Skin concerns & first impression The product has a clean, simple design with a water toner-like texture. As someone who's been managing adult acne for quite a while, the 'anti-acne' in the product name really caught my eye. As we age, our skin type changes and blemishes evolve. My recent concern has been excessive oil production around my nose and chin, leading to constant breakouts. I was looking for something to reduce sebum production when I came across this Anti-Acne Sebum Reducer in The Hwahae Testers program, so I decided to give it a try! 2. Application experience The texture is very watery and runs easily. Since it's not a pump bottle, I either drop it into my palms and spread it over my face or apply it with a cotton pad as an exfoliating toner or spot treatment. As advertised, it's free from colorants and fragrances, giving it a clean, transparent feel. At first, I applied quite a bit and noticed a slight stickiness, which I thought might be due to the sebum-regulating ingredients. I adjusted my application method, layering small amounts twice over my entire face. This left a light, refreshing film on my skin that felt nice. When my skin feels sensitive, I apply this Sebum Reducer generously and follow up with just a moisturizer. If I feel dry, I'll add a hydrating essence in between. It's great for use before makeup or at bedtime. 3. Effectiveness The main effect I was hoping for was improved sebum control, and I definitely saw results here. Before, my face would get oily quickly even after skincare, and I'd feel itchy. With the Sebum Reducer, I noticed oil production was delayed and reduced. It's a subtle change, but the acne on my chin has significantly decreased. Now I make sure to use it as a mask on my chin every other day. If you're dealing with excessive oiliness that's causing breakouts, I highly recommend trying this product! 4. Overall opinion I've always used toners for hydration, but with my recent sebum concerns, I thought I'd try this one since I'm using a toner anyway. I was pleasantly surprised by how much it calmed my skin. If you have very oily skin, I'd suggest using small amounts. Layer more on dry areas. If your skin type and concerns are similar to mine, it might be worth giving this a try!
ConsThere aren't many downsides to mention. The initial slight slipperiness might feel unusual, but if you adjust the amount and slowly work it into your skin, you'll see good results!
