  When I use this along with my vitamin ampoule, I notice my skin looks brighter until the afternoon. The emulsion-like texture makes it absorb well, which is nice.

  Cons

  Maybe it's because of the shea butter, but the richness is too much even for my normal skin. Though it's not thick, the excessive oiliness seems to cause blemishes. My face feels suffocated.

  If you're thinking of trying it, I'd recommend those with normal to very oily skin to start using it in winter.

  My skin type is combination. I have been using the product for 2 weeks during the seasonal change, and my skin has been experiencing breakouts here and there! In the summer, I also thought it was important to apply a light lotion or cream after toner and essence to provide moisture and finish the routine, as my skin tends to get dehydrated. So I've tried various lotions and creams, and have become quite particular about them. This Cosrx Panthenol Lotion is definitely a convenient product to use, so I reach for it often and it applies nicely. 1. Since it's a pump bottle, I can dispense it directly onto my face without getting it on my hands, and it spreads easily. Plus, the lotion is on the thinner side, so it glides on smoothly. 2. Compared to the lotions I normally use, this one is on the thinner side. It has a similar consistency to a slightly viscous essence. After application, my skin feels refreshed, but the long-lasting plumpness is not there, so those with dry skin or those who need more nourishment and functionality may require additional care. That's why I found it worked best for me in the morning under sunscreen, as the lotion didn't interfere with the sunscreen application. In the evenings, as the weather got colder, my skin started to feel a bit dry, so this lotion alone wasn't quite enough. 3. Even with the breakouts I was experiencing, this product didn't have a significant impact, so I was satisfied with its gentleness. The main ingredient is panthenol, which helps strengthen the skin barrier, making it suitable for sensitive skin. 4. The fragrance-free formula didn't bother me, and since it's a vegan product with an eco-friendly packaging, I felt good using it.

My skin feels softer when I wash my face in the morning too. The scent is minimal, and the texture is neither too thin nor sticky, so it spreads easily.   ✗ As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to milia and texture issues in the T-zone, I found the finish wasn't as fresh as I'd like. While it's great for deep hydration, the rich finish was a bit much for me. Without careful application according to different areas of the face, it could potentially cause more milia. (I considered deducting a star for this, but realized it might vary depending on skin type, and the product does fulfill its intended purpose of intense moisturization.)

  As someone who sweats a lot, this summer was incredibly tough for me. In the heat, my face would turn beet red and be drenched in sweat. Conversely, when it gets a bit cooler, my skin becomes so dry that my makeup sometimes flakes and pills. That's why I prefer products with decent hydration even in summer, and the Cosnori Panthenol Barrier Emulsion feels moisturizing right from the moment you apply it! While it might not be ideal on its own, I think it would work great with a hydrating cream on top! It has more of a rich feel than a watery one, which might not be for everyone... but with its skin barrier protection and nourishing properties, there's no reason not to use it! Some personal highlights for me include: 🍀 Pump bottle design Emulsions can be inconvenient in tube packaging, but this pump makes it easy to control the amount and is more hygienic - I love it! 🍀 It's so comfortable to apply when your skin is dry! The texture is somewhere between a thick cream and an emulsion, but it's neither too light nor too heavy - it's just right! And despite my expectations, it's barely sticky at all!

  Cons

  However, it is a bit stickier than most emulsions, and it feels more rich than hydrating (as someone who usually only uses moisturizer...), so I'll probably end up using it mostly before bed. The texture is a bit thick, so it takes a little time to absorb into the skin. But the effort pays off - the more thoroughly you apply it, the less tight your face feels the next day!
