Oily skin True to its name, it's a no-sebum powder! Gives a wonderfully matte feeling!! Naturally evens skin tone It's way too drying and feels a bit cakey. It doesn't apply smoothly, which makes it difficult to use. That's why I'm only using it on my neck as a substitute for brightening moisturizer with SPF. If you're planning to use it on your face, I'd suggest buying something else instead This review compares the product's effectiveness for different skin types and areas of application. For oily skin, it seems to work well as a mattifying powder that also evens out the complexion. However, for other skin types, especially dry or combination dehydrated skin, it might be too drying and difficult to apply smoothly. The reviewer suggests using it only on the neck as an alternative to a brightening moisturizer with sun protection, but advises against using it on the face if you have drier skin. - hn******Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 12, 2025
It absorbs well with a silky texture, leaving the skin moisturized, though it does have a slight white cast. Everything's great, but I wasn't too fond of the scent. The powdery fragrance is quite strong. - ki*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedApr 15, 2025
My skin type is combination dehydrated and sensitive. I used this in a hot climate while sweating, so I didn't feel much dryness. Pros: Although I'm not a fan of tone-up products, this one evens skin tone naturally, making my skin look brighter. The absorption is good, and while it can be a bit drying, it prevents makeup from breaking down. If you have a solid base skincare routine, it should work well. It's a bit irritating, so those with super sensitive skin might want to avoid it. When my skin was sensitive from sun exposure, applying it felt like my face was on fire! I'm also skeptical about its sun protection. I applied it generously but still got sunburned. After application, the residue on hands feels awful due to its sebum-controlling properties, so you must wash your hands. Surprisingly though, it doesn't feel suffocating on the face. - as*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 3, 2025
Despite being a mineral sunscreen, it applies smoothly and doesn't make my skin feel excessively dry! The cap is easy to open, which is convenient. After using it for a while, I've noticed that if you prep your skin well, it applies smoothly without pilling and feels quite hydrating for a mineral sunscreen. It does have a slight oily sheen at first, but it becomes more natural-looking after a short while. The white cast is quite noticeable, almost like kabuki makeup, which is a bit... off-putting. It tends to emphasize areas with sebum, like around the nose, so I'm hesitant to use it. The white cast is pretty intense initially, but it does become more natural over time. The scent is quite strong! It's a floral or herbal kind of fragrance that's quite potent when first applied, but it doesn't linger, so it's not too bothersome. Hmm... Instead of rubbing it in, try patting it on gently. Then, finish by lightly patting with a puff spritzed with facial mist - that seems to work better. Make sure to thoroughly hydrate and moisturize your skin before applying. If you do this, it goes on smoothly without pilling or clumping. You can even apply it quickly without worrying about it pilling or clumping! - al*****Dry SkinEnlarged PoresJan 22, 2025
It's usable if you really need to, I suppose. To be honest, I'm struggling to find any standout positives. For a sebum control product, it feels oddly greasy and changes my complexion in an unnatural way. It's oily but doesn't provide that moisturizing feeling, so the overall experience is quite perplexing. - wg******Normal SkinRecommendedSep 20, 2024
I love that it doesn't make my neck greasy, and it's perfect for a foundation-free look without any shine. If you have dry skin, you might find it challenging to use this before applying makeup. - ka*************Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsRednessRecommendedSep 14, 2024
As someone who becomes an oil-slick in summer, I was on the hunt for a sunscreen that wouldn't turn me into a grease ball. That's why I decided to try the Edith B No Sebum Sunscreen, and here's my review: ☑️ Application: Before buying, I was worried it might be thick and hard to spread, given it's a 'no sebum' sunscreen. But I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly it glides on the skin! ☑️ White cast: There's a slight white cast, but it settles into a natural brightening effect that's not overwhelming at all. ☑️ Oil control: It feels moisturizing when you apply it, but once it sets, your skin feels smooth and velvety! Sometimes no-sebum sunscreens can make your skin feel tight or flakey, but this one doesn't do that at all! ☑️ Skin type recommendation: I'd recommend this for those with oily or combination dehydrated skin. ☑️ Makeup compatibility: I usually use a semi-matte cushion foundation, and this sunscreen works great as a base - no pilling at all! ⭐️ Overall impression and recommendation: Most sunscreens on the market are too greasy for me, leaving me reaching for powder by midday. But with this one, my skin stays shine-free even in the afternoon. Its smooth application and great makeup compatibility make me super satisfied. I highly recommend this as a summer sunscreen! It works hard to keep your complexion matte and protected. Those with super sensitive skin might find it a bit too matte. - wa********Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 12, 2024
* Perfect for oily summer skin, especially those with an oily T-zone and dry areas around the eyes and mouth. Ideal for finicky skin types. Did you know that EDIT:B is BBIA's skincare line? These are carefully crafted basic skincare products from BBIA. I love all of EDIT:B's skincare products, and this one is no exception. (Every product I've tried so far has been a success!) Here's why: As the name 'Sebum' suggests on the sunscreen, this product effectively controls oil. It doesn't completely stop oil production, but it manages it to a comfortable level. There's no white cast, but it does provide a very subtle brightening effect. It applies moisturizing without feeling sticky. It doesn't cause makeup to pill, and makeup adheres well over it. What I love most is its fresh, green scent. Although it does contain fragrance, which might be a downside for some, I personally enjoyed it. It has great absorption, a light texture, and sebum-controlling properties. I'd recommend this to those with oily skin or students experiencing hormonal changes and excessive oil production! While I don't have any complaints using it myself, those who prefer sunscreens with a very moisturizing texture - like serums or essences that feel like they're enveloping the skin with hydration - might not love this product. Therefore, I wouldn't recommend it for those with dry skin. - tp*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedAug 29, 2024
The ingredients are great, so even sensitive skin didn't experience any blemishes or irritation! The application feels a bit thick and heavy. Other than that, there's nothing to complain about! - yu*****Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedAug 16, 2024
I'm really satisfied with its oil control function. After applying it in the morning, I notice less oil coming through even in the afternoon. It gives a dewy glow effect, which might not be for everyone if you don't like that look. Also, there's a slight rose-like scent to it. If you control the amount well, you can minimize the white cast.
