The formula has a rich texture that absorbs well into the skin. True to its "sun milk" name, it has a fluid consistency that glides on smoothly, just like real milk. It has a unique texture that gives a glow to the skin while feeling slightly dry, perfect for combination dehydrated skin. Even though I have oily skin, it felt a bit drying, so make sure to layer on plenty of hydration underneath. There's a slight white cast, which I found useful as a foundation substitute during lazy summer days when I didn't want to bother with makeup. I didn't experience any blemishes or irritation from using this product. The product is too runny, making it difficult to set properly... No matter how diligently you apply it, it tends to streak before it sets, leaving an uneven appearance. I bought this brightening moisturizer with SPF for quick morning prep, but having to wait for it to set was inconvenient. It provides light coverage for pores, but there's slight pilling in areas with larger pores or eyelid creases. Due to its formulation for combination dehydrated skin, it can feel drying. While it gives a glowy appearance on the surface, it leaves the skin feeling parched underneath - a case of that "Inner Glow" effect. Your skin might look great on the outside, but it feels dry deep down. You'll need to layer on plenty of hydration beforehand. - ji*****Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 9, 2025
- ko********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJun 6, 2025
As someone with sensitive skin, I was on the hunt for the gentlest option possible, and I'm pleased with this one. The best part? No skin reactions! There's a bit of pilling around the nose area. It's manageable if you roll it in well, though. The scent is a bit... off-putting. It's like baby vomit or sour milk... For those with super sensitive skin, finding a product that doesn't cause irritation is a big win. While this one seems to fit the bill in terms of gentleness, the pilling issue and unpleasant smell are drawbacks to consider. The scent might be particularly bothersome for those who are sensitive to fragrances. Despite these minor issues, it appears to be a decent option for those prioritizing skin compatibility over other factors. - md*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedApr 17, 2025
It's non-irritating and waterproof, yet it feels like it cleanses thoroughly even with just one wash When I wear it for more than 12 hours, I get the feeling that blemishes might be forming I recommend cleansing before the 12-hour mark on days when you apply this sunscreen - sy******Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 13, 2025
This is my second bottle of this sunscreen. I have super sensitive skin and severe deep dryness, so I'm usually very cautious when buying skincare products. But this one is incredibly gentle and hydrating! There's no white cast at all, and it feels so refreshing! The essence-like texture makes it easy to apply. I highly recommend it for those with dry skin! Those with oily skin might find it a bit heavy. Also, remember to shake the bottle a few times before using it for the first time! - ch******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedMar 12, 2025
Absorbs well and gentle enough for combination dehydrated skin without causing blemishes Tends to settle into creases around the nose and eyelid folds (wrinkles), and absorbs more slowly compared to the blue version - ha********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJan 8, 2025
When applying, there's a slight white cast initially, but once fully absorbed, it gives a subtle brightening effect. Unlike Anessa's gold Perfect Milk with its powdery finish, the Mild Milk leaves a bit more of a glow, making it great to use before makeup. If you're looking for a matte finish, you might find the slight glow a bit bothersome. - ca**********Oily SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedSep 10, 2024
I've been using this product for years. I feel uneasy without it, that's how much I rely on it. It's a physical-chemical sunscreen hybrid, similar to Anessa's gold product, but much less irritating. The absorption is good, though Anessa's gold version is slightly better (due to the alcohol content). However, for sensitive skin, there's nothing quite like this. It's incredibly gentle, and you can trust its UV protection. I didn't get any tan even while playing in the water under the scorching Southeast Asian sun. In years of use, I've never had any blemishes from it. I use this product year-round, except in the dead of winter. As it's a hybrid sunscreen, it provides a slight brightening effect, but it can clump a bit if you sweat a lot. However, this is something you might experience with any sunscreen, so it's not really a significant issue. - 84********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresAug 25, 2024
The strong UV protection is great for times when the sun is intense. If your face doesn't sweat much, this seems to work well! I'm prone to blemishes from poorly chosen sunscreens, but this one didn't cause any breakouts. As someone with a sweaty face, this sunscreen leaves white patches when I perspire... It's disappointing since I had high hopes. Now I'm just using it on my arms to avoid waste. While it didn't cause blemishes, the product feels a bit rich. I've gone back to repurchasing my usual sunscreen.
