The cap is easy to open, which is convenient. After using it for a while, I've noticed that if you prep your skin well, it applies smoothly without pilling and feels quite hydrating for a mineral sunscreen. It does have a slight oily sheen at first, but it becomes more natural-looking after a short while.
ConsThe white cast is quite noticeable, almost like kabuki makeup, which is a bit... off-putting. It tends to emphasize areas with sebum, like around the nose, so I'm hesitant to use it. The white cast is pretty intense initially, but it does become more natural over time. The scent is quite strong! It's a floral or herbal kind of fragrance that's quite potent when first applied, but it doesn't linger, so it's not too bothersome.
TipHmm... Instead of rubbing it in, try patting it on gently. Then, finish by lightly patting with a puff spritzed with facial mist - that seems to work better. Make sure to thoroughly hydrate and moisturize your skin before applying. If you do this, it goes on smoothly without pilling or clumping. You can even apply it quickly without worrying about it pilling or clumping!

As a mineral sunscreen, it was gentle and non-irritating. I could even apply it on my eyelids without any tingling sensation! 2. The white cast provides a brightening effect. Since I bought a slightly darker foundation, this was a plus for me. However, it might be a drawback for others as it seems to brighten the complexion by about 1-1.5 shades. 3. Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it has a smooth application. Often, mineral sunscreens can be patchy when applied with a spatula, but this one has a relatively hydrating formula.
Cons1. The white cast. As mentioned above... for those who only want a slight brightening effect, this might appear too white. 2. I thought it wouldn't pill, but it does... When I applied just the sunscreen, it was fine. But when I put foundation over it, unlike my previous experience with Espoir sunscreen, this one pills like dead skin cells... The sunscreen and foundation clump together around my eyes. It's okay if you use this alone, but if you're planning to apply foundation over it, you really need to apply it very, very thinly. 3. It claims to have sebum control, so I expected it to keep oil at bay. However, after about 4 hours in hot weather, my nose was shiny. Is that considered long-lasting? Still, it seems to control oil better than the Espoir Water Splash Sun Cream I used before...
TipIt seems that applying it thickly can cause pilling, so it's best to use a spatula to apply a thin layer and then blend it with a sponge.
