While the application feels a bit stiff, it seems gentle on the skin. No blemishes and it's suitable for oily skin types. It tends to clump if applied hastily. Although it can leave a white cast, careful application results in a natural look. - ms*****Normal SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMar 31, 2025
I bought this vegan product for my mother since it's suitable for the whole family. My mother says it's easy to apply and doesn't leave her skin feeling dry, so she's quite satisfied. My spouse recommended it because there's no white cast despite being a mineral sunscreen, and my mother agrees. However, while my spouse with dry skin finds it fine, my mother mentions it feels slightly oily. It seems to be a sunscreen with a rich texture that works hard to protect the skin. You should consider your skin type and the season when using this product. This sunscreen might be best for those with combination dehydrated skin or during colder months when extra moisture is needed. It could be perfect for achieving that Inner Glow look, but those with super sensitive skin or concerns about pores might want to patch test first. - jh*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedDec 30, 2024
1. It's not drying. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it doesn't leave your skin feeling parched. While it might be a bit heavy for oily skin, those with dry to combination dehydrated skin will find it suitable as a winter sunscreen. 2. The white cast isn't too severe. Considering it's a mineral sunscreen, some white cast is expected, but it's not extreme. If you apply it in multiple thin layers and blend well, it can give a slight brightening effect. 3. As advertised, it's easy to wash off. Compared to other mineral sunscreens, it leaves less residue even when cleansed with just a mild alkaline foam cleanser. 1. It tends to clump. The white cream comes out in small particles mixed with the essence, which can leave white patches when spreading. You need to pat it in carefully. 2. To make the white cast look natural, you need to pat it in for a really long time. This can be quite annoying, especially during busy mornings. If you find double cleansing bothersome, massaging your face for about 2 minutes with a mild alkaline foam cleanser can effectively remove this sunscreen. - ko*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 9, 2024
It absorbs smoothly and the ingredients seem pretty good. I didn't find any major drawbacks. There's just a slight white cast when you first apply it, but it's barely noticeable. - bl******Dry SkinSensitive SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedNov 13, 2024
1. Texture It feels refreshing. Some mineral sunscreens can be quite drying, but this one has a light emulsion texture that applies smoothly. It's refreshing without being overly drying. It spreads easily and comfortably. 2. Scent There's a very slight tangy smell, but it's not unpleasant. 3. Eye irritation Unlike some non-white cast products that can sting the eyes, this one doesn't cause any irritation. I'm extremely sensitive to sunscreens and have experienced many that made my eyes water profusely. However, this product caused no eye irritation whatsoever. *Overall impression Sunscreen is practically a daily essential like tissues or shampoo, so we need to consider not just the ingredients and potential eye irritation, but also the price point. This product has great ingredients, causes no eye irritation, offers excellent UV protection, and even helps protect coral reefs! And on top of all that, it's affordably priced!!! I highly, highly recommend it! There's not really anything to complain about. Perhaps it would be even better if it had no scent at all. If you have dry skin, it might be good to apply a moisturizer along with this sunscreen. - im*********Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJul 17, 2024
The best part was that it's a washable product, so it can be removed with just soap without needing a separate second cleanse. It's not heavy on the neck, and its thin consistency makes it easy to spread on the body too. Above all, I used it when I had contact dermatitis, and my skin improved a lot since I stopped doing a second cleanse after using this product. The white cast is really reasonable, not too severe but just right! Also, I checked the oil content by placing it on oil blotting paper (left it for 10 hours), and I could confirm it contains less oil. It's a product with abundant hydration, so it's comfortable to apply. It seemed to provide excellent UV protection, and with its moisturizing formula, it was perfect for my oily skin when I just applied toner and then this product. First of all, it's sticky. It has a moisturizing finish so that's understandable, but the problem is when you layer sunscreen or makeup on top, it oddly pills and slides around. So it feels like your bare skin is showing through...? However, for babies or people who don't wear makeup, this minor pilling isn't noticeable, so it's fine. And true to its easy-washable nature... compared to products that require a second cleanse, it naturally has less adherence. It's not suitable for those who want a flawless skin finish + good combination with foundation. It's a product that's good for extremely sensitive skin / contact dermatitis / babies with delicate skin. It's really gentle. I felt this product would be good for people like me with seborrheic dermatitis or for young children. Or it's really ideal as a body sunscreen. It's convenient because even if it gets on your clothes while applying it to your body, it all washes out when you do laundry. - mo*****Combination SkinWrinkles/ElasticityRednessJul 14, 2024
Fragrance-free and a great deal during buy-one-get-one-free sales. It doesn't dry out the skin and leaves no white cast. The texture is similar to a sun milk, slightly runny, making it a bit tricky to apply. You need to spread it carefully as it tends to slip around. It leaves a noticeable shine and, most importantly, it's extremely sticky, which makes it uncomfortable to wear. - pa******Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityJun 8, 2024
Missha sunscreen is such great value that I stock up on multiple bottles during sales and use them liberally! I usually prefer essence-type sunscreens, so I decided to try this new one. I love the high-quality ingredients, and it's great that it applies smoothly without leaving a white cast!!! I typically apply it before makeup, but I noticed my makeup slightly pilling on top of it. While I like the overall feel and application, that aspect is a bit disappointing. - go*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedApr 23, 2024
I think Missha is a hidden champion when it comes to sun protection products! For the past 5 years, I've been using their Essence Sun when the chilly winds blow, and their Aqua Sun when the weather heats up. I must have gone through nearly 20 bottles! So when I heard Missha came out with a vegan product, I had to try it. Here's my review after using it for exactly 3 weeks! First off, when used alone, it provides a natural brightening effect, probably due to a slight white cast. It's also great for applying around the eyes - no stinging or tearing up, so you can thoroughly cover the eye area without worry! However, there's one major drawback... it gets incredibly greasy as the day goes on. I started using it as the weather warmed up, and by lunchtime, I need to use at least three oil blotting sheets. While this might be fine for those with dry skin, I found the afternoon shine quite challenging to deal with. This isn't a sun protection product that leaves a matte finish, so if you dislike your hair sticking to your face, it might be a good idea to finish with some powder!
