It's wonderfully hydrating with excellent absorption, and I love that it's not sticky at all. Perfect for dry skin types! I can't really think of any downsides. The size is too large for carrying around, though. Being in mist form, it seems to provide hydration whenever you need it throughout the day.

While this is marketed as an ampoule mist, I didn't feel the intense hydration typically associated with ampoules. It's more moisturizing than a toner but lighter than an ampoule. As the weather is getting warmer, it's convenient for quick hydration. The mist format is great for spritzing when skin feels dry. However, at night, I find it insufficient on its own, so I apply it twice followed by a moisturizing cream. Personally, I'd recommend this to those with oily or combination dehydrated skin. For dry skin types, it might not be hydrating enough. The fragrance-free formula is a plus. Although it's known as a pore-refining mist, I honestly haven't noticed any pore-minimizing effects yet - I'll need to use it longer to tell. Overall, it seems to do a good job with the basics. The elongated bottle fits comfortably in your hand, making it pleasant to use. After using this mist, I had to replace my cushion foundation, and I noticed my makeup applied incredibly well! I thought it might be due to the new cushion, but it seems this mist really helps makeup adhere beautifully. After applying hyaluronic acid toner, I spray this mist and finish with Laneige Water Bank moisturizer. My skin stays hydrated without feeling sticky until the next day, leaving it plump and comfortable. It might seem like a simple product, but it keeps my skin comfortable and prevents dryness. I actually prefer that the nozzle doesn't produce a fine mist. Since I'm not used to using setting sprays after makeup, I used this as an ampoule alternative. Fine mists can sometimes make it hard to breathe right after spraying, but with this one, I can easily target specific areas without worrying about it getting in my hair. Sometimes I even spray 3-4 pumps into my palm to apply. The scent is supposed to be hinoki cypress oil, but it's very subtle - you have to know it's there to notice it. The fragrance reminds me more of products with cica ingredients than cypress. As someone always concerned about pores, I'm excited to keep using this since it's supposed to be good for them too. It's fantastic, but the price is a bit steep... It seems to run out quickly as you use it. While regular mists only temporarily relieve dryness right after application and the dry feeling returns over time, the La Période All-Day Pore Defense Mist creates a beautiful glow while effectively addressing deep skin dryness. Its mist format makes it easy to use, and it's great even after makeup application. As someone with combination dehydrated skin prone to facial heat, I'm satisfied that it manages my skin's dryness without causing oiliness. When the ampoule is sprayed, it doesn't distribute evenly and tends to clump in some areas, which is a bit disappointing when applying over makeup. Spraying it before and after base makeup creates a dewy, beautiful skin appearance.
