I usually apply a thick layer of lip balm and then tint over it due to my dry lips. However, with this product, it's better to apply directly to bare lips for a more pronounced blurring effect, even if your lips feel dry. This method creates a more distinct gradient. Color payoff: True to its 'Blur Lip' name, I love how it naturally diffuses the lip line. The color seems to intensify slightly after a short while, becoming a deeper red with additional layers. Shade: It's reminiscent of a well-ripened tomato, slightly darker than terracotta - a shade that would likely complement warm skin tones beautifully. Although I have cool-toned skin, I fell in love with the color after one light application. However, applying two layers brings out a warmer red tone that might clash with cool undertones. Feel: I've tried various lip products - lipsticks, tints, tinted balms - but this is the first one that truly delivers on its promise of a blurring effect.
ConsIt's quite drying, which can accentuate lip flakiness. Applying it over lip balm diminishes its signature blurring effect. While some dryness is expected from a tint formula, it's still a bit disappointing.
TipFor the most flattering look, apply to the inner part of your lips and quickly blend outwards to create a gradient effect.

Lightweight The texture is somewhere between a water tint and a blurring tint. I don't usually like either, but this one strikes a great balance between the two. It applies lightly without feeling heavy. 2. Long-lasting stain Maybe because it's closer to a water tint, it stains really well!! I usually avoid lips that don't stain well since I have no natural lip color. It comes off with cleansing but still has good staying power - I'm very satisfied. 3. Color The color isn't trendy, but that's not a bad thing! In other words, it's classic. It's a red that suits both warm and cool tones, so I'd recommend it to anyone. 4. Pigmentation You can apply it sheer or build it up for more intensity, so it's very versatile. As a bonus, the applicator tip is soft but firm, which I love.
Cons1. Slight dryness Water tints and blurring tints tend to be drying. However, this isn't extremely drying. In fact, it's relatively moisturizing compared to others. It stains well, so you can always apply lip balm. That said, if you need lip balm year-round and your lips crack easily when dry, I should mention it might still feel a bit drying for you! 2. Packaging The white, lightweight container is nice, but I worry it could be disastrous if the tint leaks.
TipSince it stains so well, you can apply it generously over lip balm!

It seems to be a versatile packaging that would suit most tastes. Product Texture - The water-like texture feels amazing as it adheres perfectly to the lips! I had nasal surgery, which left both my mouth and lips extremely dry. But as soon as I applied this, it felt like my lip's dead skin cells just melted away! It seems to have the perfect texture for daily, fuss-free application. Color - While the color appears to be an intensely deep cherry shade in the packaging, once applied to the lips, it's not overpowering at all, which I actually preferred! When I first saw the color, I thought 'Oh no, that looks too intense,' but when I applied it to my bare lips, it looked absolutely stunning! Longevity - I found the staying power to be quite good! Although it does fade considerably after eating a meal, the color remains vibrant enough after drinking coffee or other beverages that you don't necessarily need to reapply. So, I'm satisfied with its longevity.
ConsBeing a water tint, it seems inevitable that it bleeds a little. Apart from that, it's fine.
TipPerhaps it's because water tints generally have such pretty colors, but I found it looks absolutely gorgeous when paired with a glossy lip product! If you find matte lips a bit boring, try layering this with a glossy lip product!

My natural lip color is quite pronounced, but a bit dull with darker edges. At first, I thought this would be too dark and intense, but even when applied alone on bare lips, it gives a natural, lively look! The color is a slightly toned-down red that would work well for daily wear on most skin tones, except perhaps light-muted ones, regardless of warm or cool undertones. The texture is watery, but it feels like there's a slight oil film when applying - smooth and lightweight, with a powder-like finish! Lip exfoliation is a must no matter what type of lip product you use. For those with very dry lips or who prefer a glossy finish, especially in winter, layering with a lip balm would be great. The scent is slightly tart... maybe wine-like? It's not amazing, but it didn't bother me much. I had to really focus on the scent when opening it again for this review... I'm not particularly sensitive to fragrances. The staying power isn't bad! After a light meal, you can still see a hint of color. It doesn't stay completely intact, but it leaves a nice tint.
ConsThere wasn't anything particularly bad... The only potential downside might be the scent? Personally, it didn't bother me much, so it was fine.
TipIf you find deep colors intimidating, try dabbing it just on the inner part of your lips and blending outwards. For a natural look, smudge and blend with a tinted lip balm that matches your skin tone. For a more made-up look, use a base lipstick in your tone and blend for a gradient effect. I recommend using a brush as it can stain your fingers! For tinted lips, it's best to stain bare lips first, then gradient, and adjust the intensity (reapply lightly if needed) - this improves longevity.

