Hanyul is well-known and seems gentle, so I chose this among various pack-to-foam products. While I probably won't repurchase, there were some positives. After using it, I definitely felt like my oily skin was more balanced, and my skin felt hydrated. I especially noticed fewer sebum plugs around my nose area, which was great. However, while it temporarily helped with sebum control, I didn't feel like it reduced sebum production overall.
ConsI was disappointed with the texture and scent. Since this was my second pack-to-foam product, I naturally compared it to the previous one I'd used. The sticky consistency made it difficult to spread evenly, which was frustrating. As for the fragrance, I'm not sure if it's mugwort or something else (though I suspect it's mugwort), but the strong herbal smell was quite off-putting. I have a sensitive nose, so products with scents I don't like tend to sit unused. Unfortunately, that might be the case here.

Its cleansing power is incredibly strong. It seems perfect for controlling oiliness in summer. The texture is quite thick and turns white as you spread it. The sticky feeling gave me the impression that it's great at absorbing sebum. I heard it contains glycerin, which might explain the slight glow my skin has after washing.
ConsUsing this in the relatively dry winter caused irritation and redness on my cheeks after just one use, and I noticed some flaking. As powerful as its cleansing ability is, it can quickly dry out the skin - it's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it product. I'm concerned frequent use might damage the skin barrier, so I'm only using it once a week in the evenings. However, I'm looking forward to trying it in summer when my skin gets oilier and I'm prone to small blemishes. The sticky texture makes it a bit harder to rinse off compared to regular cleansing foams. Highly recommended for those with extremely oily skin!
TipAlthough it's meant to be used as a mask, applying it with your hands gives a more even coverage. When rinsing off, using a sponge is more effective than just your hands.

When used as a foam cleanser, it applies with a rich consistency. As you gently massage it in, you can feel it absorbing excess oil. After rinsing, instead of the squeaky-clean feeling I expected, my skin felt surprisingly hydrated. It seems to balance the oil and moisture levels perfectly. When used as a mask, you might feel a slight tightening as it dries, similar to a clay mask. However, once you rinse it off with lukewarm water, your skin feels moisturized and supple. There's even a subtle sensation of improved elasticity - just a feeling, mind you, but one I particularly enjoyed. Despite not being a fan of mugwort, I found the scent wasn't overpowering, making it comfortable to use.
ConsWhile I appreciated how it balanced my skin's oil and moisture, I wouldn't recommend this product if you're looking for that squeaky-clean feeling after cleansing. The chewy, mochi-like foam texture was a bit challenging to get used to at first. It has a slightly sticky feel, which combined with the textured foam, felt a bit heavy during sweaty summer days. I got accustomed to it over time, but first-time users might find this sensation a bit uncomfortable.
TipFor enhanced results, use this product after exfoliating with a peeling gel. Many people have commented that it gives their skin a dewy (not greasy) glow in summer, making their complexion look genuinely radiant.
