Excellent coverage I have less-than-perfect skin, so I prefer products with high coverage. That's why I've repurchased this N times. Even in the photo, where my skin was rough and not at its best after heavy drinking the night before, it still managed to look decent. I usually go for matte foundations with good coverage (I used to be a die-hard foundation fan), but this is the only product I can use comfortably without foundation. Flawless skin finish This goes hand in hand with the coverage. Usually, high coverage can make skin look cakey, but this gives a clean finish. I recently bought the latest version after the renewal, and I've heard the new formula gives an even better skin finish. Long-lasting I didn't notice any darkening or significant breakdown. My skin tends to get flaky, and makeup usually balls up and breaks down over time, but with the Black Cushion, only the area around my nose gets a bit messy late at night. Overall, it maintains a clean look. It's not so much about staying pretty as it is about not breaking down. The Black Cushion tends to have high saturation and a darker color. I received shade 17 as a gift, which was a bit dark for me. It might look more natural as my complexion darkens in the summer. The product being discussed is likely a cushion foundation, specifically one called "Black Cushion". It's praised for its high coverage, clean finish, and long-lasting properties, making it suitable for those with blemishes or uneven skin texture. The reviewer notes that it performs well even in challenging conditions (like after a night of heavy drinking) and doesn't break down significantly throughout the day. However, they caution that the shades may run dark, so color matching is important. The product seems to be particularly good for those who prefer high coverage without a cakey finish. - bc****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedJun 22, 2025
The staying power was fantastic and the way it faded was so beautiful. The coverage is really good too! Make sure to try it when it's on sale. The shade seems to come out darker compared to other cushions, so be sure to see it in person before buying! It can feel a bit thick when applied, so controlling the amount is absolutely essential. When it comes to this cushion foundation, its longevity is impressive and it wears off gracefully. The coverage is excellent, making it a must-try during sales. However, be cautious about the shade as it tends to be darker than expected. It's crucial to test it in person before purchasing. Also, the texture can be quite rich, so remember to use a light hand when applying to avoid a heavy look. - nf********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 21, 2025
First off, I'm thrilled with this cushion foundation! The coverage is excellent, and it's the matte finish I adore. The scent is also right up my alley. I honestly want to recommend this cushion to everyone out there! To be frank, there's not much to complain about. The only slight disappointment is that the amount of product seems a bit on the smaller side. This cushion foundation ticks all the boxes for me. It provides great coverage, has a beautiful matte finish, and even smells delightful. It's so good that I feel compelled to spread the word about it. The only minor drawback I noticed is that the quantity might be a tad less than expected. But overall, it's a fantastic product that I believe many would enjoy using. - bi******Combination SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 19, 2025
Perfect for my shade 19 skin! It's great for use during humid summers. The price difference during promotions can be significant. Make sure to keep an eye out for deals before purchasing. This review highlights the product's suitability for specific skin tones and seasonal use, while also noting the importance of timing purchases to take advantage of promotional pricing. - la*****Dry SkinSensitive SkinInner DrynessRecommendedJun 16, 2025
Hmm, the texture seems to change slightly depending on the weather. The skin finish also varies based on your condition. I'd recommend this as a daily semi-matte cushion. I wasn't too fond of the puff. Puffs have their own texture and feel, but this one didn't glide well on the skin and the overall sensation wasn't great. The cushion foundation adapts to different conditions, offering versatile coverage. While the product itself is commendable, the applicator puff could use some improvement for a better application experience. - he****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 15, 2025