In my opinion, it should suit deep to light undertones well!! It's like a cherry pink with a drop of coral :) As long as you're not a deep warm autumn, this color should be universally flattering Texture: When applied, it has a watery, hydrating texture It dries quickly after application Those with very dry lips might experience some dead skin cell accentuation!! Layering a glossy product on top makes it absolutely gorgeous ;) Applicator: It's slightly wide and angled Easy to apply, but those with smaller lips should be careful not to overline
ConsAs mentioned earlier, it might be quite drying for those with dry lips
TipLayer a glossy product on top for that juicy, tanghulu-like lip look

As a Hwahae Tester review, I'll give my honest opinion! I was curious about this unfamiliar brand and wondered why a lip tint would be called a 'treatment'. After using it, I understood. Let me start with the positives: Application and texture - It applies very much like a water tint, feeling watery, thin, and moisturizing. However, after a short while, it becomes velvety matte, completely different from the initial application, yet not overly drying! Adherence - It adheres well to the lips immediately, making them feel very comfortable. You can experience a velvety matte lip without any floating sensation. Longevity and staining power - After trying this, I thought it would be perfect for summer water activities. The stain remains intact right after application. Due to its strong staining power that's hard to remove even with cleansing oil, it has excellent longevity. If this had come out during the pandemic, it probably would have been very popular.
ConsI'll also share some aspects I found disappointing: Color - This may vary individually, but the initial color reminded me of old-school tints like E*ude Dear D*rling. It's a red lip, but it applies in a way that feels different from current trends, which was a bit surprising. However, as time passed and it became matte, that feeling did fade! There are two other colors available, but the color range is narrow... I wish they would release more neutral shades.
TipIf you like a glossy lip, you can apply lip oil on top. It won't clump with the formula and creates a pretty look! For a more comfortable application, apply lip balm before the tint, wipe it off, then apply the tint. I recommend this for: People looking for a comfortable matte lip, Red lip lovers - it's a soul color, Those seeking a tint with good staining power and longevity.

It stains quickly, making it ideal for those who find their lip color fades easily. Recommended: Yes, for those who look great in warm tones and those seeking a long-lasting staining tint
ConsThe orange undertone didn't suit me personally, that's the only downside I experienced.
TipFor a pretty look, first apply the tint for a stain, then pat it with foundation, and layer with a complementary lip color.

Honestly, I thought the product quality might be lacking. However, after using it, I found the product to be quite good :) •The texture is the opposite of the trendy 'tanghulu lip' - it's more of a water tint that dries quickly. If you're looking for a moisturizing lip product, you might want to avoid this one. •It feels incredibly lightweight on the lips, doesn't emphasize dead skin cells at all, and has almost no scent, so I think it won't be too divisive. (The taste is nice too υ•ﻌ•υ) >>It's similar in color and texture to Benefit's Benetint •The color is a slightly dark cherry shade, which is really pretty
Cons-I think the swatches on the product page should be real photos. While the color is similar to the actual product, the texture and overall feel seem artificial in the swatch images
TipIf you apply a lip gloss over it, you can achieve a long-lasting 'tanghulu lip' effect

The pigmentation reminds me of a watercolor painting with flower dye, creating a natural and radiant makeup look. What's even better is that despite its water-based formula, it doesn't emphasize dead skin cells, which is fantastic!
ConsApart from the slightly disappointing staying power and the color being a bit challenging for cool-toned skin, I was quite satisfied with it!
TipThis would be perfect for a soft, subtle makeup look.

Putting on makeup every morning before work was just too much trouble. I often felt that just applying tint made my lips stand out awkwardly, so I'd go out with a bare face under my mask. But this product is perfect for those bare-faced days! Its water-based formula absorbs nicely into the lips, creating a natural stain. For a full makeup look, I think it would work great when lightly blended. Plus, it doesn't transfer, so you don't have to worry about it coming off when drinking water or eating. And this might just be my impression, but it seems to give a slight blurring effect that makes my lips look a bit fuller...? I'm absolutely thrilled with it!
ConsThere's nothing bad to say! As one of The Hwahae Testers, I wanted to write something constructive about potential downsides, but I honestly can't think of any... I'll definitely repurchase this product when I run out!! Please never discontinue it...
Tip1. Apply lightly on bare skin -> Creates a natural stain 2. Wear it for water activities -> No need to worry about it coming off as it doesn't transfer 3. Gently blend it all over when doing makeup -> Can act as a base Oh, and while it looks super pigmented when swatched on the back of your hand, it actually applies much more subtly on the lips as it stains! I was worried about looking overdone, but as long as you control the amount and blend well, you definitely won't end up with an exaggerated look!
