Avène's signature cotton-like scent is the only thing that would have kept me from using it for the rest of my life;;

After cleansing, it feels good without any dryness. The 500ml size may seem large, but the amount to be used at once is quite substantial, so it is not really a large volume.

It's great as a second cleanser - moisturizing and definitely non-irritating

For gentle exfoliation without irritation, mix a small amount of this product with a bit of mung bean powder and gently massage it onto your skin in circular motions (be very gentle with the rolling motion).

The scent feels a bit artificial (deducted one point for the fragrance - it might have been better unscented). As expected from a cleansing gel, the foam density is naturally lower compared to cleansing foams.

Definitely less irritating than alkaline cleansers and has surprisingly good cleansing effectiveness. It's great to buy when it's on sale at Cu*e. The volume is generous and it works well for body cleansing too. Recommended as a morning cleanser for combination dehydrated skin (even a small amount cleanses well).

It does contain fragrance, but the scent isn't particularly pleasant. It has that typical derma brand smell that's neither here nor there. Fortunately, the scent isn't too strong. Some Avène products have quite intense fragrances, but this one doesn't, which I appreciate.

It's definitely a product with natural surfactants, so it feels gentle on the skin and isn't overly harsh. The cleansing effectiveness isn't the squeaky-clean type. It also doesn't lather up much. I prefer cleansers that aren't too drying, so I really like this product. It's a bit ambiguous for facial use, so I'm using it as a body cleanser. I'm also using this for my keratosis pilaris on my body, but I'll need to use it longer to see the full effects.

The cleansing power is stronger than I expected. Despite claims of reducing skin tightness and dryness, it actually makes my skin feel dry. I was surprised to see it labeled as slightly acidic. After showering, I need to apply moisturizer immediately to combat the dryness. While it's somewhat okay for the body since the skin is thicker than the face, using it on my face causes immediate tightness, redness, and leaves my skin feeling so dry it's almost like I have dermatitis when I pat it dry with a tissue. I'll definitely avoid using this on my face from now on!

I love how there's no residue left on the skin after rinsing off the foam. It's been amazing for my atopic skin - I have slightly bumpy patches on my outer arms (not quite keratosis pilaris), and the severity of this varies depending on the body wash I use. Since using this one, I've noticed a significant reduction in the bumpiness. It's quite remarkable!
