When there are temperature changes, my skin is prone to redness. I really disliked winter because of this. Even when I tried products that were said to be good for redness, I didn't see much effect. However, with the Neogen Cica Balm, I've seen a lot of improvement, if not complete resolution of the redness. I apply it generously before bed and it leaves a luminous glow, not an oily feeling. The amount is small for the price, but I don't find it regrettable at all. There is a scent, but it doesn't bother me. I just hope this product doesn't get discontinued.
ConsThe lid seems weaker than expected. I dropped it slightly, and the lid broke. It might be good if the packaging is changed. I'm quite satisfied with the rest.
TipYou could say it's a bit grainy, but if you rub it directly on your face, it might be too irritating. It's better to dispense it onto the back of your hand and then gently apply it to your face little by little. It melts quickly, so you can layer it on. I even use it before makeup because of the redness, and if you apply it thinly and wait a bit before doing your makeup, it doesn't interfere with the makeup application.

The soothing effects are incredible when I wake up in the morning! 🩵 These days, with the drastic temperature changes, my face tends to get easily irritated, and as someone with acne-prone skin, I often experience breakouts. But the Calming Balm has been great at replenishing my skin's moisture, and the cica scent is so refreshing. They say the formula is gentle enough for even infants, so I can really trust and use it without worry. Compared to slathering my face in thick Vaseline, the plant-based Cica Nut Calming Balm doesn't feel heavy or burdensome at all. The absorption is also great, leaving no sticky or uncomfortable feeling. After a workout, applying this gives such a lovely cooling sensation~~~~! I highly recommend getting this before summer arrives!🩷🩷
ConsThe only downside is that since the product is in a solid balm form, it's not the easiest to apply a generous amount. It would be great if they included a small spoon or scoop to help with that! ㅎㅎ
TipIt's also great to use this as a lip balm or eye cream because of its nourishing, oily texture. ㅎㅎㅎㅎ

The scent was like pine?! As the similar scent seemed sincere, I liked it. As it is a vegan product, I liked it even more, and it felt refreshing when applied cold.
ConsI didn't feel a drop in body temperature when applying it without refrigeration. The most difficult part was spreading it at night as it got dark.

The texture, the feel, and the scent - all of them!! 1. Scent Nutcerin has a minty, refreshing scent, which I think will be quite polarizing for people Luckily, I'm one of those who likes it 2. Feel Vaseline is thick and oily, so after applying it, it feels extremely slippery and heavy But this one feels less oily, which I liked 3. Texture Vaseline has a thick, sticky texture, so you have to scoop a generous amount with your fingers to apply it This one has a solid, balm-like texture, so you can just gently scrape it off with your fingers This allows you to apply it thinly and it melts smoothly into the skin 4. Key Features Some may mistake it as similar to Vaseline, but even though the appearance is similar, the key difference is that it's 99.9% plant-derived and has soothing effects So it can be used by people of all ages without irritation, which is a great advantage 5. Other Uses It's great for using on cuticles, heels, lips, and other dry body parts, as well as for soothing skin after sun exposure It's quite versatile in its applications
ConsI'm not sure if it really has sun-soothing effects, I'll have to use it more to know for sure Since there is still some oiliness, you have to be careful to apply it according to your skin type

It melts quickly with body heat. I thought it might feel a bit heavy, but once applied, it doesn't feel oily, nor does it feel heavily moisturized. It's somewhere in the middle of moisture and oil. After washing my face, it didn't make my skin look flushed, which was good. It has a tea tree-like scent. It's also convenient to carry around, and for those with dry skin, a smaller version would be great to have on hand.
ConsThere's no spoon-like tool (and the container is a bit cramped), so it's a bit iffy in terms of hygiene, but if you're the only one using it, it shouldn't be a problem. I thought it would have a cooling effect, but honestly, I didn't feel any cooling when I applied it. Instead, it had a slight warming sensation, like those cooling patches or ointments. But the sensation didn't last long. I didn't experience any breakouts or issues, and my skin felt smooth the next day when I washed my face, so it wasn't bad overall.

