Pros
Despite having sensitive skin, I was able to hydrate without any blemishes or tingling. If you have sensitive, dry skin and are looking for a hydrating ampoule, this is the one I recommend. As soon as you apply it, your skin becomes the epitome of moisturized.
Cons
Since it's not rich in oils, you'll need to follow up with a cream for added moisture after hydrating. However, it's primarily for hydration, so this alone can be sufficient.
Tip
I read somewhere that dermatologists consider hydration the most crucial step. I've heard it's best to lock in moisture with a rich cream after hydrating, and this product is perfect for that hydration step. Highly recommended.

When I saw that this was Hwahae's first hydrating serum created with 3,178 users, I was really excited! I wondered if it could be even better than the many great serums already on Hwahae, but I figured it must have gone through a meticulous process in terms of ingredients, formulation, and texture. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I can't skip the serum step, and I prefer basic products focused solely on hydration rather than functional cosmetics, so I was particularly looking forward to this serum. I'll share my honest thoughts based on my experience using it: Smooth, non-sticky texture I prefer a light, watery texture over thick, syrupy formulas. This product applies smoothly without any stickiness and has a fresh finish, which I love. It absorbs quickly into the skin, providing moisture without any oiliness - perfect for combination dehydrated skin! Gentle and non-irritating Having super sensitive skin, I'm always cautious when testing new products as even one incompatible ingredient can cause irritation within minutes. Fortunately, this serum felt very comfortable on my face with no burning, redness, or itching. I was quite satisfied just finding a serum that's gentle and non-irritating for my skin. Looking at the product description again, I noticed it's also completed skin irritation tests and is certified as non-irritating. Doesn't feel greasy even with multiple layers I like to layer my serums, so the texture is crucial. This product has a light, fresh formula packed with hydration, so even when applied in multiple layers, it doesn't pill and seems to strengthen the moisture barrier - I love it! Great hydration It contains various ingredients that help with skin hydration, such as hyaluronic acid, allantoin, and panthenol. My skin responds well to hyaluronic acid, so I had high expectations, and indeed, the hydration was excellent. Although the formula is light, it doesn't evaporate quickly, providing lasting moisture. When I layer it multiple times and finish with a slightly richer cream, it creates a perfect oil and moisture balance. For my skin, it provides just the right amount of hydration - not too much, not too little.
Cons
While I highly recommend this serum for combination dehydrated or oily skin types, I wouldn't suggest it for those with dry skin. Since it's an oil-free serum focused on hydration, I think it might be too light as a first step for dry skin types.

My skin is transitioning from oily to dry, but it's not particularly sensitive. The texture of this product is incredibly light and thin, gliding smoothly across the face. It feels like applying a mix of water with just a hint of oil - that's how effortlessly it goes on. Despite this, it doesn't leave an oily residue. It's the perfect product for those with oily skin to use during summer!
Cons
I usually space out my skincare routine. I start with an exfoliating toner, then apply serum/essence. Once that's absorbed, I follow with an emulsion, wait a while, and finally apply cream. However, this serum alone doesn't provide enough hydration. My skin feels tight pretty quickly, probably because it lacks richness. I doubt those with dry skin could use this in winter at all.

Gentleness is its biggest advantage Since it's made by Hwahae, I trust the ingredients. There's no typical fragrance smell when using the toner or cream. It's completely unscented. Those with super sensitive skin will especially love this. 2. Lightweight texture My skin is combination-oily with visible pores, so I prefer products with more hydration than oil. This fits the bill perfectly. It's not completely oil-free though, which I'll discuss later. The texture is like flowing water, so it should absorb well as long as you don't apply too much. 3. Great for oil and moisture balance You can feel both oil and hydration. Is it low in oil? Not exactly... But even those with dry skin could use it alone or add it to their skincare routine. 4. Likely to work well under makeup In summer, for oily skin, if you pat your skin after applying toner > serum > sunscreen, it feels very firm. I think it's because it provides both hydration and oil from within.
Cons

Tip
When my skin feels dry, I use the Daily Serum alone in the serum step. For blemishes or potential breakouts, mixing equal parts of the Daily Serum with aloe gel quickly calms the skin. Using aloe gel alone can be drying, but mixing it with the serum creates a hydrating aloe gel effect.
