I've tried beer yeast in powder form before, but this is my first time using it in a shampoo. I've been worried about my hair getting thinner, so when I learned that beer yeast is good for hair loss, I looked into it. I decided to buy the Märchent Beer Yeast Shampoo because the ingredients seemed decent and the price was reasonable for the amount. I received it today and tried it in the evening. Contrary to some reviews, it lathered up well for me. I was concerned about a strong beer yeast smell, but it actually had a slightly sweet scent. I liked that it didn't make my hair feel too stiff. I'm hoping the hair loss prevention properties will work for me! It's a bit disappointing that out of the 20 key ingredients, there's one fragrance and one potential allergen. But overall, it's still relatively good... If you pre-wash, rinse, and then shampoo properly a second time, you'll get rich lather and your scalp will feel refreshed. - ba*********Normal SkinRecommendedApr 1, 2025
The scent is pleasant, and the ingredients are fairly gentle. I'm using it with satisfaction since I've heard beer yeast shampoo is good for the hair! It also has a slightly cooling sensation. I recommend it! So far, I haven't found any particular drawbacks. However, those who dislike the fragrance might not find it suitable. - ap*************Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 30, 2025
I've used about two-thirds of this product on my oily scalp and dry hair. The ingredients seem pretty good for the price. I'm not sure if it helps with hair loss, but I feel like I'm shedding less hair. It doesn't make my scalp feel oily, and I haven't had any issues with dandruff. Compared to other anti-hair loss shampoos, it doesn't make my hair feel excessively stiff. It doesn't lather up very well, so I end up using more product. There's a cherry-like scent, but I'm not sure how long it lasts. It's marketed as an anti-hair loss shampoo, but I can't really tell if it's helping with that. While it doesn't make my hair as stiff as other anti-hair loss shampoos, I'm not sure if it's actually making it softer. - so******Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 4, 2025
For my oily scalp and hair loss issues, this shampoo seems to reduce shedding when I wash. It's affordable, making it great for everyday use. I have to wash my hair daily, which usually increases hair loss... but I've heard brewer's yeast is quite effective. I find it suitable, so I'll likely continue using it. The scent is refreshing too, so I'd recommend it unless you have sensitive skin. Be cautious if you have sensitive skin - I noticed there are three potentially irritating ingredients. I mix in some hair oil when I use it. It lathers up better and feels gentler on the scalp. - je**********Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 2, 2025
It feels refreshingly nice! Since I haven't been using it for long, I'll need to keep using it to fully understand its effects. So far, I haven't found anything particularly disappointing about it. - cs*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 26, 2025
As soon as you use it, you can feel your scalp cooling down and the heat subsiding! Despite being a functional shampoo, it doesn't make your hair stiff after use. Instead, it leaves it soft and creates a rich lather. After using it for a few months, I've noticed a significant reduction in scalp itchiness and sensitivity. When rinsing with water, it feels like a slight film forms, which seems like an oily layer. If you continue using only this shampoo, you might feel like your scalp becomes oily not long after washing. It was like this even in winter, so I imagine it could be worse when used in summer... It's better not to use this shampoo exclusively for the whole week. Alternating with another shampoo helps reduce the oiliness issue. - wj*********Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 18, 2025
I've been using beer yeast shampoo for 4 years now. After trying various beer yeast shampoos, I found this product to be great in terms of price and feel. My scalp itching disappeared, and I noticed my previously thin hair becoming thicker. You can't expect beer yeast shampoos to have a pleasant scent. It's necessary to find a nice-smelling conditioner to pair with it. - gi*******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedOct 27, 2024
My hair texture has really improved! I'm not sure yet if I'm losing less hair, but I'm glad I tried it since my hair feels so much better. I definitely recommend it! The price is on the higher side, I must say. Even though I'd like to repurchase it, the cost does make me think twice... - fl******Dry SkinRecommendedJun 20, 2024
I decided to buy this shampoo because it contains 10,000ppm of brewer's yeast extract, along with various ingredients beneficial for hair loss. Plus, all ingredients except for fragrance are pretty gentle. After trying it, I found that despite its somewhat thin consistency, it lathers up nicely. The value for money is incredible, and they often have great promotions too. Oh, and I noticed a refreshing and cooling sensation when using it - turns out it contains menthol! I think men would enjoy this as well, and it's perfect for summer use. The cooling effect isn't too intense, so it should be fine for winter use too. The scent wasn't quite my type. Fragrance is actually quite important for shampoo. The product description mentioned rose and caramel notes, and that's exactly what it smells like! When I read it, I wasn't sure what to expect, but upon using it, I immediately understood. It's really sweet, but with a certain heaviness to it. It doesn't smell particularly luxurious - more like an inexpensive amenity fragrance. This was the most disappointing aspect for me, but I don't have any other complaints. For a hair loss prevention routine, it's recommended to wash your hair in the evening. Try using this shampoo at night, and keep in mind that some people might experience a slightly stiff feeling afterward. I'd suggest using a conditioner along with it for best results. - ke*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 7, 2024
I have an extremely oily scalp. I bought this on sale for a bargain, and it's so good that I'm stocking up! First off, I love that it's sulfate-free. It contains menthol, which gives a refreshing tingle to my scalp - so cooling! The lather is rich, and even without conditioner, my hair doesn't feel too stiff. I've definitely noticed less hair fall when using this shampoo. The fragrance is very subtle, leaving almost no scent after washing. Downsides? Well, let me think... there aren't any, really. None at all!
