I loved the gentle ingredients, and I bought it because they included a free lip balm. The lip balm's ingredients and how it absorbs are really excellent. The cleansing effectiveness is quite weak. It doesn't feel like it effectively removes sunscreen or skin impurities, and unlike other cleansing products, I don't feel any skin improvement after use, which is disappointing. I bought the Illumiel Cleansing Gel right away after checking the product info, thinking it would be light and gentle. I was curious about it, especially since I was running out of my current cleanser. It's great for use when you've applied sunscreen or light makeup, as it doesn't drip and cleanses effectively. There's definitely room for improvement when it comes to removing color cosmetics. I had to use a separate makeup remover for that. The scent is nearly undetectable, and you can immediately tell how incredibly gentle it is Not for those expecting a lather - it doesn't foam at all. It's gentle and great for morning cleansing, but if you apply a thick cream at night, it might not cleanse thoroughly enough

However, as someone with dry and super sensitive skin, using a cleansing foam for both washes was too harsh. That's why I chose this product for my morning routine! Ingredients: I always felt refreshed after washing, but my skin would constantly itch and develop small rashes. I thought I might just be sensitive to temperature changes, but... It turns out the products I was reacting to (even shampoos and body washes) all contained 'citric acid'! In fact, most cleansing products include this ingredient. While it can be beneficial for the skin in moderate amounts, it can irritate sensitive skin like mine in high concentrations. So, I searched endlessly for a gentle cleanser without this ingredient, and finally found this cleansing gem! No residue: This is my first time using a cleansing gel. When applying it to the skin, it feels slippery and almost slime-like, but as you massage it in, you feel a slight warmth. After rinsing with water, there's no residue, and you're left with a refreshing cleanse that maintains skin's moisture! Hydration: Due to the gel's properties, I felt like it stripped less moisture from my skin compared to cleansing foams. Pump: You need to press the pump several times (I usually do it 6-7 times) to get the desired amount! It would be more convenient if more product came out with each pump. It's also annoying that a bit of gel always remains on the pump tip after the last use. Cleansing effectiveness: Having switched from a lip and eye remover/cleansing oil-cleansing foam routine to this cleansing gel, I noticed the cleansing power isn't as strong. So, it seems more suitable as a morning cleanser to wash away the oils produced overnight! It lathers well and has excellent cleansing effectiveness. It's gentle and leaves my skin feeling hydrated. There's nothing to complain about with this product. It's truly a great item.

There's nothing really disappointing about the product itself, but if I had to nitpick - the dispenser is way too narrow for its texture. It's like a cleansing oil bottle! Since I have a large face area and can't stand a dry rolling sensation, I use it generously. This means I have to pump it five times... A wider pump dispenser or even a tube type might work better! Don't expect this product to be a deep cleanser. It's perfect for those mornings when you haven't even applied sunscreen yet! When just water isn't enough, but you don't need a full-on foamy scrub, this is your go-to. For me, that's my morning routine. Apply generously to a dry face, gently roll it around, then rinse. It won't leave your skin squeaky clean, but it effectively removes overnight oil buildup and feels more refreshing than just water. It's such a mild cleanser that people with oily skin might find it insufficient even for morning use. So, if oil control is your main concern, this might not be the best fit for you.
