I've used up my usual shading stick, so I tried the Hwahae out of curiosity, and I've switched to it! The wide surface area that contacts the skin makes it so much more convenient! The one I used before was thin, so I had to apply it like drawing a picture, but with this, just one swipe is enough, which is a whole new world for me. There are a lot of brown-toned shading products, but they often look messy on my cool-toned skin, but this one matches cool-toned skin really well, so it's not awkward and really helps define the contours. Cool-toned people, you must try this. At the Daiso store, I found brand-name products that were the same shape as others, but sold at half the price. ㅠㅠ - hy*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinRednessRecommendedMay 18, 2025
The natural-looking color tone is perfect for cool-toned skin, much more natural than yellow-toned contouring! 🫶 It blends seamlessly on the cheekbones, nose bridge, and jawline, and applies without any heaviness, making it ideal for everyday use. The blendability is great, so even beginners can easily create shadows. 🙌 It's a bit firm, so it's better to dab it on with a puff rather than applying it directly, as it may slide off. 🙈 1. Lightly dab your thumb on the bridge of your nose and gently sweep it across for a natural shading effect! 👃 2. For shading the jawline, start from below the ear and sweep diagonally down - this creates the illusion of a slimmer face 📐💕 3. After shading, set it lightly with a translucent powder for longer-lasting results! 🌬️✨ - yo********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 3, 2025
The color is nice and it absorbs well. I apply it by drawing lines where I want, then gently pat it in with a sponge. It seems suitable only for larger areas. For areas like the nose, you'll need a different contouring product. - hq********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessApr 20, 2025
There don't seem to be many thick contouring sticks suitable for jawline shading in Korea yet, aside from the thin ones for nose contouring. This one is great for easily defining the jawline contour. I bought this after finishing my contouring stick from an overseas Sephora. Compared to foreign brands, it blends very well but doesn't seem to set as nicely. Although it's supposed to be a cool bronzer, it's not as cool-toned as I expected. I'm a bit disappointed with the color and performance, so I probably won't repurchase. They're advertising this as the product Park Na-rae used on 'I Live Alone', but I know for sure that the one she used was the foreign brand I bought from Sephora (it's a FENTY BEAUTY product). This one is different, just so you know. - ly*****Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRecommendedApr 7, 2025
As someone with cool undertones (shade 21), I found this color to be naturally flattering. It's a grayish-brown that's perfect for a subtle look! I prefer a natural contour, so I was really pleased with this aspect. It's my first time trying a stick product after only using powders, and I'm satisfied with how it applies without clumping or drying out my skin. It adheres to the skin really smoothly. The product has a bit of thickness to it, which means you might need some practice to get used to contouring the nose area. It can be a little challenging to achieve very precise application. Though, I should mention that this might just be because I'm new to stick formulas and not used to them yet. The color of this product was also perfect for adding some definition around the lips. It's suitable not just for contouring the nose and face perimeter, but also for creating subtle shadows around the mouth area. - ca*******Dry SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsFeb 28, 2025
I was worried about stick contours often ruining my base makeup or clumping, but this one applies smoothly and blends beautifully! The color has a grayish undertone, but it doesn't make your face look dull at all. I highly recommend this for those who use foundation shade 17! The stick is quite thick, so you'll need a tool for contouring your nose area. - gi********Normal SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedFeb 26, 2025
I bought this after seeing Sine's review, and it's incredibly convenient for contouring my jawline! It's on the moisturizing side, so it's a bit of a hassle to have to cover it with a powder contour on top. - hy*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinFeb 23, 2025
The color payoff and texture are natural, and it blends beautifully, which I really appreciate. I'm a bit unsure if it's causing some slight tingling in certain areas where I applied it. - wl********Combination SkinRecommendedFeb 9, 2025
Highly recommended for those blessed with fuller cheeks! As someone with cool undertones, I find this shade quite suitable. It applies smoothly without clumping, and I've been using it effectively by blending the edges with a sponge. The size is quite large, making it more suitable for contouring the jawline. It's challenging to control the amount for nose contouring. If you're looking to contour your nose, opt for a thinner product. For best results, first define the jawline with a contour stick, then blend it out with a sponge. Follow up with a powder contour for a more natural finish and improved staying power. - be***********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJan 15, 2025
The color payoff is excellent, and it's great for blending naturally over larger areas. The staying power is quite good, and the intense pigmentation works perfectly for my shade 25 skin tone without any issues. It's described as a cool bronzer, but there's surprisingly more red undertone than expected. Also, it's challenging to blend in smaller areas.
