It definitely has a calming effect. The texture is very fluid, but it absorbs quickly and leaves the skin feeling hydrated. The consistency is quite runny, so you need to apply it carefully. It has a slight herbal scent that might not be everyone's cup of tea. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinOct 12, 2024
It's truly excellent for soothing! Being pure tea tree essence, it's fantastic for calming blemishes. I love applying layers of this ampoule when my skin is acting up. While it's on the pricier side, it's worth every penny. I don't feel like I'm wasting money on this! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinSep 5, 2024
I got this product through a Hwahae event, and it happened to be when I was visiting the dermatologist for acne issues. I'm not sure if it was the combination of medical treatment and this product, but when I first used it after cleansing, the cooling effect seemed to slightly reduce redness right away. As I continued using it, the cooling sensation wasn't as noticeable as the first time, but I was extremely satisfied with how it improved my skin texture and calmed my skin. I plan to keep purchasing and using it in the future! The price is quite steep... 58,000 won... It seems like I'll need to keep an eye out for buy-one-get-one-free promotions and sales. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 23, 2024
The lightweight formula is perfect for summer use. It feels gentle and soothing, making it ideal for sensitive skin. The thin consistency allows for multiple layers without pilling, absorbing well into the skin. The scent is a bit off-putting. Those with dry skin might find it lacks sufficient hydration. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJun 2, 2024
This ampoule, which I received as part of The Hwahae Testers program, is perfect for the current weather. Its water-like texture doesn't feel sticky at all. When applied right after cleansing, it's incredibly soothing and I absolutely love it! I'm even considering repurchasing. The scent is reminiscent of tea tree. There's nothing I dislike about this product. I'm glad I won this event and discovered such a great item. However, if you're expecting a thick, sticky texture typical of some ampoules, you might be a bit disappointed. It's best to think of this as a calming ampoule rather than a moisturizing one. For the best skin-soothing effects, apply it right after cleansing, following your toner. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 31, 2024
- Excellent soothing effect - Lightweight and spreads easily - Very comfortable to use - Absorbs well without pilling - Effectively reduces redness overnight - Subtle scent (slight herbal aroma) = Highly recommended as a calming ampoule for sensitive skin (I plan to repurchase) - A bit pricey for students - Opaque packaging makes it hard to gauge usage - Slight oily feel (though it absorbs quickly) - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 26, 2024
It absorbs so well, gliding onto the skin beautifully! The application is truly top-notch. As someone with super sensitive combination dehydrated skin, I can slather this on generously after cleansing without any discomfort. It feels incredibly soothing. On days when my skin is sensitive and flushed, I cool it down before use, and it quickly calms my complexion. As someone with sensitive, dehydrated yet oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this for extremely dry skin types as it might not provide complete hydration! It works wonderfully as a base layer after cleansing. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 20, 2024
This is a life-changing ampoule for combination dehydrated skin! As someone who's always on the hunt for the perfect ampoule, I love that this one isn't too heavy. It has a very fluid, water-like consistency, but when you follow up with a cream, it creates a nice, firm base. The soothing effect seems great - while it might not tackle major blemishes, it does wonders for those tiny, occasional bumps. If you just leave it be, it calms down nicely. I'll definitely be repurchasing! Despite its water-like texture, applying too much can cause your base makeup to clump a bit. Be careful when applying it on your forehead - if it runs into your eyes, it can cause a tingling sensation. Just a heads up! I've tried mixing a small amount into my modeling mask. It feels like it creates a synergistic effect when used as a soothing mask. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 19, 2024
When first applied, it has a very watery texture, so I thought it might be too light for my combination skin. However, it's a product that layers beautifully. That's why I apply 2-3 layers on areas that need extra hydration! It contains azulene, which seems to have a soothing effect as well. Interestingly, during my cycle, my skin usually has a golden period, but then breaks out after it ends. I started using this right after my cycle ended, and surprisingly, I didn't experience any breakouts this month...? There aren't any... I don't think there are any downsides... because there wasn't anything particularly problematic. It's a product that layers well, so applying it multiple times provides great hydration and works wonders! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 18, 2024
With the changing seasons, my skin was acting up - red and bumpy. But after using this for over a week, it's noticeably calmed down. My skin tends to be dehydrated and prone to redness, but applying this after toner feels like it's replenishing moisture and soothing my complexion. The texture is watery and thin, with almost no scent. The more I layer it, the more hydrated and calmed my skin feels. It's really helped reduce redness too. I think it's because of the skin-loving ingredients like azulene, centella, green tea, and peptides. Even though I have super sensitive skin, it doesn't sting at all - just feels comfortable without any stickiness. As a boosting ampoule, I'd say it lives up to its name perfectly. I don't have any complaints about the product itself... It's just that even when it's on sale, it feels a bit pricey to me. The effects are good, but there are so many great products out there these days... I wonder if increasing the volume might be a better approach. I struggle with severe redness, so I first apply Skinfood carrot pads on my cheeks for 10 minutes while drying my hair. Then I layer this azulene ampoule twice. It's like magic - my skin looks clear as if the redness was never there.
