I've been using Heart Percent for a long time and recently switched to this. It's absolutely amazing! The color payoff is so natural, and it feels lightweight on the lips. The staying power is a bit short, unfortunately. It could be because my tint has a glowy finish, but still... I find myself reapplying every couple of hours using a lip pencil. But it's so pretty that I don't mind this minor inconvenience. If you use a lip primer underneath, the color looks even more vibrant and the longevity improves significantly. - gy*******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 22, 2025
1. Directly under the light 2. With the light slightly behind The color falls between 1 and 2, but 2 seems closer. The lip pencil glides on smoothly, with the salmon hue more prominent than pink. It's less intense and less muted than the "nude rosy" shade. Seems like it would suit any lip color. No downsides yet. The color is better than expected and it absorbs well with a smooth application. - ez*****Combination SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 19, 2025
I recently tried this lip pencil, and it's an absolute steal for the price. Honestly, I think its quality rivals even higher-end products. Usually, lip pencils tend to have a matte, stiff formula that can cling to dead skin cells, emphasize flakiness, or cause dryness. But this one? None of those issues! It glides on smoothly and effortlessly traces your lip line without any fuss. What I particularly loved was how naturally it muted my lip color. I have quite pigmented, dull lips, so I used to always tone them down with foundation before applying lipstick. But that often looked patchy, settled into lines, and wore off quickly. I decided to give this lip pencil a shot, and wow - it evens out my lip color beautifully without looking cakey or sliding around. Now I can't do my lip makeup without it! It also plays well with other lip products, so I'd recommend it to makeup beginners or anyone still getting the hang of lip looks. It's especially great for creating a subtle overdrawn lip or adding dimension. The downside is that the shades can be a bit tricky. While it's nice for creating a natural lip contour effect, some colors might look a bit grayish or dull. If it doesn't match your lip color well, it could make your lips stand out in an unflattering way. It's not quite natural enough to be truly "your lips but better," but not as vibrant as a lipstick. So if you choose the wrong shade, it could make your entire lip look washed out. Definitely keep that in mind when selecting a color. Also, it can smudge slightly over time, and your lip makeup might look a bit messy after eating. The staying power isn't exceptional, so it's a good idea to check and touch up while you're out. It works well if you use it to define the outer edges of your lips with a tint in the center, but it might not be enough if you're looking for full-lip coverage. For those with naturally dark or dull lip colors, using this pencil to even out your lip tone before applying lipstick works much better than using foundation. It looks more natural and lasts longer too. When creating a subtle overdrawn lip, use this product to outline just beyond your natural lip line, then blend inwards for a more three-dimensional, natural-looking pout. If you find the grayish tones off-putting, try pairing it with a more vibrant inner lip color to create a beautiful contrast. For a plump, lively lip look, try combining the lip pencil with a base lip color, or layer a lighter shade with a darker one in the center - just like in the second photo. Happy makeup experimenting, everyone! - ek******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinInner DrynessRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 10, 2025
I bought this after seeing so many recommendations saying it darkens the lip line! While it doesn't provide full coverage, it does a nice job of evening out my lip color, which I really like. As it wears off over time, it can sometimes leave my lips looking a bit messy. - gu*********Oily SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 3, 2025
An attractive product with a light beige hue If you've found beige lip pencils to be too dark, I'd recommend this one Its color isn't overly bright, blending seamlessly with your lips while refining your lip line The texture is neither too stiff nor too soft, making it a solid choice The slightly lighter color requires blending after application for a natural look The packaging teeters between basic and outdated, which is disappointing Apart from Banila Co's cushions and foundations, most of their packaging fails to boost appeal, which is a bit of a letdown - jy*****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 2, 2025
It's perfect for concealing blue tones around the lip line. It doesn't flake off and has decent staying power. Be careful when using this pencil-type product. If you twist out too much, it can occasionally break. - so********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 12, 2025
As someone with a cool undertone who usually wears shades 19-20 with a slight yellow tinge, I absolutely love the Salmon Nude shade! I've always used lip pencils with pink or red undertones before, but they would look odd after a while. This one changed my game completely. It's a nude beige tone that covers beautifully and looks so natural. The staining power is amazing, and when I touch up my makeup, I just line my lips with this and reapply - it's like I just put it on for the first time. Totally possible to achieve that fresh look! I didn't have any issues with this product. I liked both the color and the formula. - df*********Dry SkinInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedApr 28, 2025
As a faux lip artist, I consider the area I draw with my lip pencil to be my real lips. In that sense, Banila Co's Salmon Nude is absolutely perfect. It's almost identical to my natural lip color, but a shade darker, creating a beautifully natural shadow effect while enhancing my lips. I can't believe I only just bought this now! Don't miss out like I did - head to the store and try it for yourself ASAP! The pencil is a bit thick, which makes it slightly challenging to draw precise lines. Let me share a pro tip for overlining: In the last photo, you can see the white part that pops out when making a '_____' expression. I call this the 'sweet spot'. It's actually part of your lips, but we often overlook it because it lacks color. You can safely overline up to this area and it will still look natural. When defining your lip shape, keep this in mind. At first, you might think it's too much, but once you apply tint and gloss over it, no one will be able to tell! - ha********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedMar 6, 2025
The staying power is absolutely fantastic! It erases even the darkest lip lines like a magic eraser. This product is a savior for those of us with pronounced lip contours. You absolutely must buy it! Due to its long-lasting nature, it can be a bit drying. Applying it to the entire lips might be challenging. - ki********Dehydrated SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessRecommendedDec 12, 2024
- An excellent lip pencil that covers the lip line perfectly and is great for overlining. It seems suitable for all warm skin tones. - Gives a slight dark lip concealer effect. - Glides on smoothly and absorbs well. - The color is slightly off when paired with very pink lip products.
