I've been using matte lipsticks with lip balm on top for a long time because I don't like excessive shine, but this one is quite nice. It has a moderate glow without being overwhelming. After wearing it for a while, it feels like it's drying out. The glow diminishes and my lips feel tight. The color is like holding a cherry, it seemed too red, but when applied to the lips, the natural color development is great for daily use or creating a gradient. Since it's a glow product, it brightens the face when applied, and it's great to swipe on when you don't have time for a full lip routine! The natural staining effect makes it even better for daily use. It's moisturizing and has great color payoff. The staying power could be a bit better though. It feels like it dries quickly... It's not exactly dry, but it gives the appearance of being dry.

The color reminds me of water-soaked cherries or apples. While it looked intense and a bit flashy when swatched on the back of my hand, it actually brightens my lips naturally when applied. I love that it leaves a subtle stain too. The glossy formula makes the color appear clearer and more radiant. It seems suitable for both warm and cool skin tones, and the hydration lasts quite long without emphasizing dead skin cells. You can create a beautiful gradient effect using Berry Core alone, and it's perfect for adding a pop of color over your usual base lip product. There's nothing particularly disappointing about it, though it does feel a tad pricey.
