The price is justified by its excellent coverage and staying power. Any areas that need a bit more coverage can be perfectly concealed with a touch of concealer. While the longevity is impressive, it's best to set it with powder. Removing excess oil helps boost its staying power. Even when it starts to fade, it does so gracefully. It starts off matte but develops a natural glow over time, making it suitable for those with dry skin too. I think many people will make this their go-to foundation once they try it. The cushion's scent might be divisive. I didn't mind it, but a friend of mine wasn't a fan. Also, it tends to run a bit darker than other cushions, so I'd recommend going one shade lighter than usual. For best results, exfoliate to remove dead skin cells, then apply a hydrating sheet mask before makeup application. It's a well-rounded cushion that excels in every aspect. Even when I try other products out of boredom, I always come back to this one, missing its quality. While it's not the cheapest option, instead of buying multiple cushions in the 20,000 won range from Olive Young, give this one a try. You won't regret it! There's absolutely nothing to complain about. The only downside might be the price, but that's expected from Hera. The only thing that suffers is my bank account. No special tips needed. Why? ✔️Adherence: Compared to other cushions, this one has excellent adherence and doesn't lift off easily! You can do much less touch-ups, and when you do need to touch up, it's much easier. Highly recommended! ✔️Coverage: Even though I tend to apply very thinly, the coverage is still above average for such a light application. ✔️Recommended skin tone: I usually use shade 21 with other cushions, but when I tested this Hera cushion in-store, it seemed a bit dark. So I bought 17C1, and it blends seamlessly with my neck without looking mismatched. It brightens my complexion naturally, similar to a brightening moisturizer. If you like a more radiant look, you could even go two shades lighter! Cushion shade: My complexion is around 22-23, but I prefer a brighter look, so I bought shade 21. It brightened my skin naturally without making my face look disconnected from my neck. The result was beautiful! Skin appearance: As someone with combination dehydrated skin that tends to get oily, I often find cushions heavy and greasy. However, the Black Cushion's signature powder-like, lightweight texture felt incredibly comfortable. Longevity: Perhaps due to its matte finish, there was minimal transfer on my cheeks, and it lasted remarkably well. Even when friends pinched my cheeks or touched my face, it barely budged! Adherence: Using the included puff, it applies thinly and naturally, adhering to the skin without feeling heavy. There was almost no sensation of it sitting on top of the skin. Wear: While some oil does come through over time, it actually melds with the skin, creating an even more beautiful finish. It never felt excessively oily. Repurchase: I've bought this three times now, and each time I've been thoroughly satisfied. It's truly my holy grail matte cushion. Skin type recommendation: Highly recommended for combination dehydrated, oily, and very oily skin types. If you're a fan of matte cushions, you'll absolutely love this product. Not suitable for dry skin: The very matte formula may emphasize flakiness or dead skin cells on dry skin types, so I wouldn't recommend it for them. Winter flaking: Despite my combination dehydrated skin, I occasionally experienced some flaking in winter. A hydrating base is a must during colder months. Settling into lines: While it applies thinly, I have deep smile lines, and it did somewhat emphasize them. Due to its strong staying power, simply patting wasn't enough to fix creasing - I had to smooth out the product and reapply. When used with the Luna concealer, it created a beautiful skin finish and covered blemishes well. When it comes to coverage, Hera products are the go-to choice. As someone with sensitive and combination skin, I use Hera products very well. I always stock up on them when they're on sale. The Hera Black Cushion Foundation truly delivers excellent coverage. Unfortunately, it's not suitable for dry skin. I loved how well it concealed my pores. It creates a beautifully blurred skin finish. Unfortunately, I always woke up with blemishes on my cheeks the day after using this product, so I don't think I can continue using this cushion. The coverage felt quite heavy on my skin. It also has a strong powdery cosmetic scent.
