* It's truly hydrating and refreshing! True to its water primer nature, it instantly absorbs into the skin with a satisfying 'plop'. I love how it keeps the skin moisturized without any dryness, yet doesn't feel sticky at all. It doesn't cause pilling or clumping when used before makeup! * The skin texture improvement is top-notch! It gives a smooth, refined feel to uneven skin texture and rough patches. Thanks to the orange water ingredient, my skin feels noticeably softer, making the next steps of makeup application go on like a dream! * It boosts makeup longevity! When I apply makeup after using this, my look definitely seems to last longer. It controls oil while keeping the skin from getting dehydrated underneath, so my makeup stays put beautifully without any flaking. * The scent is naturally refreshing, not artificial, which gives me a mood boost every time I apply it. The crisp fragrance helped me start my morning makeup routine on a positive note. * The lightweight, fresh feel is fantastic! It applies effortlessly without any heaviness, so there's no uncomfortable sensation at all. Even those who dislike stickiness will be satisfied! Overall, I think the Bona Medusa Water Orange Skin Delete is an excellent water primer for those wanting to prep their skin with a fresh and hydrating base before makeup! It preps the skin cleanly without any stickiness, which seemed to make my makeup apply better and last longer. * Don't expect dramatic pore coverage. This product focuses more on smoothing skin texture and providing hydration as a water primer, so its pore-covering effect might be a bit lacking. If pore coverage is your main concern, it might be better to use this in combination with other products or opt for a dedicated pore primer. * The hydration might be slightly insufficient for extremely dry skin. While it's moisturizing due to its water-based formula, those with severely dry skin might want to go through thorough moisturizing steps before makeup application. This product is more effective at smoothing the skin's surface rather than addressing deep dryness. - dk********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedJun 4, 2025
This primer definitely stands out from others by effectively concealing pores, which is fantastic. I have a feeling it provides better hydration than the standard version. The fact that you need to scoop it out is a bit of a drawback. While they include a spatula, for someone as lazy as me, it's completely unnecessary. Also, the price is a bit on the steep side. Compared to other primers, this one excels at minimizing the appearance of pores, which is a major plus. It seems to offer superior hydration compared to the basic version, which is great for maintaining a healthy complexion. However, the packaging design requiring you to scoop out the product can be inconvenient, especially for those who prefer quick and easy application. The included spatula, while thoughtful, might not appeal to everyone. Lastly, the higher price point might make some hesitate before purchasing. - co*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 15, 2025
I've been using this for a month now! I have combination dehydrated skin, and from the moment I apply this, it's so hydrating that I almost mistook it for a moisturizer! There's definitely a difference in makeup results when using this primer versus not using it. On days without it, my skin feels dry and my makeup looks patchy. But when I use the primer, my foundation applies smoothly, my skin looks more even, and my makeup lasts much longer. I don't have any particular complaints. My only regret is that I didn't discover this product sooner! After applying toner and emulsion, I use a spatula to scoop out the product and spread it over my face. Then I apply sunscreen, followed by foundation or cushion. The hydration it provides helps my makeup adhere better. - tn********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedFeb 27, 2025
Wow, Bona Medusa is really amazing! I loved the Orange Delight so much that I had to get another one. Hehe! The smell is almost like... well, poop. Really... Ha! Am I the only one who thinks this? - bo********Dehydrated SkinAcne SkinEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
As someone with clumsy hands, I struggled to apply the original Bona Medusa evenly, which often led to my makeup looking patchy or pilling. However, the Water Orange product has an emulsion formula that's so easy to spread evenly! It's a perfect choice for those of us who aren't makeup experts. I haven't noticed it much yet, but it seems like my makeup still tends to separate a bit after some time. Though I'm not sure if that's a flaw in the product or just my lack of makeup skills, so it's hard to call it a real drawback. - tp********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedDec 10, 2024
As someone with very dry skin, I found this primer to be a great match. It feels like a soothing gel and hydrating emulsion combined, providing excellent moisture. While I can't think of any major downsides, it's worth noting that due to its intense hydration, it can be challenging to apply makeup until it's completely absorbed.
