I bought this for quick touch-ups or when I wanted a light complexion boost before going out. It gave a natural brightening effect, which was nice. While it might not last all day, the Nudie Peach shade could work well for a subtle, natural look at school without seeming too made-up. The staying power was disappointing, and it felt like it only provided minimal evening of skin tone, which was a letdown. - la********Dry SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesRednessJan 10, 2025
The coverage was great, even for people with fair skin it brightens a bit! Used it for a month. The adherence could be better, and it comes off easily when touched by water or hands. Try applying powder over the sun cushion. - qk*************Dehydrated SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRecommendedDec 28, 2024
It adheres well to the skin and feels less heavy compared to other cushions. The brightening effect is natural-looking! The price is too high for the amount you get. I bought it during an Olive Young sale, so at least I got it cheaper... If you're expecting high coverage, you might be disappointed with this product. - ha********Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsEnlarged PoresRecommendedJul 23, 2024
It's pleasantly moisturizing without leaving any stickiness or oiliness, making it perfect for summer use. As it's a tone-up cushion, I sometimes apply a thin layer before my regular cushion foundation. This method seems to help my makeup last longer in the summer heat, which I absolutely love. For shade 21, it provides a natural brightening effect that matches my complexion perfectly. The included puff doesn't seem to work well with the product. It feels like the puff absorbs too much of the formula, so I've switched to using a different applicator. - 30*****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedJul 21, 2024
It goes on smoothly and brightens my complexion nicely. I love that I don't need to apply sunscreen separately! However, it's disappointing that it doesn't provide much coverage... - jd********Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 22, 2024
I found that applying this after your skincare routine and then layering your cushion foundation on top really helps with longevity and keeps everything looking fresh! Unlike Espoir's typical mirror-attached cushions, this one has a fabric-like texture, so it doesn't stick to the mirror. That's a nice change! For a brightening moisturizer cushion, it barely evens out the skin tone. If you're looking for something to really brighten your complexion, I wouldn't recommend this shade. - gh*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 16, 2024
✔️ Evens skin tone well even with just skincare, no other base makeup ✔️ Natural enough to use as a foundation-free option ✔️ Strikes a nice balance between moisturizing and matte finish After reading reviews on Olive Young, I was hesitant but decided to buy it. I'm pleasantly surprised by how hydrating it is without pilling! The finish is matte enough that you don't need to set it with powder. As the product description suggests, it brightens your complexion by one or two shades, allowing for a natural-looking base. I usually wear shade 22, but I like how this adapts to my skin tone, brightening it slightly regardless of the shade. As someone with sensitive and dry skin, I was worried, but it's less irritating than other base products I've tried. It's perfect for a quick, light application before heading out! ✔️ Might be too drying for those with dry skin to use year-round - best for summer ✔️ Not recommended for those needing more coverage ✔️ Contains potential allergens like other base products Since I have dry skin but rarely get blemishes, this product alone works fine for me. However, I wouldn't recommend it to those needing more coverage! If coverage is important to you, I'd suggest using this as a thin first layer, then following up with a higher coverage product. Even with my super sensitive skin, I only experienced slight itching in some areas without major irritation! For dry skin types, make sure to layer hydrating skincare underneath. For oily skin types, this allows for a natural-looking complexion!
