The coverage is impressive and it has a matte finish. The solid balm texture is key here - it provides excellent coverage, and thanks to the mesh net, you won't experience that clumping effect often seen with balm foundations. I had a similar experience with another brand's sponge+mesh cushion last year, and honestly, I'm not sold on these hybrid formulas. It feels like it's trying to be both a balm and a mesh cushion, but ends up being neither. Even with careful application, it goes on thick, leaving the skin looking parched. I was taken aback by how firm the inside of the mesh net was at first. When you're starting out, you really need to press down more firmly than you'd expect to get the product. - ch********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 7, 2025
This is... wow, it covered everything..! I have a lot of acne on my skin..! But... this is heaven. Just buy it. The adherence is beyond words. There are no downsides. Just buy it. However, it's a bit pricier than regular cushions..? Get it during an Olive Young sale... As someone with blemish-prone skin, I'm amazed at how well this product covers everything. The coverage is so good it feels like a miracle! The way it adheres to the skin is incredible - I can't even describe it. While it's slightly more expensive than your average cushion foundation, I highly recommend grabbing it during an Olive Young sale. Trust me, it's worth every penny for the flawless complexion it provides. - eo*******Oily SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJun 7, 2025
The amount is easy to control, and it covers pores well even without a separate primer. The coverage is decent, and although I thought it might be drying, it's actually pleasantly moisturizing. I think even those without oily skin could use it comfortably in summer. It doesn't finish matte, which is great for touch-ups as it doesn't cake up. A cushion with disappointing adherence. Due to poor adhesion, it tends to come off and create visible edges when you pat it on. Especially if you wear glasses, the foundation often rubs off where they touch your cheeks, and this cushion seems to do so more than other brands. While it's somewhat redeemable because you can touch it up, I probably won't repurchase it if I have to go through all that trouble. The good review highlights the product's ease of use, pore coverage, and versatility for different skin types. It also praises its non-drying formula and ability to be touched up without caking. The bad review focuses on the cushion's poor adherence, tendency to rub off (especially with glasses), and overall high-maintenance nature despite being touch-up friendly. - hy****Oily SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsJun 7, 2025
I really liked how the puff was soft yet firm! I can't think of any other advantages though. The product has several drawbacks: small quantity, severe darkening, poor longevity, and it really emphasizes dead skin cells!! Even after exfoliating, it's still terrible. It's also disappointing that it only comes in two shades. - tr********Dry SkinSensitive SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresDead Skin CellsRecommendedMay 13, 2025
I initially disliked it when I first bought it and stopped using it. But now that it's summer, I've started using it again. Even though I have dry skin, it doesn't flake and the coverage is quite good. The amount is really small. I just refilled it not long ago, but I've already used more than half. - so**********Combination SkinAcne SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2025
It applies incredibly thinly, yet provides excellent coverage. The product dispenses gradually onto the puff, making it perfect for touch-ups! The semi-matte finish means you can skip powder, and even as it wears, it still looks beautiful. At first, I was confused because the product didn't transfer well onto the puff. This cushion seems better suited for touch-ups rather than initial application. Despite being a mesh cushion, it doesn't dispense evenly. - ke*********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRednessRecommendedApr 22, 2025
When I applied it to my skin, it felt lightweight, and the coverage was truly impressive. I was genuinely surprised at how well it covered blemishes and redness with just one application! The coverage is excellent, but it doesn't feel heavy, so my skin doesn't feel suffocated, which I really appreciate. While coverage is crucial, we all know how unattractive it looks when makeup breaks down and becomes patchy. However, with its 24-hour, no-breakdown, no-darkening, retouch-free formula, you can enjoy long-lasting color, pore coverage, and texture-smoothing effects even as time passes. With other cushions, even when using concealer, blemishes and redness would start to show through over time, making my skin look less than perfect. But with this cushion, the coverage lasted all day long. I have combination skin, and I think it might be challenging to use this in winter. If it's not winter, those with combination skin could probably use it daily with good skincare, but for those with dry skin, it might be too drying and could potentially look flaky! - su***********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessDead Skin CellsRecommendedMar 23, 2025
As someone with very dry skin, I struggled to find a cushion that wouldn't fade away in summer. This one is absolutely fantastic! With proper skincare prep, it doesn't cake, offers great coverage, and doesn't oxidize. However, after using it for a few days, I started breaking out terribly. I thought I'd found my holy grail cushion, but this major drawback appeared... It has a yellowish undertone, and while I'm not sure what exactly doesn't agree with my skin, it's causing blemishes. - aa***********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresJan 23, 2025
Skin type: Oily, prone to blemishes, dark circles, shade 21 When applied, it makes your skin look clean and gives you that 'peeled egg' effect (you know what I mean?). The coverage is medium to high - it conceals all small blemishes, though larger scars or acne marks might need a bit of concealer. And above all, the case is absolutely gorgeous! The solid foundation is inside a mesh net, which might make it slightly tricky to control the amount after a few uses. However, thanks to this mesh, the foundation particles seem finer than liquid types, giving a smoother application. The adherence isn't great at first. It takes about 20-30 minutes to really settle into the skin. Also, it's best not to go over the same area twice as it can remove the product. While using this, I didn't experience any major breakouts, but small white blemishes appeared on my nose every time I used it. After a while, the way it breaks down isn't pretty. After 8 hours, the foundation seems to disappear, leaving a messy finish. Looking in the mirror, you might wonder, 'What happened to my skin?' (And this is coming from a student who doesn't nap or lay their head down at school). Also, while the puff is good overall, it tends to attract a lot of dust and lint. I recommend applying it with a sweeping motion rather than patting it on - I found it adheres better this way. Alternatively, you could scrape some product with a spatula and apply a thin layer to the skin, which works well too. - a0**********Oily SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessRecommendedDec 15, 2024
I have oily skin, especially in the T-zone and butterfly zone. I bought this product because it's said to combine the best features of foundation and cushion. Since I take good care of my skin, I didn't notice any issues with dead skin cells or clogged pores. It applied smoothly with a nice, bouncy texture. Being a solid formula, it felt different from my usual cushions, which was refreshing! The mesh helped distribute the product evenly. I'd recommend this for those with oily skin who don't have many skin concerns. Unfortunately, the product wore off around my nose area as time passed. Even though I have extremely oily skin and frequently use blotting papers or powder, this cushion seemed to break down when mixed with oil, especially around the nose. It was disappointing. Also, since it's a solid formula, be careful with the amount you use. If you press too hard thinking it's dried out, you might end up with too much product. You really need to control the amount carefully!
