I thought it would be extremely drying, but it wasn't as dehydrating as I expected.
ConsI received this as a birthday gift, but I was shocked to find out the ingredients weren't good. Using this causes blemishes on my skin.

Cons✔️Dryness When skincare is applied lightly, it can feel dry and lift slightly ✔️Color Initially might seem a bit bright, but settles into a nicely radiant complexion over time

I have combination dehydrated skin (quite oily), thick skin with a bit of redness, and no blemishes on my face but a few acne scars. I bought this because it's supposed to be good for combination dehydrated skin. I didn't notice any severe breakdown of the product, nor did it feel too dry. Even after using it with a fixer, I didn't experience any lifting or major breakdown. When I was out for about 9 hours, I only needed to touch up maybe twice, usually after meals. The adherence was fantastic for me - I think I'll keep using it. The coverage was great too, hiding all my scars (though it couldn't quite cover my severe dark circles...).
ConsFirst off, it's a bit tricky to apply. I'm used to liquid foundations, so cushions are challenging for me (using a cushion spatula helps...). There's no textured area on the side of the cushion to dispense product, which is disappointing considering the price.
TipIf you're like me and used to liquid foundations (especially if you use a spatula), try applying this with a small cushion spatula. It works much better that way. Also, remember to apply it in very thin layers... seriously, use just a little bit at a time.

Despite its semi-matte finish, it feels comfortable without any tightness or dryness. To be honest, the distinction between semi-matte and semi-glow finishes in cushions these days is quite subtle. There might be slight differences, but anyway, the Hera Black Cushion falls into the semi-matte category. It applies thinly on the skin, and compared to before, it blends even better. It doesn't set too quickly, so the more you pat and blend with the puff, the more beautiful the skin looks. The coverage is medium to high, though it doesn't completely conceal dark spots or blemishes. It adheres well to the skin, preventing messy breakdown and maintaining its finish nicely throughout the day. It's definitely become more user-friendly compared to previous versions. I'd say it's a cushion that even beginners can use without much risk of messing up.
ConsAs expected, the price is on the higher side. While not as expensive as some international brands, it's still pricey. It's great that you can purchase it on Hwahae (using coupons or reward points). I bought 13N1, the lightest shade, but it's not extremely light. It's bright enough for those who prefer a light 21 shade complexion. If you have very fair skin and typically use the palest shades, you might find the color range a bit disappointing.

While I do need to reapply a layer around my nose area after a few hours, it's currently the cushion I carry around the most. It's my absolute favorite!
ConsI've been using it for about a month, and so far I haven't found any shortcomings.
TipIf you want a bit of glow, try spritzing some Dalba mist after your makeup application.

It's matte but doesn't cause deep dryness, making it perfect for use all year round. I'm currently on my fourth container!
ConsUnfortunately, it really clings to my skin where I have blemishes, dead skin cells, and uneven texture. It breaks down quickly too, though I suppose that's the case with other cushions as well. Since it's not a dewy, hydrating cushion, this matte formula tends to deteriorate faster when your skin isn't in the best condition.
TipThe puff works incredibly well with this product. It gives a really firm, bouncy application.

When I heard it was reformulated, I decided to repurchase it. After reading various reviews, I bought it despite hearing that while it's less drying now, the coverage has decreased. I tend to agree with that assessment. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, matte products usually make my skin feel tight, but this one, while not particularly hydrating, doesn't cause that uncomfortable tightness, so it's okay. I usually use shades 13 to 17, and I like that the Black Cushion runs lighter. In comparison, the Hera Skin Radiant Glow Cushion in shade 13 is more like a 17-19, which didn't give me that bright look, so I ended up giving it to my mom. I compared the color with other cushions I've used recently. Blanc Diva is the lightest, while the Black Cushion and TheLab are similar in shade. The main difference is that the Black Cushion is matte, while TheLab is more hydrating.
ConsFirst off, I didn't like the puff, so I switched to a different one after just one day of use. It felt like it was removing moisture rather than adding it. It seemed to make my skin feel dry, and I didn't find the application particularly smooth. I usually think the included puff works best with its product, but not in this case. The darkening effect varied from day to day. I'm not sure if it depended on my skincare routine, but some days it was fine, while other days I'd notice darkening when I got home. That being said, the darkening wasn't severe. I'm sensitive to stearic acid and usually get blemishes when using products containing it. Even though it's listed towards the end of the ingredients, I still noticed a few small blemishes popping up. It's not enough to be a major concern, so I'll continue using it for now. To be fair, I get blemishes even with products that don't contain stearic acid, so it's hard to say for sure.
