As the weather warms up, I've been diligently applying sunscreen, and I recently tried the Plant Nation Sun Gel Emulsion, which turned out to be surprisingly good. I wanted to share my experience.

It might be a bit heavy for those with oily skin. For combination dehydrated skin, it's decent but not amazing.

This sunscreen has a milky texture but doesn't really provide any brightening effect. However, I've been using Skinfood sunscreen since middle school without any irritation, so I always buy it when it's on sale at Olive Young. It's great because it doesn't show up on the skin when applied.

My skin:
- Combination dehydrated, but gets oily around the nose and forehead in the afternoon
- Dry on the cheeks and jawline, prone to whiteheads and small blemishes if I slack on hydration
- Some redness and acne pigmentation
- Hormonal, temperamental skin
- Enjoys outdoor activities, with a complexion between 23-24 shade

It's fine when you first use it, but after a few weeks, it starts to develop a funky smell

I highly recommend mixing this with your foundation. When applied, it goes on thin and moisturizing, then adheres well to the skin while leaving a soft, matte finish.

If I had to point out a downside, it's that the container is made of thick plastic, which makes me wonder if we'll be able to squeeze out every last drop like you can with a tube-type package.

As someone with sensitive skin and my boyfriend with extremely dry skin, we've been using this for about 4 months together. The application is wonderfully moisturizing and smooth, with absolutely no white cast, stickiness, or greasiness - it truly feels like you're not wearing anything at all. It's gentle enough that my sensitive skin doesn't feel any irritation, and it's hydrating enough that my boyfriend's very dry face doesn't flake or develop dead skin cells.

Mix it with a bit of concealer before school and apply. It truly makes me look radiant at school!
