The Hince Skin Airy Powder is just the thing. With its lightweight, airy particles that don't cake on the skin, and the special dual-coated powder, this setting powder helps lock in my initial makeup look. Just a light dusting on top after finishing my makeup prevents any breakdown and controls oil👍🏻😵 The color-correcting effect also gives a smooth, even-toned look without making my face look puffy☺️ And the packaging...! The case is so pretty - simple and clean, with a lovely pink-purple hue that makes me feel like a princess. I'm no longer envious of my niece's play makeup set!🩷🎀
ConsThere's a slight slippage or caking, and my oil and flaky skin are accentuated, so I think I applied it too thickly.
TipAs with all powders, using too much or applying it too heavily can emphasize flakiness, and using it on top of dewy products can cause slippage. A light, tapping application seems to be just right.

My nose is oily, but my cheeks are dry. I tried applying powder on one side, and then using the Hince cushion on the other side, and the pore coverage is the best among the powders I've used. 👍🏻 Pore Coverage: Without applying the cushion, the tone looks refined, and even up close, the pores are truly the best. 👍🏻 Blemish Coverage: When used with the cushion, the blemish coverage is also very good - it covers freckles and redness very well. Without the cushion, the coverage is much weaker, and the redness is still visible, but it looks slightly blurred. 👍🏻 Oil Control: This will be great in the summer! The oil on my nose is less than other powders, and the touch-ups don't clump up at all! 👍🏻 Texture: Very fine and smooth, and since it's a skin-colored powder, there's no white cast. The fine particles mean less clumping, and I recommend patting it on. ♥ For those sensitive to scents, it's unscented! The cushion is also soft and fluffy, so it's easy to dab and tap on. 👍🏻 Brightening: Even without the cushion, it looks brightening, and after applying the cushion, the brightening effect is very subtle but makes the skin look more refined.
Cons👎🏻 Dryness: Even with my skincare routine, I still feel a bit of dryness on my cheeks. (But it's a total must-have in the summer!) 👎🏻 Caking: Since it's a cushion formula, not a powder you brush on, if you apply too much or press too hard, it can cake a bit. 👎🏻 Touch-ups: Like all powders, there can be some clumping when touching up, so you shouldn't apply too much initially.
Tip🍯Tip: If you're using the Hince Second Skin Massy Matte Cushion like me, I'd recommend combining it with a less matte product to help with the dryness. Make sure to have a strong skincare routine as the base! For touch-ups, always dab and tap, never press or swipe.
