✔ Texture It's on the thinner side. When applied, it doesn't absorb super quickly, but rather glides on the skin a bit before absorbing, leaving a soft finish. (Others mentioned very quick absorption, but maybe it's because I have a lot of dead skin cells... Based on one dropper-full, I didn't feel it absorbed instantly) It seems to vary person to person + After several uses, I found it absorbs faster when applied without a hydrating serum! It's not hydrating enough on its own for my dry skin, so I used it with a hydrating serum. In that case, it tended to pill, so it's better to apply it separately or as the first step!! ✔ Packaging Compared to the famous product from this cica line with a very stiff dropper, this one is softer and easier to use
Cons✔ Effectiveness The product description claimed it was good for whiteheads, but after a week of use, I didn't notice any dramatic effects ✔ Not suitable for me Generally, highly nourishing serums don't work well for me. I usually stick to hydrating serums as my base and apply small amounts of other products for skin health. However, I don't think this product is powerful enough to use in small quantities as a nourishing treatment, so I probably won't repurchase it.

If the oil and moisture balance is off, I can see little oil beads forming in each pore of my T-zone when I wake up. ✔ Severe closed comedones!! My skin is deeply dehydrated and when I apply toner or ampoule, the first layer gets absorbed immediately!! I usually layer it twice. ✔ Super sensitive skin (acne-prone): If there's an ingredient that doesn't agree with me, I'll get pimples or inflammatory acne within a week. 🔹 Texture: Colorless and fragrance-free, water-like texture. Suitable to apply right after toner and absorbs well with a fresh feeling. 🔹 Hydration: Since it's not a product focused solely on moisturizing, I can't say the hydration is super intense. I usually layer it twice, and because it's so light, my face doesn't feel heavy at all!! 🔹 Soothing: I tried this for the first time after doing an at-home MTS treatment, worried it might not suit me or if it would soothe my skin. But after applying this and using a modeling mask, I felt the burning sensation and redness subsiding. From the next day, even when I used it alone without the modeling mask, it was still good. It's not like it completely calms all acne!! But it's great for soothing sensitive skin
ConsIt says it's good for blackheads and whiteheads, but I didn't really notice any effect. I was hoping I wouldn't need to use a separate oil, but it wasn't quite that effective. Still, those who don't do separate blackhead care might notice some improvement

I'll keep it brief and focus on my impressions, as I don't read long reviews either. My skin type: Combination dehydrated in the T-zone. Sadly, I have concerns about pores and blackheads in the butterfly zone (blame it on my age). I'm prone to milia and blemishes, especially with frequent all-nighters (my T-zone turns into an 'oil explosion' at night). Before we start: 🙏 A word of advice for those in their 20s-30s: Take care of your pores early! Don't end up with regrets like me. Say NO to drinking all night ❌ and YES to thorough cleansing 👌🏻 (It's the shortcut to saving money on dermatologist visits) Wellage Real Cica Calming Trouble Ampoule 🌿 Packaging + Quantity While Wellage's hyaluronic acid line is blue, the cica line is green, which I found intuitively appealing. The generous 50ml ampoule is a plus. 🌿 Texture + Application + Scent + Ingredients > Like most cica ampoules, it feels refreshing. The texture is transparent with a slight viscosity, flowing slowly. It's refreshing yet not too light, and you can feel the hydration. The application is great 👍 > Even with my sensitive nose, the scent is barely noticeable, so it's practically fragrance-free. > The non-comedogenic ingredients reassured me, as my skin tends to break out with pore-clogging ingredients. The excellent formulation caused no blemishes at all. 🌿 Effectiveness Wellage claims 'soothing/blackhead/mark improvement'. Here's my take on these three aspects: > For soothing, it's not as strong as spot patches, but after using it diligently morning and night for a week, it seemed to calm emerging milia. I've tried many cica ampoules, and this one ranks high in soothing effects. I'd like to continue using it. > I didn't notice any effect on blackheads. As someone with persistent blackhead issues, I use a blackhead kit 1-2 times a month. A week of use wasn't enough to see results in this area 🥲 > Despite the high-purity madecassoside, I couldn't see any improvement in marks after just a week of use 🥲 🌿🌿🌿 In conclusion It has the typical refreshing feel of cica ampoules while being hydrating and not drying. I was satisfied with the noticeable soothing effect even after just a week of use. With its high-purity madecassoside content, it seems worth trying with expectations. Overall, I'm satisfied and would repurchase when I run out. I'll update my review after a month of consistent use 🤩👍
Cons- I had high hopes for blackhead and whitehead improvement, but couldn't feel any effects after a week of use. It seems like long-term use is needed to tell 🥲 - The dropper sometimes rattles when pulled out of the bottle. It would be nice if this could be improved.
TipAfter exfoliating with cica pads, apply a generous amount of the ampoule, then finish with a refreshing cica cream. This routine keeps your skin hydrated without feeling dry.
