I tried a sample and it's not bad at all. It really feels and smells like mashed potatoes. It's not too inconvenient to use, and as with other Skinfood products, the scent is subtle and natural, so it's not overwhelming. Personally, I find wash-off masks a bit of a hassle, so I don't plan on purchasing this myself. Don't leave the wash-off mask on for too long. Five minutes is plenty for it to work its magic. - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAcne SkinApr 18, 2025
Right after using it, my skin looks brighter and I love the potato scent. It absorbs well into the skin. It only brightens the skin immediately after use, but the effect fades within minutes. It's difficult to wash off and doesn't seem to have any lasting benefits. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 8, 2024
This is a summer savior for soothing skin care... The scent is exactly like when you're making a potato and flour mask, which was a bit surprising at first! The texture is like a slightly starchy, fluffy mashed potato - not as powdery as other products in the series, but still has that soft, flour-like feel. It's packed with moisture and has a crumbly, mashed potato consistency. When applied, it's amazing for calming any blemishes or skin irritation. It's really good at instantly soothing when your face feels hot. It's gentler than products with mint and you can feel it immediately drawing out that burning sensation. It's truly... fantastic. It leaves a hydrating finish even for dry skin, so I highly recommend it! I was about to say it's absolutely perfect, but honestly, the scent might remind you of vomit if you smell it when you're feeling nauseous. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 1, 2024
It leaves my skin soft and hydrated after rinsing! As someone with dry skin, I'm thrilled that it doesn't leave my face feeling tight, but instead finishes with a moisturizing effect. The texture truly feels like mashed potatoes. The scent reminds me of rice water. Even without refrigeration, it has a slightly cooling sensation. It's a bit challenging to rinse off, so I use a cleansing brush. Other than that, I don't have any complaints. - Hwahae UserOily SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2024
This product is truly amazing, but it's a shame it's not more well-known! I really hope everyone gives it a try (I'm afraid it might be discontinued...). Scent: It smells like a morning sunshine drink! There's a subtle, nutty grain scent that just puts you in a good mood. Texture: It has a soft, powdery texture with no roughness at all. It feels like mashed potatoes. Effects: When you apply it to skin that's heated up or irritated, it instantly cools down. This calm, cooling sensation lasts for a while, and it's never harshly intense. I'd recommend this to anyone who found Lush masks or 'Shrek' masks too irritating. Personally, I didn't notice an immediate brightening effect or reduction in blemishes. However, when I feel inflammation deep in my skin and worry a cystic pimple might be forming, applying this really helps calm things down. Application: It's like a fluffy potato! It can feel a bit slippery when you're applying it to your skin, so you need to layer it on quite thickly. When rinsing off, I expected it to feel squeaky clean, but only the potato particles wash away, leaving your skin feeling soft. I recommend gently massaging as you rinse it off. After washing it all off, I thought my skin might feel dry, but not at all! It leaves just the right amount of hydration and moisture, which I, with my combination dehydrated skin, found very satisfying. Dry skin types, don't worry - give it a try! I've tried various masks from Skinfood before, but they were mostly gel-type and I wasn't satisfied. This one, however, blows them all out of the water. It's my holy grail mask. Everyone, please try to grab this during a sale! There are no downsides. The price is reasonable, and it goes on sale frequently. I can confidently say there are no cons. The mask brush that comes with it applies the product quite thinly. While it gives a clean feeling, I personally prefer applying it thickly with my hands. Also, if you apply it too thinly, it can dry out quickly, so make sure to apply an adequate amount! I bought mine cheaply from Coupang, but I've seen great value sets on various sites. Do some research and make sure to try it out! (I'm not affiliated, just a broke student...) Here are some tips on where I usually shop for Skinfood products: • Official website and official Naver store: Often have better benefits on the official site. Rarely have simultaneous sales. • Coupang, Hwahae: Often have great value sets. Big discounts and usually include multiple masks, samples, etc. Sales cycles come around quickly, so if you miss one, just wait a bit. • Olive Young: Unless it's a big sale, discounts are usually small. Not much benefit unless you're buying in-store. I usually buy in this order: Coupang/Hwahae >= Official Site >>> Olive Young. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 11, 2024
Soft and powdery with a potato-like scent Slightly slippery feeling when rinsing off Less hydrating than the lavender version Doesn't feel particularly moisturizing either