Even for those with dry skin who layer on hydrating skincare in summer, this Black Cushion is a go-to favorite. As humidity rises and true summer approaches, if I had to recommend just one cushion foundation from now until midsummer, this Black Cushion would be my top pick without hesitation. I typically prioritize skin texture over coverage when choosing foundations and cushions, preferring sheer, translucent finishes. Before the reformulation, I hesitated to buy this due to its matte finish and noticeable thickness, despite its good coverage. However, after reading numerous reviews about its improved lightweight feel and sufficient coverage even with a thinner texture, I decided to give the new Black Cushion a try. Since last year's relaunch, it's become my reliable summer cushion. Alternating with Hera's Silky Stay Foundation, I find that even a light layer of this cushion in summer provides beautiful skin expression and, most importantly, a natural color that enhances skin texture. I'm once again satisfied with the results. Application methods may vary, but as someone who invests in thorough skincare, I prefer gently patting it on. This prevents disturbing my skincare layers underneath. While spreading it doesn't disrupt my skincare either, I find that patting helps with pore coverage and gives a beautifully airbrushed effect. Although I generally prefer traditional foundations for their finish, this reformulated Black Cushion is perfect for touch-ups and has become my go-to summer cushion, even on days when I start with liquid foundation. Since I prefer a sheer application and mainly use it in summer, I'll need to be diligent about frequent application to use up the entire product before the season ends! For a natural makeup look with this high-coverage product, I recommend starting with the cheeks, then adjusting the amount as needed before applying to the mouth area, forehead, and chin. Of course, touch-ups are necessary after eating or drinking! - v7********Normal SkinRecommendedJun 15, 2025
I'm absolutely obsessed! The skin finish is gorgeous, and everyone keeps asking me what cushion I'm using. It's seriously so beautiful! There's absolutely nothing to dislike about this product. It's flawless in every way! The enthusiastic tone and colloquial language have been maintained while adapting the text to sound more natural in English. The emphasis on the product's popularity and beauty has been preserved. - su**********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 10, 2025
This matte cushion is perfect for combination dehydrated skin. It offers excellent coverage and comes in beautiful shades! The staying power is also quite good. For me, it didn't look great with a quick application. I recommend using it when you're taking the time to do your makeup carefully. - ch*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedJun 8, 2025
The Black Cushion has excellent coverage, which keeps me coming back for more. It's particularly great for those with cool undertones. You need to apply it thinly and evenly. If not applied correctly, it can settle into fine lines and look patchy. This cushion foundation requires some skill to apply properly, but when done right, it provides a flawless finish. For best results, use a light hand and build coverage gradually where needed. Those with cool-toned skin will especially appreciate its color match. - da*******Combination SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 7, 2025
In the past, a sunscreen with brightening properties was enough to provide some coverage, but now I find that cream alone doesn't hide my blemishes! I was hesitant to use just any foundation, so I've been trying cushions from various brands to find the perfect one. At first, I thought I'd settle on the Espoir cushion, but the way it sat on my skin bothered me. So, despite the higher price tag, I decided to try the Hera cushion that everyone raves about! Even with a discount, it still costs over 60,000 won, which is quite steep. But the all-black cushion compact looks sleek and stylish, and it provides excellent coverage. I'm really impressed! However, I've found that the most crucial factor is how you prep your skin and set your makeup. I start by gently wiping my face with toner-soaked cotton pads, following my skin's texture. Then I apply a bit of serum for hydration, followed by just enough moisturizer. I use a sponge to pat the areas around my eyes and eyebrows where I don't want excess oil (this removes any excess cream). Next, I apply sunscreen and again pat my eyes and eyebrows with a sponge. I spritz on a makeup fixer all over my face and let it dry. Then I apply the cushion foundation in gentle patting motions for even coverage, followed by another layer of fixer. After this routine, I find my complexion stays flawless for much longer. I have combination skin, so my T-zone tends to get oily after a while, but a quick pat of solid no-sebum powder leaves my skin perfectly matte. The finish is somewhat matte, which can feel a bit dry in winter. In summer, it might separate slightly if you sweat a lot. I wish they'd release a summer version! Still, in terms of coverage, this is hands down the best cushion I've tried. * Pro tip: With Hera cushions, I recommend buying one shade lighter than you think you need! The price is really the only downside... I wonder if it's expensive because of all the great ingredients that provide such good coverage, or if we're paying for the brand name along with the excellent coverage. Either way, aside from the cost, it's a fantastic cushion!
