It's not drying and keeps the skin hydrated.
ConsPersonally, I found the scent too strong. When first applying, the intense fragrance was quite bothersome.

The soft, inverted container with a pump dispenser makes it really convenient to use. The pump itself is smooth too. The absorbs well is excellent, comparable to most hydrating moisturizers. When you apply it, it feels incredibly soft and hydrating. It adheres well to the skin, spreading thinly and evenly without feeling sticky. Cleansing is also effective. When I used plenty of cleansing foam and scrubbed thoroughly, it all washed off. Given that I have super sensitive skin and had no issues, it seems to cleanse properly (I use a low pH cleansing foam). The staying power is decent, and it gives you that coveted Inner Glow look when applied. It slightly evens skin tone too, leaving a dewy yet matte finish. This is my first time trying organic UV filters, and I can apply it gently around my eyes without any stinging. It doesn't cause any blemishes at all, and I love how hydrating it feels.
ConsWhile the scent isn't unpleasant, it is quite strong. It's noticeable enough that when you take off your mask briefly after applying and put it back on, you can really smell it. Even the next day when I wore the mask again, there was still a slight lingering scent (I noticed that after some time, the original scent develops a slightly sweet note?).
TipIf you hold the container up to a strong light source (e.g., a desk lamp at maximum brightness), you can see through it to check how much sunscreen is left inside.

Here's what I liked: 1. Application: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The lightweight texture makes it easy to apply. It's perfect for using as a base before makeup. Since it's hydrating, I think it would work well if you layer it a few times before applying makeup. (I usually apply all sunscreens twice anyway!) 2. Finish: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I expected it to be moisturizing since it's a sun serum, but the finish is surprisingly matte! With other sunscreens, I always had to use powder before makeup because they made my skin look oily. But Dear Dahlia's sun serum applies smoothly and leaves a matte finish.
Cons1. I'm a bit disappointed by the typical cosmetic scent. 2. I couldn't really notice the brightening effect. Although the product has a pink tint, once applied, it only gives a slight glow. I can't say it noticeably brightened my complexion. 3. I wish it was a bit more affordable.
TipThe Dear Dahlia sun serum tends to leave a matte finish! To avoid pilling, it's best to let your skincare and sunscreen absorb before applying makeup. However, if you're in a hurry and need to apply makeup right after the sun serum, I recommend using powder only on oily areas before proceeding with your makeup routine.
