This helps to neutralize the overly vivid lip that was hard to apply. I usually use Hwahae, but I don't recommend using Hwahae. The blurring tint that I have as a base seems to be smearing... It seems to work well with matte lips. Apply it as thinly as possible!! You must spread it on evenly and adhere it as closely as you can. - zb******Dry SkinSensitive SkinMay 16, 2025
The lip color definitely killed it, so the other lip colors applied really well. I'm not sure what ingredient is causing it, but whenever I apply it, blisters and swelling form on my lips, and I can't use it anymore. ㅜ.ㅜ - sm***********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 3, 2025
Absolutely killer as a base when you want to tone down your natural lip color It tends to emphasize dead skin cells on the lips, so you need to exfoliate before applying Works great as a base layer - 9g********Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 23, 2025
When you use a cushion to neutralize lip color before applying lipstick, it often cakes up and looks like dead skin cells, and the color doesn't fade well. However, with a blur tint, it's like applying a gray tint and then layering another tint on top, so it doesn't look like flaky skin. Applying it before your lip color dramatically lowers the saturation, which I'd recommend for those with muted complexions. Even if you don't have a muted skin tone, it's great for anyone who prefers less saturated colors. The biggest advantage I found is that with a blur tint, you don't need to buy multiple tints to achieve various colors - you can create diverse shades with just one product! It was all good except for the fact that it tends to cake up on lips with dead skin cells. - wl********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 22, 2025
My lips are naturally quite pigmented, so I usually apply cushion foundation to tone them down before using tint. However, that often left a whitish cast. I decided to try this base lip product to reduce the intensity of my lip color, and I'm so much happier with the results! It's really satisfying. There's nothing I'm particularly disappointed with. I'm very satisfied! If you're looking for a base lip product, I definitely recommend giving this a try. - tf********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedJan 17, 2025
💬Honest and detailed review - purchased with my own money💬 <Quick Summary>📌 ✔️Minimal emphasis on dead skin cells and wrinkles, with a powdery texture that feels decent. A holy grail for those with dark or dull lip color as it provides good coverage. For others, it's just okay. Useful for toning down the saturation of vibrant base lip colors. <About Me>📌 ✔️Naturally pigmented lips ✔️Some lip wrinkles and dead skin cells <Product>📌 ✔️Application: For this type of formula, it doesn't accentuate wrinkles or dead skin cells much. Slight transfer, so amount control is crucial. Might cake if you apply too much. ✔️Texture: Very powdery and pleasant feel. Matte finish. ✔️Scent: Only detectable if you smell very closely - a slight sweetness that isn't bothersome. ✔️Color: Expected a nude shade, but it appears slightly reddish and darker than anticipated when viewed. However, when applied to hands or lips, it has a grayish undertone and is cooler than expected. <The actual color is very similar to the last photo> <Repurchase Intention/Overall Review>📌 ✔️Bought it for overlining as I like that look, and it's not bad for covering the natural lip line. It's purely for coverage, not a base. In the lip photos, the 3rd shows this product with my usual tint on top, while the 4th shows just my usual tint application. You can clearly see how it evens out the color and reduces saturation. While there's a noticeable difference, I personally don't have much pigmentation or darkness on my lips, so I don't see a need to repurchase. ✔️Overall rating: 4.0/5.0 <Drawbacks> ✔️No issues with the product itself. People who don't need lip coverage probably don't need to buy this. - ss*********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 25, 2024
My lips naturally have a bluish tint, but this product completely neutralized that color. When I applied lipstick on top, the color payoff was amazing. My lips are usually dry with dead skin cells, but this filled in all the flaky bits. I'll definitely repurchase! The inner part feels slightly sticky. However, after continuously spreading it with my fingers, it became more comfortable. It's not a major issue. - nv***Dry SkinInner DrynessRednessRecommendedDec 19, 2024
This seems to be the least brown-tinted cement lip product on the market. When used as a base, it transforms even the most vivid lip colors into elegantly muted shades. I'm absolutely thrilled with how versatile it is for different occasions! There's honestly nothing I found disappointing about this product. - sj*******Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 6, 2024
While it may show a bit of dead skin cells on the lips, it's hardly noticeable when you apply another lip product over it! When you use this as a base and then apply those bold colors you've been hesitant to wear, it blends naturally and looks beautiful. Don't apply this when your lips are dry.. You need to moisturize your lips first, then wipe them gently before applying this product. - qh******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 5, 2024
Unique color payoff. When used as a base, it becomes more muted and subdued. Recommended for those with naturally red lips or dark lip lines who struggle to achieve their desired lip color. Extremely rich texture with minimal hydration. Applies with great adherence when using a small amount spread thinly with a brush. As I have naturally dry lips and it's a matte formula, some dryness is inevitable. Seems to be available only at Hwahae. Beautiful when mixed with blush. However, the texture is a bit clumpy, making it somewhat challenging to blend evenly on the cheeks.