Nutcerin has been on my radar since the Nourishing Balm days, as a nostalgic Vaseline product. The texture is balm-like, so it's firm, but it melts smoothly on the skin when applied. Since it's a jar format, you need to use a spatula or your fingernail to scoop it out, which can be a bit inconvenient. The scent is herbal, like the scent found in skincare products with centella. (I personally enjoy herbal fragrances.) As it melts with body heat, it becomes more oily in texture and you can feel the oiliness, but it's not sticky at all. It's just the right amount of oiliness, similar to Banila Co's Cleansing Balm. So you need to apply only a small amount. During the day, I prefer to apply it only to the drier areas like the cheeks and around the mouth, as applying it all over the face can feel heavy. I didn't really notice the expected moisturizing effect, perhaps because of the soothing ingredients. There's a slight coating feeling, so it's better to apply it before the last step of sunscreen. But it doesn't interfere with makeup application.
ConsWhile I didn't experience any breakouts despite feeling like my skin barrier was compromised, this product alone may not provide enough hydration. It seems best to use this as a 'sealing' step after applying a hydrating serum, to lock in the moisture. During the summer, the oily finish might make me hesitant to use it.
TipThe finish feels like a thin film, so I thought it might have a primer-like effect, but that doesn't seem to be the case. This is a great multi-purpose balm to bring on trips, as it can be used as a hand cream, body cream, or facial cream!

It has a candle-like feel. - It has a floral, minty scent that is slightly sweet and refreshing. It likely won't be a polarizing fragrance. - It adheres to the skin immediately and absorbs well. - It has less oiliness than Vaseline, so the finish is soft and just right. - I applied it to my elbows, heels, and even used it to groom my eyebrows, and it felt smooth and nice.
Cons- It doesn't spread very easily, so you have to put in a bit of effort, and spreading it over a large area can be a bit tricky. - Since I have oily skin, I'm hesitant to use it on my face. When I applied it before bed, my skin was quite oily the next day, and it didn't really improve my skin condition. But it does provide good moisture, and there was no tightness.
TipApplying it after grooming your eyebrows may be beneficial for your skin. I would recommend this to those with dry skin.

I wish I could make it into a perfume and wear it every day. The centella scent is so good, it's unbelievable..... I thought it would have a thick, ointment-like texture like Beserin, but it's actually soft and smooth, like applying a thin layer of ointment. I really love it! When I apply it to dry areas, it makes my skin feel so moisturized and hydrated!!! 👍👍👍👍
ConsHmm, I'm still not sure about the calming effects yet.
TipWhen I apply it to my nose and smell it, it really calms my mind and I love it ♥️

It has an aromatherapy feel? It feels like I'm receiving healing, so I applied a lot at once, haha. But you shouldn't do that. It's vegan and the ingredients are very gentle, so I just left it on my lips and slept, haha.
ConsNo matter how good the product is, the balm form is still a bit disappointing for oily skin... 😢 When I wake up, the oil has doubled, so... 🥲 It was good for soothing inflammatory acne, but I didn't see much effect on closed comedones, which is a shame.
TipAfter completing my entire skincare routine, in the last step I dotted the inflammatory acne with a cotton swab and went to sleep. When I woke up, the reddish-purple spots had gone down a bit, which was surprising! Since it's not a medication, the effects don't show up immediately, but after using it for about 3 days, you can gradually see the improvement. You don't need to apply a lot, just a light dab! Especially for oily skin folks... Do you know why? I also wanted to know the reason, hehe. Don't think of it like a cream.

As someone with poor circulation, I had no issues using it. The formula is similar to Vaseline, but this product has a soothing floral scent, which I personally enjoy, though some may not like it. After struggling with skin inflammation, I found this product created a protective layer on my skin without irritation. Even on days when my skin was flushed, applying this helped calm it down and leave my complexion looking clearer. I'm not sure about its ability to soothe heat-related irritation, as the weather hasn't been too hot yet, but I did notice it helped relieve discomfort from shaving. Applying it after improper hair removal would make the area feel better. While using a generous amount on the face can cause some stray hairs to stick, it doesn't feel overly tacky or disruptive. I feel this product helps lock in moisture well. Applying it as the last step after serums and moisturizers keeps my skin feeling hydrated and glowing the next morning.
ConsThe only potential downside I can think of is that the price seems a bit high considering the product size.
TipIf you need to use a larger amount, it's easier to scoop it from the top edge with your fingertip rather than trying to dig it out.
